Came here on a Wednesday afternoon with maybe 5 other people in the store BUT they just so happened to be doing some kind of photoshoot and social media promotion thing. I had to wait a long time because they were so busy making drinks for a photoshoot or something. I hope the service isn't like this everyday, but I'm assuming it was like this because of the photoshoot/ interview they were doing. I would give 2 stars for service for that day, but the drink itself was a 5/5! I got a black sesame mountain which I believe is part of their seasonal menu. It's one of the best black sesame drinks I've tried (and I've tried many as a lover of black sesame) but next time I'll have to go when they're *not* so busy with something else. The place itself was clean but the chairs are a bit uncomfortable and there's no restroom in the store. You'd have to use the mall restroom but it isn't too far. This place finally opened!!! I've been waiting since 2022 and it's FINALLY HERE!! There are only two tea shops that I love in LA and this is one of them. Cha Redefine def redefined my expectations on tea. After drinking their green tea, I can never go back to normal green tea from other boba shops. I usually get their tea based drinks and none of them have ever disappointed me. Their green tea has such a rich and refreshing flavor and a hint of floral aroma. Super refreshing in the summer. If you want more heavy on floral aroma then I recommend their Osmanthus oolong cha! The smell is so heavenly like you're frolicking in flowers. Their price is very reasonable costing around $4-6 depending which ones you get. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

(Sheep mentality ) I got the blueberry oat milk matcha and this little thing was $8. It was so expensive for a cup that wasn't even that big. There also isnt an option to get no ice and everything just felt like they were trying to rip me off. However, the matcha quality is very high and everything they used was very high quality. I wouldn't say it was worth it price tag but the matcha was flavorful and blended well with the blueberry oat milk. read more

The store was clean and there is ample seating areas inside. Service was pretty good despite it being very busy. The staff seemed to be efficient and got orders out quite quickly. I love the menu because they have differentiated themselves out from the other boba shops. There are so many unique drink options and combos - various teas, lattes, matcha options, taro options, Coffee combos, and fruit tea drinks. I tried their Sri Lanka Ceylon Latte with minimal sugar (they use honey as the sweetener for this drink). The tea was good, not super strong or light, not too sweet, and the fresh roasted pecans caramelized with sugar added a wonderful nutty crunch to and otherwise smooth and milky drink. Avocado Coffee Latte - wow, this drink is mind-blowing. They use real avocado for the smoothie part, then infuse it with real strong coffee. It sounds like a weird combo, but the taste is magical to the tastebuds. I also tried the Taro tornado, which contained fresh taro on the bottom, black milk tea as the main drink, topped off with taro foam. You get a perfect combo of milk tea with taro infused flavor with each sip. A+ for their use of real ingredients - freshly brewed tea, coffee, and real milk, not the unhealthy powdered creamer. This boba spot is conveniently located in the Promenade (outside portion of Santa Anita Mall). It is pretty small with only a few seats and tables inside. I got their Matcha Tornado (50% sweet) which is ceremonial matcha blended with their handmade taro and coconut milk. It was very delicious and creamy without being too sweet. There usually is a pretty long line and it takes awhile (~15-20 minutes) to get your drink. Expect to pay $7+, which is a bit pricey but worth it! I can tell they use high quality matcha and their taro is fresh and not artificial flavoring. Definitely recommend! read more

