Food was very good. Service was as well. Took a minute to read the menu and decipher what things were but everything we ordered was great. Love the buffalo and bbq sauce and the chicken tenders. The Mac and cheese is top notch as well. It's open seating with tall tables and a bar.

This place never misses in providing creative spins on traditional dishes. Portions are big and easily split-able by a couple. Always a great place for a meal....

My client told me to go to this local restaurant and that I must try it out. It was a small space with limited seating. Like a little chill spot. You can see the cook in the kitchen firing the food up from the table seating. Cool view. The waitress was very attentive. She said the lunch menu always get change up. I love pasta so the only thing on the menu was the Smack and Cheese. My lunch date and I both choose that pasta. She got beef tips and I got the grill charred chicken. Their pasta dish didn't come with any bread which was different. Portion size was ok since it was lunch. Needless to say, the food was very very salty. I'm not sure if it was just my tongue having weird taste buds, but I ask my friend and she said it was salty too. She was too hungry so she already killed most of her meats not the pasta. I really try to get some more bite, but man I think the cheese sauce probably were over simmer or maybe they pour extra salt? I didn't even bother to tell our waitress. It was a long day and I was hungry and tired. I just took the rest to go. I also order the lady killer burger togo for my bf and give him my Mac and cheese. He try my food and ask if I added salt to it. The salt really got me dehydrated and I felt a bit sick later. People was nice, but the food today wasn't good. Not a cheap place for lunch, i would recommend the cook to try their food before serving it. Don't know if I will be going back. $93 total plus tips for 3 meals and a coke. I would have just go to olive garden! Sorry just my honest opinion and I never lie about my experience.

I always love coming to Springfield. So many great restaurants and places to enjoy great food and drink. Wanted to try something new and thanks to YELP I found Split Social Kitchen. It's more than a little gem, it's a gold mine! Very casual and small bistro tucked in on the corner. All high top tables in a very laid-back atmosphere. Amanda was a great hostess/waitress. The food was exactly like all of the yelp reviewers pictured and promised. I had the tuna bombs and my friend had the brussels sprouts and beef tips. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to enjoy some of the other great menu items. The bathrooms are a hilarious throw back to the 80s - don't miss them Go early if you want to belly up to the bar or table. I didn't catch the chefs name, but he has mastered the upscale bar/bistro culinary creations. My tip my hat to you.

Beef tips and Brussels sprouts - awesome!

Way too pricey. Good food and service but is out of the range for the reasonable cost of my usual, just-as-good places.

    Does Split have outdoor seating?

Tommy, I don't believe that Split has outdoor seating. I have been there many times, in fact, a good friend, of mine, owns the restaurant.

It sits off the main drag, the kind of bar you notice only after you've driven past it a dozen times. But step inside, and you'll realize it's one of those rare places that still knows what a bar is supposed to be. The lights are low, the air is easy, and the bar top -- polished smooth from years of elbows and stories -- gleams under the amber bulbs. The bartender greets you like an old friend, even if you've never been here before. He keeps a clean bar, tight and organized, every glass shining like it's got a reputation to uphold. People don't come to KJ Brewskies for the food. Sure, there's something hot and fried if you need it, but this isn't a place for plating or pretense. You come here for the people, the atmosphere, the simple comfort of a cold beer that doesn't cost you half a paycheck. The jukebox doesn't take quarters anymore -- progress, I suppose -- but the music's still good. Old country. Classic rock. Songs that sound better when they're a little too loud. Over in the corner, someone's lining up a pool shot. Darts whistle through the air. Shuffleboard pucks slide and kiss the end of the table with a satisfying clack. What makes this place special, though, is how it shifts with the seasons. When the weather turns warm, they throw open the doors and roll out the crawfish pots. It's all elbows, laughter, and the unmistakable smell of spice and beer in the air. Fall might bring a chili cook-off, winter maybe a small charity drive -- each one another excuse for the regulars and newcomers alike to gather, eat, drink, and remember what community feels like. KJ Brewskies isn't trying to be anything more than what it is. It's a good bar -- honest, lived-in, alive. A place to forget the headlines, to talk about nothing important, to exist for a few hours without explanation. Places like this are getting harder to find. And maybe that's why, when you walk out into the night -- the jukebox still humming behind you -- you already know you'll be back.

They have a jukebox when there isn't karaoke running 4 nights a week. It's actually pretty big for a dive, with a huge seating area in the front, as well as the back. They offer two stages; one in the main part of the bar, and the other outside where you may also smoke. Although they don't use them much because they don't have live music often "which I think is a bummer." On a positive note they are still the cheapest place in town. Here you are still able to get a bottle of beer for under $2.50

LOUD AF on a Tuesday night with incredibly slow service…read more I like to eat in local places while we're on the road. Read about this place being historic with a beautiful bar and lovely tin ceiling. And that is all true. Walked in and could not believe how loud the single singer with an acoustic guitar was. There was a sound engineer, working a board, so he must've thought that level was OK. But you could not have a conversation at all. I was wishing for earplugs. When we first stepped in, I considered just looking at the carved mahogany bar and going somewhere else. But, we figured it should be fast and we could endure the cacophony for a short time. We were so wrong about it being fast. There was only one wait staff working that night, and she was also behind the bar. When she finally moseys over to us, she admitted she had forgotten all about us. She then took our drink order, and the drinks came quickly. But then she literally never came back to take a food order. Watched her go to all the other tables, watched her clean off the bar, watched her answer a phone call for a takeout order, and then I finally went up to the bar and asked her if we could put in a food order. Once the food was ordered it came out quickly. My husband's smashburger and candied pecan salad were both really delicious. I am a sucker for a local food item whenever I see it on the menu, and I made the mistake of ordering the cashew chicken poutine. The cashew sauce had zero flavor and was just overly salty. The chicken was fried very tough. At least the cheese curds were good. But I barely ate any of it. Nothing but regret about this choice.
