I have been a patient here for 5 years and counting and love it. I see Dr. Mastores and she is so sweet. This place is amazing and I have referred several friends. Everyone here, including the employees at the front desk are so genuinely nice, professional, and helpful. I really couldn't ask for more because the customer service is excellent and I've never had any issues. They really care about their customers. I had to bring my 2.5 year old daughter to my appointment and the eye technician I had - Jennifer - was so accommodating to her, which I really appreciated. read more

Everyone here was super friendly and helpful! I can't comment on price very well because this is the first optometrist I've been to since moving to the US but it seemed reasonable to me. I have to say that they did not seem salesy to me at all, as some other people experienced. In fact, when I asked advice about switching contact lenses to a different brand someone had recommended to me, I was advised against it as what I have is better anyway, and it'd save me money on having to update my contacts prescription when I don't need it and it's not covered by my insurance. Ben and Jen were very thorough with their examination and explained everything in detail. All in all I had a very good experience here. read more

I live overseas and had less than a week in Phoenix. Many offices told me that a consultation and creation of the glasses was impossible to do - especially given that it was over the Christmas holiday weekend. The standard service at CPEC in itself is deserving of 4 stars, but what makes this practice truly stand out is their willingness to accommodate patients' needs. Dr. Kantor and his friendly, well organized staff went out of their way to schedule me for an early morning appointment and then asked the lab to rush the glasses. read more

My first experience here. Was so busy. But the doctor was great and staff was friendly. Took me as a last minute client. Will be back.

What a great experience my husband and I had at this office. Very thorough exam by Dr. Mastores and her team of professionals. One of the best exams I've ever received and I've been wearing glasses/contacts for a very long time. Can't say enough good things about everyone there! I would very highly recommend them. read more

I have so many positive things to say about this practice, I don't know where to start! First, as a first-time contact lens wearer, it took so many lens trials to get my prescription right. Perhaps upwards of 8 or 10 over the course of 4 - 5 months! At each visit, Dr. Mastores greeted me in her friendly manner and assured me that this is normal, determined to help find the perfect Rx. We finally got it and I couldn't be happier. It needs to be mentioned that Dr. Mastores never charged me for these followup lens trial visits, and each time my Rx changed, I was able to return the unused contacts and receive credit for contacts in the correct Rx. The staff is completely professional and never treated me like a nuisance, even though I felt like I was! I am a doctor myself and have never been to such a friendly and relaxed doctor. Dr. Mastores clearly loves what she does and it is such a pleasure to be treated by her. She is the kind of person you want to hang out with all day. Second, in the meantime, my glasses Rx changed! The practice has an amazing policy for refractive changes and I was able to get my lenses corrected without any fuss. Incredible. Third, they have an annual sale where designer frames are 50% off! That's right, even Ray Bans! I love, love love their frame selection and their opticians are so friendly and knowledgeable, no matter whom you speak with. Finally, and this is embarrassing, I scratched my eye on New Years eve and didn't know what to do. I called the after hours line and Dr. Frank called me back immediately. He was incredibly reassuring and helpful, and stated that if my symptoms didn't improve in 12 hours, he would meet me at the office on New Years Day. It ended up being nothing, but just being able to reach someone so quickly on a holiday was outstanding. So, in case it's not obvious, this is the best optometry practice to go to in Phoenix. I recommend them to everyone! read more

Excellent service , great at answering questions and everyone has a big smile on their face! Great selection of lenses to choose from.

This was my second time visiting Central Phoenix Eye Care, and I have to say that truly, everyone at this office is wonderful. The front office staff are sweet, efficient and take care of all insurance queries quickly. The back office staff are pleasantly conversant while taking care of all their duties in a way that is quick but thorough and Dr. Mastores who I saw is just an absolute peach. She is personable, intelligent and listens well! Even when it came down to picking new frames and ordering new contacts, all the financials were covered prior so as to help me if I needed to budget insurance coverage. Would HIGHLY recommend! read more

I visited Central Phoenix Eye Care for the first time this week and was very impressed. I received a thorough exam, got helpful information about steps to take to reduce the possibility of macular degeneration as I grow older, and was fitted with trial contact lenses that are working out well. Dr. Mastores is wonderful. Highly recommend Central Phoenix Eye Care.