This is not your typical boba shop, this is CHA- redefined! I'm so glad we have a quality tea spot in the promenade in the Santa Anita Mall! My friends and I tried the soft serves on top of the creative drinks here last Saturday before we went shopping, and I am so impressed! The shop is clean, modern, and the line never stops (really lit vibes all day). The service was attentive and efficient. Let's talk about flavors! The soft serve is soo good! Usually, matcha is just matcha and overpriced. But here, the soft serve is reasonable priced & the matcha flavor really shines and the flavor intensifies. The Sri Lanka Ceylon flavor was my favorite, and the pecan on top is the perfect combo for texture. You also get the option of both swirled together, which was ! I got the seasonal menu drink: black sesame mountain and the roasted black sesame taste was unapologetically strong, which I LOVE! This place was quite busy when I went on new years day recently. But the line moved pretty fast. My friends raved about this place and recommended the sri lanka latte with pecans, which I got with 25% sugar and less ice. It's really nice with the pecans and is the perfect sweetness. It also is on par with boba I've had in Taiwan! I didn't get the soft serve but I'm definitely trying it next time. I ordered the hot blueberry oat matcha latte at regular sweetness. It tastes exactly like a blueberry granola bar. It was a tasty drink but it was predominately the blueberry and oat flavor. Regular sweetness is just right, not too sweet. I'm taking another star off due to service. Everyone that ordered left way before me and I even hear 2 numbers after me got called and I was still waiting for my drink. My one drink took 20 minutes. This is located up on the Promenade at the Santa Anita Mall. I've come a few times because my friends love Cha Redefine, but sadly it's been a miss for me. You may have to wait a while for drinks because they always seem busy, at least every time that I've went. I've ordered tea and coffee drinks and each time has been just okay. The tea isn't strong enough for me, and the coffee drinks also don't taste quite right. For the same price, I would probably rather go to a specialized coffee store. I've also tried their cream foam top and it was sadly a miss, with a slightly plastic taste. On a more positive note, I like the interior of the store! This boba shop isn't your typical place. When they decided to name their boba shop Cha Refined it must've been ambitious but they definitely lived up to the name and redefined tea. Their drinks were definitely unique. We got the Sri Lanka Milk Tea with boba and the Matcha Tornado. Both were 300 calories each which was so low for boba. The Matcha Tornado was perfect and had a strong matcha flavor, paired with the taro it was the perfect combination of harmony in my mouth. The Sri Lanka Milk Tea was the perfect touch of creaminess and the boba was soft and chewy. This is the perfect pick me up after a long week. The ambiance was also perfect. I have been waiting for this tea spot to open up at Santa Anita and it was worth the wait! I loveee the interior of the shop and I could smell the tea from a few stores away! The scent was amazing, we had to figure out what drink it was. Would love to take a break here from walking around the mall or grab a drink and chat with friends after a meal at the mall too! They were pretty busy for a early Friday afternoon. The cashier politely asked us to wait since they were super busy and that was perfectly okay! Super nice staff though! Easy to read menu, with pictures. Ordered two regular sized drinks - the blueberry matcha oatmilk latte and the refreshing peach oolong tea. Ice & sweetness level can be adjusted + add-on toppings! So going back to that wonderful tea smell was, we figured it was probably peach and oolong so we wanted to try the simplest version of it which was the refreshing peach oolong tea. There was another menu item with the same drink and addition of cheese foam. We hit the nail on the head with matching the smell with the drink and this one did nottt disappoint! Love the fresh fruity peachy taste, not too sweet and the tea flavor was brought out. With the blueberry matcha latte it contains oatmilk and it was delicious! Kind of reminded me of a blueberry oatmeal bar. The matcha is a bit subtle but I can taste the earthy-matcha tea bitterness (a good bitter) which helped balance the drink out! Yelp review My sister was super excited to try this new boba spot since she heard many great things from the Pasadena location. We ordered the fruit tea (strawberry). Although the menu said multiple fruits, you can only choose one. My sister said she wanted no sugar on hers but the cashier told us it was gonna be really "bad and bitter." So she told her very VERY little sugar because she's pre-diabetic. I also got less sweet because the cashier said regular sweet is "not sweet at all." I typically get like 50% sweet. However when we got our drinks it was SO sweet and we didn't taste much tea. My sister had to get her drink remade and she said it was still sweet. My sister's fiancé got some type of latte and it was so sweet he threw it away after 2 sips. I'm not sure if all the drinks are just on the sweeter side than other boba places, but all 3 of our drinks were pretty much a bust. Other than the drinks, the service and drinks came out pretty fast. There are a couple of tables and seats inside to sit and chat and the establishment looks pretty clean. Would I come back? I am so glad and lucky I was able to take advantage of the grand opening deals since they have so many unique options that I normally wouldn't try. The first weekend was 20% off and the next weekend was buy one get one. My favorite drinks would be the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte and the Osmanthus Oolong Avocado Cream Foam Cha both at 50% sweetness. I haven't anything that tasted like the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte before. It's different in a subtle and good way. I know my go to is jasmine green milk tea and am picky with milk tea (black tea base). I was also pleasantly impressed with the honey glazed pecans bits that are sprinkled at the top that I almost accidentally threw away before trying it. The Osmanthus Oolong tea it's self was very good and didn't taste like other shops that I have ever been to. The avocado foam had a light flavor and sweetness that still complimented the tea. All my friends thought the Coco Avocado was one of their favorite go to drinks. Although I thought it was good, I am so happy there is an avocado foam option for the tea drinks since I need that caffeine! Another drink I liked was the Fresh Orange Green Tea with Avocado foam at 50% sweetness. It was so satisfying since I was looking for something refreshing and it did taste like fresh squeezed orange juice was used! I can't wait to try their Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Soft Serve Ice Cream and more of the unique drinks. I had already brought and recommended a bunch of friends to try the place. I would say the line moves pretty efficiently compared to other places but many apologies to the people behind us as we had large orders. The store is chic and contemporary, with limited seating inside. The menu is a little hard to read on the monitor (probably my poor eyesight). Cashier girl was overwhelmed (she was trying her best) but was able to get me 1 of 2 drinks before telling me the next one was coming and returning to tend the line. Waited another 5 minutes before the another girl came from the back with a crap look on her face, earphones in, and put 3 drinks out. I asked if there was an order under my name, and before I finished talking she just gave me a side eye and walked off. A couple minutes later, she came back to the area and set 2 more cups down before walking off. I didn't even know one was my drink until I picked it up and read the name. Other drinks got sleeves, straws, a called name or number. I got a terrible attitude and a mediocre drink. For over 25 minutes of waiting. Never coming here again. read more

