This place is definitely someplace you check out if you want to get some homework done. It was adorably decorated with birdcages and an assortment of charming little knickknacks. The outside ambiance is where its at with a porch swing, views of sky tower buildings and a pretty patio garden. The selection of drinks was great and my seasonal order was delicious. I'd say the match was on the not to sweet side and my drink needed a bit more cardamon (it was light in taste). I even had to go back inside for some more cardamon but other than that the quality of the matcha was earthy and delicious. Thank you!

I've only heard great things and it was such a pleasure to make a visit. The interior is ultra modern, and art-centered. On a Wednesday morning, there was one staff member holding it down and a wait/line with about 5-6 people, so the wait was about 15-20 minutes in total-- including ordering and waiting for drinks. There was mainly only paid street parking options, but it wasn't hard to find any right in front of the shop. I got two drinks: Más and Abeja, to try their matcha and coffee, and really thoroughly enjoyed both. The matcha is a little bit on the milkier side, but I did enjoy that it was completely unsweetened, and leaned on the vanilla cold foam for a light sweetness. I think I enjoyed the coffee more personally, as the honey paired super well with the espresso and oat milk. The espresso is very good. I would come back if I was in the area, I just wish the parking situation was a little different!

The ambiance, drinks, and service were all great! There is an entrance to Lola Coffee from Roosevelt and another from the back near parking spaces. There is a restroom near the back entrance, and the start to the line to place an order is right near the front entrance. I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. You can see their menu, history, photos, and more on their website (https://lolacoffeebarphx.com). While I had trouble choosing between a lemonade for a cold beverage or hot chocolate for a warm beverage, it's great they have so many options. Again, try them for drinks, breakfast, or pastries. Their staff is so helpful and the actual restaurant is quite welcoming to everyone.

I came in the late afternoon to this bakery/coffee house combo, and I was pleasantly surprised with the environment. Lots of natural light and easy-going atmosphere. It was a small shop, but still had good seating. I ordered a prickly pear espresso tonic and got a bag of beans as well. I had a great interaction with the barista and she recommended me some good beans to take home. The tonic itself was very refreshing, and I was happy to have it on one of the hottest days of the year up until then. Lovely vibes and the coffee is great. I think I want to come back to try their other espresso-based stuff to get a good gauge on how a flat white or cortado tastes. I'll definitely want to come back, especially to visit their larger location in Chandler.

Overall, this was a solid coffee shop experience with friendly staff, tasty food, and a clean space that made it easy to hang out for a bit. Inside/Outside - 4/5 The shop was clean, organized, and well maintained. Everything felt organized and efficient, which I appreciated. There was plenty of seating and a comfortable environment to enjoy coffee or get some work done. My only gripe is that the space felt a little too polished. It had more of a corporate coffee shop feel than the cozy neighborhood café vibe I typically gravitate toward. Nothing wrong with that, just a matter of personal preference. Customer Service - 4/5 The staff were nice and kind. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, patient, and happy to answer questions. Service was quick, and I had my order in hand before long. Food & Dranks - 4/5 I ordered the Peanut Butter Shaker along with the Bacon & Egg Empanada. The Peanut Butter Shaker was smooth, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Definitely a fun twist if you're looking for something beyond your standard coffee order. Plus came with some extra protein. The Bacon & Egg Empanada was warm, flaky, and made for a great grab-and-go breakfast. Nothing overly fancy, but it hit the spot and paired well with the drink. A little small but definitely a great snax. TL;DR - Overall: 4/5 - Clean and organized coffee shop - Street parking - Peanut Butter Shaker was delicious with extra protein - Bacon & Egg Empanada made for a solid snax - Good spot to grab coffee, work, or relax - Only drawback was that it felt a bit corporate versus a cozy local coffeehouse - Would happily stop by again for a coffee and snack

More importantly, the effects were exactly as described. As I enjoyed my drink, a gentle sense of relaxation gradually settled in, leaving me feeling calm, centered, and remarkably at ease without any sense of heaviness.
