The biggest downside to ordering sunglasses online is having to buy them before you know how they'll actually fit. If the size or style doesn't work, you're stuck dealing with returns. So when I found out Shady Rays had a physical store in Scottsdale, I immediately made plans to stop by and pick up a few more pairs. The store itself was fantastic. Huge selection--I'm pretty sure they had their entire collection available to try on. Needless to say, I probably tried on almost every frame in the store before making my final choices. The staff was excellent too. Unlike places like Sunglass Hut where associates hover over you nonstop, the team here gave me plenty of space to browse comfortably. The manager was friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to help whenever I had questions. The prices and overall value are hard to beat. I walked out with several pairs of sunglasses plus extra cases and sleeves for less than the price of a single pair of Maui Jims my wife recently bought. One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is their lost and broken protection policy. I've had to use it before, and replacing a pair only cost me $16. That alone makes these sunglasses worth it. She was kind and informative without being pushy or hovering over us. She explained that the lost or broken protection is good for up to two pairs of replacement shades over two years. There is a $16 replacement fee. This is included with every pair of their glasses (including the kids glasses!) for no extra fee. What a great feature for parents of little ones! My toddler is obsessed with my sunnies a broke a pair about a month ago :( We ended up getting a pair for myself and for our toddler. The prices are amazing, especially considering the lost/broken protection is included. I seriously expected them to be at least over $100. This store has some fantastic features: - a mini putting green. Pretty sure it's to test out their golf glasses but they do have a plastic set of kids clubs that my daughter loved. After receiving the new prescription, we paid $484 (with insurance) for glasses that turned out to be unusable. My husband cannot see clearly with them and actually sees much better with his old glasses. At the follow-up appointment, we explained the issue but were told, "this is the best we can do." No meaningful solution was offered, and we were later given the same prescription as the old glasses. We were also informed that no refund is possible. As retirees on a fixed income, this is a significant loss for us. The only positive part of this experience was Alicia in the optical department, who truly tried to help and was very professional. Sadly, due to how this was handled, we cannot recommend this location

He has had a lot of experience. He had good equipment plus the skills to tune my computer-generated prescription to a correction that will improve my sight clarity.
