What can I say that hasn't been said..... came here for the first time for an anniversary dinner. We traveled about 1.5 hours and it was well worth it. We ended up ordering 4 entrees which were all great, the Michaels pasta,meat ravioli ,teres major steak and of course the lasagna and tiramisu for dessert. Of course we had leftovers. Well I'm pretty late to my own party! That's is my delicious romantic diner I enjoyed for my birthday this past September. I followed Mary''s Yelp to dine on the patio, it's magical with the string lights and tile. The staff, and particularly our server Carissa was perfectly pleasant and gracious, she has the most adorable petite tattoo of a Hawaiian flower, On to the dishes, again by Marys suggestion, the bursts & prosciutto board was yummy. A great stater. I thoroughly enjoyed scrumptious 10 layer lasagna paired with the Dancing Lady Zinfandel. My husband savored the the meat ravioli. Not that we had much room left but one should not pass on the opportunity to enjoy the Farmer Market fruit crisp with a side of Noble Folk cherry ice cream ! Over the top Delightful! How have we let 7 months pass before returning to Catelli's?! We were driving through the area around 6pm last night, a Saturday night without a reservation. We called and couldn't get a last-minute reservation - they're busy! - but learned that we could order/eat at the bar, first come first serve, and that there'd likely be space. There was! He ordered a glass of Dancing Ladies Zin and I was went with one of my faves, Portalupi Shake Ridge Ranch Barbera! So exciting that this was newly added to the menu! If you haven't been to Portalupi, check out their tasting room in downtown Healdsburg! We debated about trying something different for the starters but couldn't resist repeating the delicious Burrata & Prosciutto and Kale Salad! Highly recommend both! If you have to choose only one, go Burrata & Prosciutto - you'll still get greens with the arugula! We did shake it up with our main courses. It was a cool evening so we ordered cozy pastas. He went for Michael's Pasta, which we were told is one of the most popular menu items. And I chose the cheese ravioli with the mushroom cream sauce (the ravioli come with cheese or meat and you can choose from a few sauce options, but this combo was a winner!). But let me tell you something; I will definitely be coming back again and again... and very soon! After a wonderful day of wine tasting, my friends and I were ready to recuperate with some lavish sustenance. I had been dying to try this place for a while, so when my friends and booked our wine tasting reservations, I made sure to book us a table at Catelli's. This is a super popular place in the neighborhood and for a good reason. Because of this, I would highly recommend that you book reservations in advance to secure a table. We requested for patio seating and our hostess walked us to their back patio. I mean, WOWZA! Who knew that all of that beauty was tucked behind there?! Their patio setup is one of the cutest that I've seen in a while. First of all... the private cabanas! SO friggin' adorable!!! After we saw them, we asked if we could sit in one. Unfortunately, they had all been reserved in advance. Next time for sure! Their regular patio seating is super fun too. It's very open and airy with plenty of heat lamps to keep you warm when it's chilly out. It's also covered with several umbrella shades for those warm sunny days. We ordered the following: *Meatball appetizer: Scrumptious! The meatballs were soft, tender, and literally melted in my mouth. The sauce was traditional but it had a wonderful subtle spice to it. The fresh cheese and basil added wonders. We really enjoyed these. *Truffle fries: So incredible! A dish that we were literally fighting over. Perfectly crispy and lightly dusted with fragrant parmesan, lemon zest, and truffle oil. No dipping sauce needed! These babies were so good! *Basil Caesar salad: So light and simple yet so wonderfully refreshing. I always enjoy a good Caesar salad, and this one did us justice. *Chicken piccata: Amazing! The chicken was so moist and flavorful. This was my friend's dish, but it had me wishing that I ordered it too. I rarely ever any type of chicken entrees when I go out to restaurants (especially an Italian restaurant). I've always felt that baked chicken dishes are easy and something that I can make myself at home. Nope, not this dish. This chicken piccata is phenomenal! Honestly some of the best that I've ever had. The flavor profile is so ridiculous on this. I would happily order this on a future visit. *Clam, prawn, and sausage sauté: Very tasty! The