I can't say enough wonderful things about Sassy Glasses. I don't think I'll ever get glasses anywhere else. It's more than just a great glasses shop- it's great people, who care. I've been getting glasses there for around 8 years. I have some sunglasses that I got from them ~6 years ago that seem better than my current prescription just because the lenses are SO much better (and my eyes get worse every year). They have options for lenses my eye drs office has never heard of. I made the mistake of getting my recent glasses online to save money- the focal point is on the wrong place and it's just not worth it. They also have the most amazing selection of frames high quality frames you can't get anywhere else. They can replace lenses in my grandmothers designer vintage frames. Most importantly, they are the most helpful, competent, kind, and lovely people. My eye dr made a huge mistake while I'm in a giant, very stressful, crunch to move states for my dream job- Lynn has gone above and beyond to explain all the ins and outs of starting progressives vs computer glasses vs work glasses. I'm a welder/designer/artist so I also do lots of computer work and that means 4 pairs of glasses. (Which is a lot, and stressful, when you haven't been able to get a job for years and have all the costs associated with moving. Which they've been willing to work with me on. I was not expecting that.) She recommended a Dr to get into see quickly for a second opinion and also assured me that the lenses are all under warranty so even if I move and need to mail them back to fix it they will make sure I get the correct lenses that I like. I've had multiple non elective eye surgeries. My migraines go nuts if my prescription isn't right. Bad blue light protection makes me feel uncomfortable. (You can't tell there's blue light protection on these at ALL.) None of this worried them- it made them want to help me get into good lenses and take care of my eyes. You only get one pair of eyes. I don't think it's worth risking them for cheap online glasses. It's also not worth the risk of losing local shops like this one. We only get one world. I agree with what they told me - we should all be trying to be kind and take care of each other, right now. Really, I don't think I'll ever buy a pair of glasses from anywhere else, ever, because it's better for my eyes and it's better for PEOPLE. My family lives in Phoneix so I fully plan to fly back and get new lenses/frames when needed. I want a world with more people and businesses like Sassy Glasses. This is a very stressful time for me and they've done more than anyone to make it all feel doable and to go above and beyond on my very short time line. (When I'm sure I'm a huge pain to deal with because I'm so stressed, too.) I took difficult vintage oversized Cartier aviator frames to have lenses fit. These weren't frames I wanted to send out and they do the work in house so they that put me at ease. They were a difficult ask but they worked through all the challenges and got them right. I went back because I had some fit issues, they addressed and fixed them right away no charge. Lynn in particular was very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure my glasses were made exactly right for my sightline and that they fit perfectly. She made me feel comfortable to come back anytime to have them adjusted or for any other needs I have. I trust her to help me with any special or custom orders in the future. read more

This is a lovely store with a great selection of fun, unique glasses. They did such an awesome job showing me different options of glasses that would match my style and work well with my face and hair color and eye color that I was having trouble deciding between two. I was leaning towards buying Feb 31st Eva glasses because they are WOODEN and PURPLE and looked fabulous, but they were charging $715 for just the frame. Sent a pictures to a friend to help me choose who pointed out that it was on sale online for $300 (normally $375). Even with shipping and insurance, it was so much less expensive. I would probably pay an extra $100-$200 to support a local store which has to pay rent and stock inventory, but not $300-$400 more. Then there was this gorgeous pair of l.a.Eyeworks Porter glasses and the African tortoise looked amazing on me, and I thought they would make great sunglasses, but the store was so weird about me writing down the brand that I wasn't able to check online to see what the cost was. A real shame because I would've seen they were actually $10 more online and bought them in the store. Instead I purchased online when I got home. (Though I now see my regular optometrist charges $200 less for lenses.) read more

I like to highlight a business best qualities first. Wow! I can easily describe this business as one of the best locations to find the most elegant, and cutting edge eyewear. The collections in person are as vast as online, simply the best I've encountered. I was lucky enough to meet Jessica the owner. She was not only en chanting, but her style exuded elegance and cutting edge as well as her eyewear boutique. Be aware that you will need a current prescription no longer than a year. Had I known that, I would have made other arrangements. I also discovered that refunds are not allowed according to the staff. Was very understanding and not pushy at all, she was willing to work with whatever constraints I threw at her. The best part was that she was able to suggest styles and colours that would compliment my face. I have never liked the way glasses looked on me until I went here. I will say that they were a bit more expensive than I had hoped but I jumped for the pricier option because they look phenomenal! In terms of customer service. I had an issue with my insurance needing a specific kind of invoice and they created it for me and emailed it to me so I didn't have to stop in even. I have been in twice (once to order and once to pickup glasses) and have felt incredibly surprised and uncomfortable with the brazen approach to a global pandemic. The employee I worked with did offer to put a mask on "if it makes you more comfortable" but meanwhile a half dozen other employees and customers are walking around you. That does not help. I've been meaning to stop here for years, made the stop today. I'm so happy I did, I found some distinctive rimless eyeglasses in electric blue frames. My optician was helpful and didn't do the non stop up-sell. The store takes FSA cards but no insurance so if you have insurance you have to file the paperwork yourself. I was very excited to purchase new glasses at Sassy Glasses. When I entered I noticed that no one was wearing a mask - neither staff nor customers. I mentioned it to the sales person who said, standing near me, that she would wear one if it made me feel better. Not the issue! Too many people - too much risk! So I left and went to two other shops - both (1) required masks for entry, (2) had staff wearing gloves, (3) isolated frames touched for cleaning before returning the into stock, (4) and cleaned surfaces regularly. One even took my temperature. I ended up purchasing frames and lenses from the second shop I visited. PubMed and the professional associations for optical shops provide guidelines. The Arizona Optometric Association provides links to the key guidelines @ azoa@azoa.org. Sassy Glasses - which holds itself out as a premier shop - does not seem to care. :( I wish I could rank them less than one * Gene S PS - I called the Sassy Glasses the store later in the hope that they would consider their policies as we are in the midst of a pandemic.
