One word to describe the restaurant "Yummy" all the dishes that I tried were delicious, all of them were flavorful. The mood of the restaurant was pleasant full and romantic. Well done guys!!!!

Thai coffee - way too sweet
Teresa L.

We ordered several things including: thai tea & thai coffee (both were incredibly too sweet), the phad thai was sweet as well and they used ketchup vs the tradional tamarind, the larb gai was pretty tasty, the pineapple fried rice was fine and the panang curry was alright. The portions were smaller than most thai places. Overall, id give this place 3 stars - it wasnt bad but not memorable either. Most likely, we wouldnt go back since there are other Thai places that are more authentic.

A mess!

Ordered delivery through Door Dash and it came like this. Missing an item too! Had to throw away since we didn't trust how it was delivered. Tried to reorder and they refused to remake. Canceled the order.

Potsticker

My friend and I came here for dinner this past week and it was great! The ambiance was very inviting and spa-like. The food was incredible! We ordered potstickers, orange chicken, chicken fried rice, and chicken pad Thai. The orange chicken was most definitely the best I've ever had!

So excited to have found this restaurant! I can't believe I live a few blocks away and have never dined here before. To be honest, I always drive by it so it never noticed the existing of it. Fantastic food with sweet owners. PROS: Ambiance/location: Located on MLK, a block from Alaska street. Lots of street parking nearby. Decoration is modern but simple. Everything was very clean. The Dim lights sets off a very relaxing atmosphere. Service: Amazing! The owners were very friendly, formative and beyond sweet. The were also very attentive. Price: Decent prices ranging from $8-$10 per dish. Food: Overall, fantastic food. We ordered Thai iced tea, chicken pad Thai, beef pad see ew, chicken panang curry, beef and broccoli and shrimp tum yum soup. Everything was spiced 3 stars. The Thai iced tea was very refreshing and sweet. I wish I could have tasted more of the flavors from the tea. The chicken pad thai had an abundance of chicken and the flavors were every distinct. Very good. Make sure you mix the bean sprouts and peanuts with the noodles for a nice crunch. The curry was creamy, spicy and wonderful. It always goes good over jasmine rice. The beef and broccoli were cooked perfectly. The broccoli wasn't overlooked so it had a nice crunch to it. Tons of garlic flavor. The tum yum soup was my favorite. Spicy, tangy and a little sweet. Every sip was delicious. My husband stated that it was one of the best he's ever had. CONS: The beef pad see ew was a little on the dry side. I didn't taste much soy sauce on the noodles. I usually order 3 stars at other Thai restaurants and I could usually handle it. However, the 3 stars at this restaurant was very spicy. I will probably go down to 2 stars next time. None the less, I found my new Thai restaurant. Instead of driving to the Tukwila or Bellevue Bai Tong, now I can walk to get Thai food!

I still continue to search for the best Thai food and I wanted to give this place a try. We were the first ones there for lunch and noticed that it was a bit warm by the windows facing the sun (even on a cool day like today), so we sat at the table furthest away and it was far more comfortable. We were handed the regular menu and the lunch menu as well and were told we could order off either and that they were serving lunch and dinner currently. For an appetizer we chose the Yum Shrimp. I liked that the shrimp were big and there were enough for two people! The taste was good but it was a bit too sweet for me. A little prik namplah helped. 4/5 We ordered the Pad See Ew lunch special with pork and the Holy Basil lunch combo with chicken as the main meals. The Lunch Combo comes with a side of Pad Thai. The Pad See Ew was great and the main reason was because of the noodles! They used the very wide noodles and they were cooked to perfection. They had a nice texture and were seasoned well. I wish the portion was a bit larger because it was so good. 5/5 The Holy Basil with chicken was served with a side of Pad Thai. Two of us tasted the pad Thai and it was very sweet. We kept tasting it until we realized you can taste something similar to (or actually) ketchup. I did not like the side of Pad Thai at all. There was also a side of rice and some cabbage. There was a very mild taste to this dish and was sort of lacking in flavor. 3/5 We asked for a spice tray and the server brought the spice tray and the prik namplah was practically empty. This was the condiment we both wanted to add to our food! I felt the portions could have used a little more food. Service was good and our water glasses were filled several times. I will go back and try more food and hopefully get the rating up a star or two! :D

Spicy Crispy Fish. 3 words: To Die For! I adore everything about this place. The location, atmosphere, service, food.. Perfect!