I get really excited to try new boba and coffee shops and so when I saw this shop at the Arcadia Westfield I knew we had to try it. We were really lucky that the line was manageable when we ordered although it will still take 15 mins to get your drink. I got the chappucino with peach oolong. The flavor was a bit light. My mom and I both prefer a deeper oolong tea flavor for our teas. Glad we tried it but wouldn't stay in a 15 minute line for it. read more

I really enjoyed the matcha tornado with boba and hubby enjoyed the mango mango drink. Flavors were great! Glad we have this option here at Santa Anita Mall, I do believe it to be better than the other boba options offered here. Boba was also soft and chewy. This will be my boba spot of choice anytime I find myself at the mall. Drinks may come out a little slow, so if it's super busy I prob would wait to come back when there is less of a line. I had to try Cha Redefine because of the hype. I liked the vibe inside the shop - super modern and clean with some tables to sit at. The line can get super long on the weekends. Service was mediocre... the person who took my order was in a rush and was hesitant to answer simple questions. My family ordered the Dirty Avocado, Matcha Tornado, and the Taro Tornado. All three of these drinks had a smoothie consistency which was super creamy and fresh. The Dirty Avocado was good, but came with a shot of espresso which kind of overpowered the avocado. After mixing the espresso in, the flavors complement each other better. I would probably request to leave out the espressos shot if I were to order this drink again. As for the Matcha Tornado, I did like matcha flavor itself, but unfortunately it was overpowered by the taro paste. Made me feel like it was more of a taro drink instead of matcha. The Taro Tornado was the drink that I felt was most satisfyingly expected with perfect Taro flavor. Big plus for the creativity of the ingredient combinations and the unique menu items. This is now one of my top 5 places to get boba or tea drinks!!! Such good quality drinks here and very different from your typical boba shop. The tea is high quality and you can tell by the taste for sure. They also have soft serve and this you need to get for sure, they had Matcha and Sri Lanka and you need to get the swirl, they just compliment each other so nicely. I got a taro taro drink because I can't have caffeine after 3pm. It was refreshing, tasty, and "not too sweet". It was a perfect drink to catch up with my friend while she enjoyed her foam cha with candied pecan. The menu looks great. I think when Cha Redefine first opened, the wait time was really long & not worth it; however, it seems to be A LOT better now. Definitely overhyped in my opinion, Drinks: The blueberry matcha tasted very sugary and the matcha taste was hardly there. 5/10 The vanilla foam matcha was delicious it was thick smooth and it was my first time trying matcha and all i tasted was sweet foam with a tiny hint of a herb taste. Im not sure if matcha is supposed to taste like that but I enjoyed it. Service: Quick service, the employees seem busy most of the time. Not the most friendliest service but it wasn't bad either. They do not have a self serve kiosk which is fine. Perfect to cool off or as a refresher at any time of the day. I love the wide array of unique drinks Cha Redefine offers- I've been here a few times now and was able to get their Matcha Latte, Blueberry Matcha Latte, and Taro Tornado, all of which were spectacular. I would highly recommend their matcha- If you're there for the first time, try the original matcha without the blueberry, it tends to mask the real match flavor. The inside is clean, chic, and aesthetic- not plain. It certainly has a character to it, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I would keep in mind though that their lines are most of the time, long. Out of the 9-10 times I've been there, they've consistently had a line, sometimes out the door. Their service time is average- in these long lines, ~7 minutes is normal. I would highly recommend stopping by Cha Redefine. It's also located in a convenient spot in the mall to access parking: Once you enter the mall, park at their indoor structure (entrances by Macy's and Nordstrom), and try to get parking near the Nordstrom side, where you will see an escalator. My first time visiting the Arcadia location of Cha Redefine did not disappoint! The osmanthus cream foam cha was amazing - the floral, fragrant taste of the osmanthus tea paired so well with the vanilla foam. I ordered my drink at 25% sugar and found it to be the perfect amount of sweetness for my taste. The turtle cups here are also so cute! Overall, I was very impressed by the quality of my drink.
