Another great Phoenix experience! This restaurant is located in our hotel at the Sheraton. The ambience is outstanding. It is beautiful with open air and a lovely patio. Our server, Courtney, was so accommodating and thoughtful, and gave us a history on how the restaurant represents Arizona. We all ordered something different, and we were all pleasantly pleased. I was shocked to find a vegan option that was also gluten-free that I could add chicken to as I have a cows milk allergy pasta was outstanding, and the cashew cream sauce was amazing definitely enough food that's for sure. My counterparts had the fillet, the trout, and the shrimp and grits, and we're all very pleased so we each had a little piece of the menu. The portion sizes are generous, and the customer service is outstanding. This is probably one of the best hotel restaurants that I've been in in quite a while, and it was so fresh. If there are conferences and conventions going on, definitely make a reservation, but you should be able to walk in with ease at any other time. read more

The shareable Butcher plate was great. The avocado toast was okay once I added some salt. It was $14 for one small slice of toast but that's what I ordered so it's okay. My friends got burgers and they were very oily could not finish it. The Buddha bowl could use seasoning. The drinks were not great either wayyy too sweet. We added a side of potatoes - don't do it, they were nasty. They tasted microwaved. We won't return. Our server was pretty good his name was Javier. If you want seasoned food go elsewhere. Amazing restaurant within the Sheraton downtown PHX. Had a reservation through open table for a Wednesday morning before catching our flight back home. Waiter took a long time to come over but also rushed us then got orders wrong (and acted like we made an error when we pointed it out), didn't serve coffee for a very long time, didn't refill without us specifically asking. Our Bartender, Jeremy - was Great! The recommended Benedict and Buddha bowl were perfect and just enough to satisfy our hunger. First time experience here....four of us stopped in for a few drinks/food before a show downtown. The location is great and the ambience is super cool. Right now its perfect weather especially around sundown when temps drop quickly. We got a table on the patio and started with some drinks. We ordered a few side plates, the shrimp ceviche and guac were great. The hummus was a different feel but I appreciated the diversity in its preparation and presentation. We got a variety of main courses to include the burger, the trout (the crispy skin was awesome) and the pasta dish with chicken. All of them were good and again nice presentation. Service at the table was great, good communication and attentive. The drinks did come out slow and it wasn't super busy so they might need to take a look at that, especially since some tables may be on a time crunch. All and all, I will return. read more

As the restaurant was closing, and our party was heading out, we were discussing if we should walk around the area or head home and one of the waiters/bartenders said "it's better to go home" or "it's time to go home" in a rude tone and we weren't even talking to him. We turned around to look at him to see if maybe he was joking but he had a straight face and turned around to face the register. We spent $700 here and we tipped well. We were polite to our waitress so I don't understand why the comment. If they wanted us to leave, they could have politely come up to our table and let us know they were closing soon but there were so many other tables with people. The food was good but the staff looks annoyed for some reason. For such an expensive restaurant, you'd expect better hospitality. Such a shame. Oh, and there's a fruit fly problem. read more

I came here as a last minute surprise for my boyfriend's 25th. Since it was last minute, I didn't realize how expensive it was, but it was a special occasion and we went. The ambiance felt like a fancy modern restaurant if it were in the 70's. I mean this in a nice way since the coloring was different. I ordered the steak snd my boyfriend ordered the fish. There was not a large array of options, but they were amazing. At the end, our waitress gave us cotton candy to conclude the meal. It was so flavorful compared to cheap cotton candy in the buckets. Wasn't worth the wait - probably one of the saddest burgers I've had since my college days eating cafeteria food. All in all a disappointment. The hostess literally didn't speak to us at all. She just looked at us and after we told her how many she led us to a table. Not a great start to dinner. Do not order The Steer as a drink. It tasted like Robitussin. Our server forgot we ordered an appetizer, so we never got that. After we placed our order he came back to tell us the kitchen couldn't make steaks or chops due to a fan issue. But came back a minute later and said never mind. So confusing. My organic airline chicken was ok. The chicken skin was not rendered in any way so it was just fatty and inedible. The risotto was undercooked and you couldn't taste poblano at all and the carrots were slightly overcooked. The carrots were still probably the best thing on the plate though. Sadly seemed very overpriced for what we received. With all the other great restaurants in the area this one won't be high on my list to return to anytime soon. The only redeeming quality was some of the decor. Loved the tree inside. read more

You can park in the hotel's underground parking and get your parking ticket validated. Servce left to be desired. I was disappointed when we showed up about 10 min before the switch between the brunch slot and the next slot (honestly can't remember how they referred to it). Although there were lots of seats available, we were told they could not seat us unless we wanted brunch, and we'd have 10 min to order. We had to stand around waiting for them to allow us to have a seat. I was hoping to sit by the tree, but was told that area was closing. I asked about a table nearby but was told someone had already requested it and that he was just using the restroom (whoever that was, he never came back). We got seated at a different table, not the end of the world. Our waitress checked on us really fast, before we were ready to order. We asked for a couple of minutes, but then she didn't come back for a very long time. After about 20 min of waiting, we had to flag someone else to get our drinks and food order. Let me start by saying that the ambience and food here exceeded my expectations! Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined due to our server. She rarely came to our table for refills and general needs while dining. I am extremely understanding of wait staff (I waitressed in a high volume restaurant for about 5 years). She was unconcerned about her service and was very rude when we asked simple questions. I was very disappointed on my Father's Day Brunch that was not available at Carcara, we were here last Easter & enjoyed the brunch. My Wife booked it & when we arrived there was no brunch service even though it was advertised as a $119.00 per person. Very disappointed that it was cancelled without notice, we could've booked Wren & Wolf. Another issue was that we had about 3 1/2 pancakes, pork sausage, & turkey bacon left to be boxed up, we received only the pancakes in our to go box. I'd recommend if you're not going to have brunch on a special occasion in the future that you notify guests beforehand, as I stated we had other choices for a Father's Day Brunch! read more

The ambiance is incredible- it's very visually stimulating and there's a lot to explore within the restaurant. I love the big tree in the center. It's a unique concept. As for the menu and food, though, I wasn't blown away. The menu doesn't offer a lot of variety, and the prices are very expensive (especially for what you are getting). We stopped in for lunch, but left wishing we had gone someplace else to get the same thing for half the cost. The decor says "exotic", but the menu only carries meals that you could find at Applebees (basic salads, bowls, and a few cuts of meat). I'm not opposed to the basics at all, but in a high class establishment like this I expect them to have some sort of surprising, original element to make them their own. Random late night date drink with the bestie. Tried the new spot that was under construction for basically all of covid and then some. We'll they have done well. Drinks were amazing for summertime. Wife enjoyed an espresso martini and I had a wagon wheel "no syrups". Bartender added fresh basil and cucumber rather than syrup and it was so refreshing. It's still quite warm at night but they know how to make Arizona summer drinks. Espresso martini had no milk(cus that's a bad decision "anchorman") and like I said the wagon wheel with cucumber just hits the pallet so we'll in this heat.
