I had my baby shower here back in late February and couldn't have been happier with the fast and very cordial service, amazing food and perfect setting! Our server, Joe was beyond giving and so courteous not only to me as the momma-to-be, but to my guests as well! So much, that he hugged and kissed all of the women on their way out. We had the party package provided, but previously were told they couldn't offer Pinot Grigio-sure enough, on the day of everyone was enjoying their bottomless glass of it! As a local who's only been there for dinner once before, I fell in love with this restaurant already but now to have had my shower there I really respect and adore it even more. All in all, I will be back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone :) read more

One of the best steakhouses in Bay Ridge. If you don't want the steaks, go for the pasta dishes.

This spot has quickly become my "must have" when I get stuck working in this area. My waiter, Brian, remembered me from my last visit and treated me like a queen when he found out I was celebrating my 9th wedding anniversary on my own. I dont normally order pork chops when i dine out but know that the one that i get here is better than all of the others I'll ever have. Not only is the food delicious, the waiters are old-school professionals who do their job the way they should. Also the prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. I easily eat here on my per diem. read more

Phenomenal food and wonderful service. Started off with a delicious cup of New England clam chowder. Mains included crispy duck in a blueberry sauce with garlic mashed potatoes and carrots which was cooked to perfection and organic roasted chicken with garlic mashed. The blueberry sauce was something I've never had before and complimented the duck and potatoes very nicely! To finish we had the warm apple tart pastry with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream, which was heavenly! Joe at the front was so sweet and made us feel so at home and our waiter was super friendly too. His recommendations were spot on. Where should I start !!! Chadwick's is a not only a neighbor hood favorite but one of my favorites and go to restaurants in Bay Ridge. I have been dinning at Chadwick since I was a little boy with my grandparents, and find myself opening those big white country doors to eat when we want to get a great meal while feeling at home. Went to a retirement party for a friend here. It was 10 people and we ordered off the dinner menu. Service was excellent, the waiter was knowledgeable and had a great attitude. It was Saturday and it was a full house. I ordered the ribeye steak special. I was 22 ounces, It was cooked to my liking. It came with crispy potatoes, very tasty! This place was great! I went here yesterday and the food was delicious. I had the linguini with clams and garlic and lemon sauce. It was really good! Then for dessert I had the raspberry sorbet. Was excited to check out this brooklyn classic. The photos on Yelp make the dining room look a little more upscale than it is inside. More of a diner feel inside the dining room. Booth was very old and had no support. Dining room was packed when we arrived. Delicious Caesar salad. Only 3 shrimp in the shrimp cocktail for $21 -- could round out with one more shrimp not to be so meager. My filet mignon that I order medium rare arrived basically raw inside and it took about 15-20 minutes or so while my husband ate and I waited for my meal. I just called to buy a gift card for my aunt who has been going to the restaurant for the past 80 years as a present for Christmas. I was told that they were busy and the person who answered the phone didn't handle gift cards and to call back on Monday when management was around. We'd been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile, and we finally went there yesterday - for a late lunch - with our Bay Ridge friends (they'd never been there before, either). Chadwick's definitely lived up to its good reputation, as we were all very pleased with every aspect. They have a great deal for lunch specials, for just $18.95 (with limited choices, but no matter): a cup of soup, a small salad, an entrée, dessert, and coffee or tea. I had the ravioli with spinach & ricotta - and my husband had the rigatoni with grilled chicken, mushrooms & asparagus. We both had the lobster bisque, but he had the chocolate mousse for dessert and I had the rice pudding. Everything tasted really good and even the coffee was good (I mention that because I usually find restaurant coffee to be very mediocre). The servers were *terrific*; very pleasant and attentive. The interior of the restaurant is attractive and there are large windows looking out on the street. The restroom was spotless. Parking in that area is a *big* problem, so you need to allow plenty of time. We arrived shortly after 1:00 p.m., and we were amazed to discover it was already 3:00 p.m. when we left. For years and years I have drove, walked and skated by Chadwicks never once stopping in for food or drinks. Why? I have no clue but boy am I kicking myself in the booty for it now. As my friend and I were strolling around the neighborhood hungry we passed by Chadwicks. It dawned on me that this place must have been open for so many years for a reason. So finally we gave it a try. When the server read me the specials my face lit up. They had beef wellington. My god how I love beef wellington. Unfortunately it's so hard to find because it's such an old school dish. So I ordered it. It was amazing as well as their crab cake appetizer. Friends birthday celebrated here! We were all craving for some steaks house and decided to try it out here but we ended up ordering else things. We ordered the salmon, turkey(specials that day) and another type of fish. Keep in mind the food portion is big. We were all not able to finish our plates with one appetizers ordered before hand. Food was beyond my expectation and was delicious. Our staff made sure we got way we needed and ended the night perfectly with 3 deserts to share and one with a candle lid for my friend. My mom and I both love good steak so for my birthday we decided to try Chadwick's. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. We didn't feel welcome or comfortable at all. My mom, who is handicapped, needs more space between tables to sit down on the inside bench. The waiter did nothing to help me pull out the table or make us feel comfortable. We waited 45 minutes after placing our order for our steaks to arrive. I ordered my T-bone steak medium and it arrived charred on the outside and well done/dry inside. When I brought it to the waiter's attention he argued with me saying it was medium then finally said he'd bring me another steak but it would take another 20 minutes. I was starving at that point and didn't want to wait so I declined. We also told the waiter it was my birthday but he never asked if we'd like to order dessert or bring a slice of bday cake. The staff sang happy birthday to another patron earlier that evening so it was clear they do this kind of thing. I left feeling like a special day was marred by poor service. I do not recommend this restaurant and certainly won't be returning myself. read more