For 26 years I had a crooked left eye. I went to countless eye Dr.'s, stating my one goal was to have it straightened out. It took me 22 years to find a Dr. That listened to me and helped me achieve my goals. Dr. Stephanie Mastores is amazing. I will continue to go to this business for the rest of my time in AZ. The entire staff is amazing as well. I'm not always the easiest person to deal with and am very picky but Amber is consistently patient, and kind to me. She listened to what I was saying and again fixed the problem I was having with a different eye Dr.. AMAZING PLACE !! I will never stray from going here even when my insurance doesn't cover. There prices I have found are much cheaper anyway. read more

Forget America's Best (actually worst) and go here instead! This optometry shop is what all businesses should be, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. Plus, this place ended up being less expensive than the so-called discount optical chains. They even repaired a pair of glasses for free that I hadn't even purchased from them. read more

I have been going here for many years. Office hours are great, and everyone I have ever dealt with in the office is just super nice and helpful. Dr. Frank does a thorough eye exam and explains everything so you really understand the tests and any concerns. They are always updating their equipment. I feel like my eyes are in very good care here! Don't hesitate to try them out. You will not be dissapointed. read more

Great staff and very knowledgeable doctors. They took care of me even when I was being difficult with trying to figure out what prescription strength works best for me. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but are worth it (very high quality). Would be nice for them to have extended hours during the week - but otherwise they are fantastic! read more

I'm a new patient but have been treated from the beginning like a long valued client. Everyone on staff that I have met have been outgoing and friendly. I am 65 with a history of eye surgeries making me a real challenge to correct my near and far vision whether for contacts or glasses. Dr. Mastores enthusiastically took up the challenge to fit me with multi-focus RGP contacts saying she would not give up until we'd succeeded. We are still working through the process but I have every reason to believe that she'll get us there. Over the years I have worked with many excellent eye care professionals but I have never worked with any whom I would recommend over Dr. Mastores and Central Phoenix Eye Care. read more

I really liked this place. I was concerned that they would try to push a prescription on me when I went for a diabetic purposes, but they didn't. They were honest about not needing a to buy a pair of glasses until I felt it was necessary. read more

I went here after getting 2 sets of glasses from West Valley Vision that were unacceptable, i.e. disorienting to the point that upon putting them on, I felt I might either fall off the chair or woof my cookies. Came to CP Eye Care upon recommendation of a friend. Dr Frank was very thorough with exam and optician Susan Kantor was wonderful in helping with frames. The glasses helped my vision dramatically with the added plus of receiving many compliments on the frames. read more

Beyond wonderful experience here! Came to town in a bind and they squeezed me and went ABOVE & BEYOND to accommodate (on a Saturday, no less). Amber may be one of the most genuinely caring and intelligent leaders in the front office. She was innovative and sensational to work. I am really, really glad I found this optometrist. First off the staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the office is nice and clean. I had no issues waiting for my eye exam, I was way overdue to see the optometrist and Dr. Usleman took his time getting me a thorough exam, while also getting me out in decent time. He also spent a good amount of time answering questions I had about my prescriptions, ocular health, and options for contacts and lenses. He offered both personal and professional advice to help me choose how to move forward. The check out process was a breeze as well. When I returned to select frames, I had another wonderful experience. They have a really nice selection of high quality frames suitable to a variety of styles, and variety of budgets. I found exactly what I was looking for. I walked in expecting to pay $300 out of pocket when all said and done (as has been my experience in mass eyeglass retailers), and I walked out with the perfect glasses, the perfect lenses, with prevencia, lens and frame warranty all for about $100 bucks. I can't wait until they arrive, and I look forward to coming back in the future! read more

Last week end I developed a very concerning problem with one of my eyes. It was the week end so I called the doctor on call. When I called Dr. Mastore's number (the number given on the phone message at the office) not only did she fail to pick up, but her voice mail was full. I could not leave a message. Believe me I called many, many times with no luck. I called the office back and left a message about the problem and received a call from Liz. She said that Dr. Mastores was out of town and stuck in Michigan. But she was on call! You can still answer your phone. I was so worried about my eye and sorry that this Eye Care center was not able to help. I would never recommend this clinic. read more

Just relocated to the Central Phoenix area and had to find a new eye doctor. As I always do, I checked with Yelp and this office got high marks. I saw Dr. Mastores and she was great...very thorough. In fact, it's the best eye exam I've ever had! I was seen immediately and did not have to wait. This is a huge plus in my book. I am very happy I have found a competent eye provider. I always use Yelp to find my doctors, dentists, etc and so far I have not been disappointed. I highly recommend Dr. Mastores and all the staff at Central Phoenix Eye Care. read more

I highly recommend this place. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I had my toddler child along for his first appointment and they were awesome with him. They were patient and let him play with all sorts of their devices to keep him happy. Everything was explained to me in detail regarding both my own vision and my child's. Their frames selection was fantastic for anyone, whether on a budget or wanting a designer brand. I'm so glad I found this clinic in my neighborhood and I plan to stay with them as long as I live in Phoenix. read more

Another fantastic visit and eye exams with Dr. Kantor for my son and I - none better than him (don't let him know I said that). I've been a patient of his since he took over this practice. I started with them in 1970 when it was Dr. Cartledge, (pre-Central Phoenix Eye Care), and my parents went to him in the 1960's. I would always highly recommend Central Phoenix Eye Care to anyone. read more