spices and the broth were so yummy. The seafood tasted very fresh. This was another one of my friend's dishes and she really enjoyed it. *10 layer Lasagna: WOW! I mean daaayum!!! This was SENSATIONAL. It wasn't my dish, but it might as well had been with the way that I was diggin' all in that damn plate (yes, I'm THAT kind of friend! And don't you dare judge!). Creamy, meaty, lovable goodness right there! An absolutely magnificent rendition of classic Italian lasagna. The meat, the sauce, the cheese; everything was perf on this. No wonder it's their flagship! Will definitely be getting this next time! *Michael's pasta: Fantastic! This dish was recommended to me by my server and she did not steer me wrong. The spicy homemade sausage was to die for. And paired with their fragrant homemade red sauce, sauteed mushrooms, garlic, cream, and cheese?! It was a match MADE, baby! My tastebuds were so electrified! Loved it so much that I practically ate the rest for breakfast the next morning! I know, I know... but it was just so damn good. Another dish that I would without a doubt have again. We brought two bottles of red wine with us to have with our dinner, and the corkage fee was only $10 per bottle! Very nominal compared to what you'd usually pay at a restaurant like this. Service was stellar from beginning to end. I can't remember the name of our server, but she was super bubbly and attentive. It's rare to find a place where the sauce is like homemade, the ambience is comfy and inviting and it seems everyone knows your name or at least wants to. If this sounds like a place you should try, you're absolutely right. Decided to go here for my birthday meal, which I think speaks volumes to how great it is. As usual, I forgot to take many photos because we got so wrapped up and how delicious everything is before you know it it's gone the only thing better than coming in for a great dinner on a cold rainy night would be having dinner on the patio on a warm evening. This place is super good! I will say we were so into all the deliciousness that I completely forgot to take a pic of our salad and we had already dug into the food, but you get the idea. Parking out front is terrible but there is a big gravel lot down a narrow street at the stop sign. Ambiance was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was thrilled to get a same day Sunday evening dinner spot for 2. I'm normally not that lucky... I cannot come here, and not get the chicken parmigiana. It is my all time favorite dish of any restaurant ever! They serve it over a creamy polenta and their tomato sauce is by far the best on earth! Back tracking... we started with the burrata and prosciutto... 5 stars! We ordered drinks, starters, more drinks, entrees and more drinks and the staff took great care of us eachtime we ordered. This isnt a place to just pop in so its important to make a reservation ahead of time because chances are, you will be turned away. Bathrooms are a little tight for a larger restaurant, theres people just standing in the walkways trying to come in & out. Also, when we checked in for our reservation we were told to order a drink or just wait around while they got out table ready, but its such a tight fit in their front end/bar area that we kind of just stood in the way until they sat us, super uncomfortable. We found this gem while driving back from Mendocino to the Bay Area. It was by far the best food of our trip, and arguably the best food we have had in quiet awhile. From the outside, it looks like a little hole in the wall. We were surprised to be walked through the large restaurant to. E taken out to a giant, beautiful patio out back. The decor and ambiance is stunning. We ordered the meatball sliders-- another review called them "melt in your mouth", which we didn't think meatballs could do, but they absolutely did. We shared the spicy pasta (I'm forgetting the name-- Michael's pasta?). It was absolutely amazing, and split between the two of us was still a very generous portion for each. Located on the edge of Geyserville next to a tasting room or two, this family owned restaurant serves up some excellent Italian cuisine made from locally sourced organic ingredients. Through the yellow door entrance, past the bar lies two dining areas, one indoors and out back a large patio area. Having experienced both, I'd recommend the patio, weather permitting. Attached to the patio is a garden area which guests can explore. The wine section is an excellent collection of primarily local wines and the service is excellent. The star of the experience, the food, is an excellent mix of fresh ingredients. We've had the Pasta with Mushroom