We went here for dinner, indoor dining has a very romantic and calm vibe. Outdoor dining is available right outside, especially when the weather is nice, it's good to sit outside. The food is pricey but the quality is definitely worth it. They don't have have a set drinks menu. But they have almost everything at the bar, you just gotta let them know what you want and they'll make it. Service was good, the fish was grilled perfectly, the skin was super crispy and it was definitely our fav. The grill octopus was well grilled but was a little too hard. As for the linguini and clam it was so perfect. The steak came out good but was a little too well done for what we asked for but overall the whole experience was good. read more

I feel like this place gets overlooked, but it's one of my favorite places to have dinner! My husband and I have tried almost everything on the menu and can't even tell you which meal is our favorite because they're all good. Filet mignon is bomb, they have this Berkshire pork chop that is so filling and a burger that's on another level. Give this place a try, it's totally worth it. Fine dining in Bay Ridge! My wife and I love coming here, the pandemic stopped us for a while but we have since started going out again. I was disappointed when I heard that they no longer served Beef Wellington but last night Brian informed me of a new dish they created, short rib Wellington and it was great! Chadwicks is a classic steakhouse in the heart of Bay Ridge. I cant believe I hadn't come here sooner but Im glad I did. We started out with some drinks at the bar. The drinks were super strong which is always a plus. My friends wanted to go all out so we all ordered steaks. I ordered the filet mignon topped with blue cheese served mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was delicious and the blue cheese was the perfect additive for the palate!!! My friends ordered the 48oz t-bone and the rib eye. All of the steaks were superb. My dish also had a type of bacon & cheese mixture which was superb. The steaks were massive I really cant say enough great things about the food. The service was stellar, our waiter was friendly, knowledgable and attentive. The decor is older but that is to be expected of a classic steakhouse. Overall this was a great experience. I'm surprised this restaurant has such high reviews. I came here based on the reviews, sigh --Yelp, you've failed me. Boyfriend & I ordered Porterhouse steak for 2, scallop appetizer, and fries. The steak came out bland, fries were limpy and underseasoned, and scallop was just okay but probably the highlight of the meal (SAD). For the price, I expected Peter Luger or Del Frisco quality steaks. Probably will never come again. read more

Attended a bridal shower here and the food was delicious. First, we had bruschetta, pasta and side salad for appetizer. It was good and believe or not, I was getting kind full with just appetizers. For entrée, I had salmon with seasoned vegetables and potatoes. The salmon was a large nice size piece and seasoned perfectly and they drizzled some dressing (didn't catch the name when the waiter mentioned). The meal was greatly paired with their red sangria. I was a little disappointed that they didn't serve white sangria, which most restaurants do. The place is small. I guess the bathroom door surprising passed restaurant standard for NYC business.