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Oh, did I mention Chandala is amazing?!? The best Thai place around, in my opinion. Especially the Crispy Spicy Fish (if you like coconut based curry dishes and fish, that is) is absolutely To. Die. For. The owner is very friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like family. The place itself is clean, aesthetically pleasing, ample space to move about, wheelchair accessible (BIG UPS FOR THAT!). Most definitely will be my Go-To Thai.

This review is based on the 4 times I've been here. Tried 5 different dishes. (Pad kee Mao, pad see ew, beef salad, garlic squid, chandala fried rice). All dished were very flavorful and came in generous portions. The consistency of their spice levels are very off. The 1st time I ordered 3* it was on point. 2nd time I ordered 3*, it tasted like 1*. 3rd time I order 3*, it made me tear up. Must've been 5* because it was freakin HOT. For that, I took 1* off. The other star is for the small menu. It is very small compared to other places. There were no special dishes unique to Chandala. I know the menu is still a work in progress so I will change my review accordingly. @Chandala: Please add Nuea yang to the menu :)

Shrimp Tom yum. Very savory, with a slight hint of curry.

OK overall. They have a pretty affordable lunch special. I had the pad thai. It's the Americanized version - it's heavy, and has ketchup.

Noi Thai Cuisine is where my Thai best friend and I go whenever she is in town! It is one of the…read morebest Thai restaurants in Seattle and is certified as Thai Select which certifies its Thai authenticity. They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

When entering they had a live keyboardist and singer playing Valerie which I was a fan of. We stopped in at 10pm on a week night and were sat right away and service was prompt and friendly. We chose fried calamari for an appetizer which was super delicious. My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. We enjoyed the appetizer thoroughly and I would say it was my favorite part of the meal. My man ordered his favorite Thai dish Panang chicken Curry spice level 1. He said his meal was delicious but big portion so we both took to go our leftovers. I tried the curry and it was super tasty. I ordered my go to prawns Pad Thai and chose spice level 3. The Pad Thai was delicious and large portion but level 3 was not spicy at all so if you love spicy like me choose above level 3. Not the best Pad Thai I've ever had being honest but still yummy especially for late night. Definitely a great late night choice with large portions!

My friend and I walked in at 9:20 (~40 mins before closing) and got a seat at the bar. They have happy hour from 9pm-close so we ordered the curry from the happy hour menu ($10), kra pao with an egg (~$20), and drinks (lychee martini $9, Thai-Tini $9). Such a great deal!! My favorite thing had to be the yellow curry, it was so creamy and had a nice kick. The kra pao was also very good, we picked spice 2 which was pretty hot but manageable. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance, we got pretty lucky to get a walk in spot but the place was totally filled. A nice place for an upscale meal with a friend or a date!

Vibe - When I walked in, it felt like I was in a nighttime district on the streets of Thailand, eating and drinking whatever they had available. The vibe was that of a dark ambiance, with neon lights shining throughout the restaurant. Hospitality - The front-of-house staff was well-mannered and courteous, and they seated us quickly on a Monday night at 8:00 PM. It was a relatively busy night. However, we ordered fairly quickly, and the food came out within 10 to 15 minutes. Food - Food-wise, we ordered the Fried Papaya, Crispy Fried Rice, Khao Soi, Tom Yum, and Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice. Gosh, I have to say, I was blown away by the flavors and the portion sizes! Typically, four dishes can serve three people, but I felt like these could have served five. The fried papaya salad was lightly battered with a typical papaya salad dipping sauce featuring a base of fish sauce, green beans, tomatoes, and chilies. It was good. The crispy fried rice was served with lettuce wraps, and OMG, I kid you not when I tell you this is some of the crispiest rice I've ever had. It's hard to find, but when you do, you can't wait to take another bite. I thought the khao soi overall was not bad. I enjoyed that they put the fried noodles on top so that you can mix them into the curry when it's brought out. Lastly, the pork belly was well-cooked with a crispy, crunchy exterior, and served with delicious Thai-flavored fried rice! Drinks - We ordered the Thai lemon iced tea and the Thai tea cremosa. Both tasted good. Overall, I was very satisfied with this place, and if I lived here, I could see myself grabbing some late-night bites with the homies.