Cream Sauce, Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan. The front of house staff is always happy to see us and find a way to get us in even without a reservation. Tiffany greets us with a smile and the wait is never too long. Cameron is by far our favorite server!!! He has a cheerful demeanor with service being spot on. He's prompt to get our order and food and comes out timely. Don't forget desert! We almost always finish off our dinner with The Noble Sundae. I'd recommend the cherry pistachio ice cream if they have it on hand. You won't regret it! If you haven't eaten here yet, give it a try. Up in Geyserville for our granddaughter's basketball game, we made reservations for lunch afterward. A rainy, cold day, it was warm and welcoming in the dining room. Not overly busy, two servers share duties in a very professional and friendly manner. We each ordered a glass of Ramazzotti red wine to accompany our meal. To eat, we shared a 1/2 Ceasar salad and garlic bread. My wife chose cheese ravioli with Domenica's tomato sauce, and I chose spaghetti with mushroom sauce. To finish, we each selected the affogato. I got mine with Noble Folk chocolate ice cream and my wife vanilla. Service and food were great. We like to dine on the spur of the moment, and most times, the restaurant is fully reserved. My niece's birthday celebration was October 20, and she chose Catelli's as her restaurant of choice, most of us had been there a few times, we all thought it was a great choice. We were a party of 15, your reservation vs special event policies are a bit cumbersome, but we worked through that and settled on a 3:30 dinner reservation. We arrived a few minutes late, I believe we were being seated at 3:40, due to our tardiness, a point Manager Tony was too quick to point out, how he needed the table right after us for another large party . Our waiter James was phenomenal, attentive, offered substantive recommendations, even from afar, he would look at each of us to be sure we were having a good time. I ordered the Lasagna, reading somewhere it was voted as one of the top ten lasagna's in the United States. The flavor was OK, the taste as well as the presentation made me think I was eating a casserole. I truly would not have known this was lasagna if I hadn't ordered it as such, the sauce was a bit sweet, reminiscent of its origins being canned. It lacked the nose and taste of fresh herbs. My wife started with the beet salad, she was impressed it was made with golden beets, although hers came with red beets. My son was enjoying the last of his hanger steak, two more bites to go when Manager Tony came and cleared his plate. We were here for a Birthday Celebration, at this time, we were told by Manager Tony we were not allowed to have a desert we brought in, I asked him if we could bring an outside bottle of wine in for an appropriate corkage fee, "of course" he said, so then I asked why not charge for a desert brought in? His answer was "because of Covid", and regardless, he had another large party coming in and needed the table. We paid, we left, had a wonderful desert at the Geyserville Sculpture Trail, what a wonderful place. On our way out I did notice the outside patio was less than half way full, as was the primary dining room inside, hardly a need for Manager Tony to hurry us along. Bottom line? The food was mediocre at best, but everyone is allowed an off day in my book, but your level of customer service is not allowed to be sub-par if you are going to be the elevated restaurant you strive to be. The difficulty with making reservation with Tony before hand, his lack of being warm and welcoming as we arrived, and his need to rush us out when your establishment was less that half full, make me want to not come back. However, if I do, I will call ahead to assure Manager Tony has the day off. read more

Our reservation was honored. Service was just ok on a Sunday night at 7pm. There were lots of large tables celebrating birthdays and as a result our table for 2 was somewhat ignored by our waitress. She stopped finally and took our order but didn't pickup the menus ever. Given that our tabletop was very tiny we put them on the fireplace hearth along with the bottle of wine that we brought. I did very much appreciate that the woman working behind the bar offered to open our bottle of wine and pour us a glass while we waited patiently for our table to become available. She made my hubby and me feel very welcomed. Ambiance was very noisy with all the large groups around us, some drinking a little too much and getting obnoxiously loud to the two small children running around the dining room and crying.
