DO NOT COME HERE TO REPAIR YOUR GLASSES! This was the only location that was able to fix my glasses during the COVID-19 pandemic. I dropped off my glasses to get repaired. My bridge of my glasses broke and needed to be replaced I let the women know that my glasses were transitional. I never signed anything stating if additional damaged happens during the repair, that I would still be liable for the cost. When the manufacturer was trying to replace the bridge they ended up breaking my lenses. She gave me a quote to fix the repair. I told the women I should not be responsible for the payment because the manufacturer were the ones that damaged my glasses. She stated that she has been selling these glasses for over 20 years and that sometimes additional things occur when the manufacturer are trying to repair the glasses She did give me a pretty reasonable price. When my glasses were ready to be picked up. The women stated to me that the amount of money that she quoted did not include the transition lenses. I paid half price for having the transitional lenses, instead of the full price. I ended up still paying for my glasses but I am extremely unhappy that I still had to pay for the repair and they wouldn't budge on the manufacturer responsibility and paying for the repair of my glasses. read more

I had two pairs of sunglasses with me. One needed a screw for the frame that holds the lens in and the other pair had a screw that popped out a couple times. Initially, I was going to go to Lens Crafters since it was right by my home but then thought what the hell am I doing since I am huge supporter of local businesses? I popped into Ray Glasses and had the wonderful opportunity to meet the owners, Diana and Ray. Diana immediately greeted me with a friendly hello. I explained to her what was going on with the sunglasses. She investigated the one pair and let me know that the screw was fine and it just became loose. The second pair she briefly swooped away and a few moments later, she had put it back together with a new screw making it good as new. She insisted that I didn't owe her anything for her time and expertise. Needless to say, I was extremely appreciative and thanked her more than once. This business exudes "Customer Service." Murphy's Law being what it is, I broke my glasses the week before I had to fly out of the country for my wedding. After poor experiences trying to remedy the situation at Optical Shop of Aspen and LensCrafters, I went to Ray Eyewear at my fiancée's suggestion. Ray, the business's namesake, and his wife walked me off the ledge I was on, helped me select a new frame, and rush ordered some lenses so that I would have the new glasses before I left for the wedding. THEN, because the lenses in the pair I had broken were intact (I had broken the frame), Ray mounted them in a "loaner" frame so that I would have functional glasses while I waited for my new pair! Ray's selection of frames is great, the store is very cool, and you can't beat their customer service. I'm now a loyal customer. read more

Ray Eyewear is set up almost like an art gallery for eye glasses. Most glasses are displayed higher up on cases instead of hanging from every square inch of the walls. You won't see anything by Coach or Prada here, and that's because they carry real designer items. (at least from what I could tell) I went here after many weeks of online sorting through eyewear manufacturers and decided on a pair of frames by "SALT. Optics," whose business ethics appealed to me. Ray Eyewear was the only place in the valley who carried them. Ray and Diana explained a little more about their shop, how they consider people who walk through their doors clients, not customers. They support the Buy Local movement and even ride their bicycles to work sometimes! The word anti-corporate was even in their vocabulary. I wouldn't say this is a good store for kids, but they were unafraid of my 4 year old being in there, which was a big plus for me since I just can't hire a baby sitter for everything I do. On top of everything, I set this rating at 5 stars because although they do not work with insurance, they guarantee their lenses for two years and worked with me on making the lenses more affordable without reducing quality. Its not east finding the level of service and quality eyewear when only choose to wear frames instead of contacts. Its even harder to find someone who actually can deal with Chrome Hearts frames. Ray and Diana of Rays are the great discovery for after recently relocating from the Pacific Northwest. This guy really knows eyewear and how to style your lenses just right not only for your look but your personality. I needed to order new lenses for my frames and usually add a tint. I never would have thought blue, but Ray said it was for me. I trusted him and I am so glad I did. They look great. I also needed a new pair of sunglasses ands just freaked when I saw the Anthony Bourdain Style frames. He added my prescription to those as well and I cannot wait to get those. Stopped by here recently with my mom to look for glasses for her. The salesman then proceeded to tell my mom her current glasses were "out of style" and kept forcing her to try on pairs of glasses that were totally not even close to what she wanted. He was somewhat helpful, certainly brutally honest, but a little too clingy and swearing while trying to help us was not a plus.
