Service was friendly. Ambiance was your typical coffee shop cool vibe. Reasonable prices for a good caffeine fix.

Amazing local coffee shop with multiple locations in the Seattle area. Their syrups are home made! I got their season pumpkin syrup, and I heard they even grow their own pumpkins too! The vibe is a like any local shop, there's people on their laptops, reading, and people stopping in for coffee. The also sell their own beans. I'm not coffee connoisseur but their coffee beans are pretty good with no burnt taste-- nice and toasty. Service wise, they were quick and helpful with my questions.

Delicious coffee drinks in this cozy coffee shop in Capitol Hill - friendly baristas, great service and incredibly smooth velvet foam on lattes. Highly recommend the Medici (mocha with fresh orange zest) - an indulgent coffee treat! Quiet neighborhood coffee shop, great spot to work from.

Caffe Ladro is the best espresso coffee in town IMHO. My usual combo is Gibraltar + Espresso Chip Cake, I love it! This location has the typical Capitol Hill vibe, service is courteous and speedy. Recommended!

I got a nice breakfast with my mom here this morning. The barista didn't bat an eye when we asked a million questions. The baked items were tough to decide between! I got the autumnal special latte, the gingerbread witch. Loved it! Not too sweet and incredibly smooth. My mom also loved her chai, which could come with varying levels of spiciness and sweetness. The pumpkin scone was not very sweet, which my mom liked, but I think it needed a little bit of sweetness. My cranberry almond cake was nice, but the bites with the cranberry pieces were obviously the best. Definitely set up for a good number of people to work. Even on this early Sunday morning, there were folks setting up to crank away.

Ladro coffee is no shadow man, just the coffee god of our age! Perfect blend of local roasting skills the've incorporated into all there coffee beans to draw out the most robust flavors. Have you've ever dreamed of the perfect cup of "JOE" ? If so then make your way to Cafe Ladro for either a fresh drawn cub or bag of beans to brew at home. Your taste bugs are begging you for it at 6am so must oblige in your tastebuds desire. Also if your stopping into the shop there homemade pastry are wonderful. The two items that stand out are the ham & cheese croissant and the apple crisp. However the apple pie is the BEST, but it's no longer served by the slice so you must special order a entire pie, but so worth it. Hope FRANK has given u a proper tip for the coffee gods. If not you'll suffer at Starbucks!

Happen to be in the neighborhood looking for a quick morning pick-me-up. The cafe is open early and the coffee is piping hot. Service is quick. No place to sit but there is parking close by. COVID be damned... I had a grande drip with splash of hazelnut and cream. It is the right kinda strong that I needed this time of the morning, 6:45am. I also had a breakfast burrito wrapped with eggs, cheese, black beans and salsa. Not too spicy for me and was easily eaten with one hand. - the lovely attendant, heated it up. The cheese was soft melted and taste very good no extra salt or pepper needed. No mess and no fuss. The salsa was a bit on the spicy side, so, it's not for the queasy. I was in and out as quickly as I made up my mind on what I wanted to order.

haven't tried the coffee yet, but got a few pastries from ordering with the too good to go app. i got four pastries for $3.99 which i thought was a really good deal. the pastries were pretty good, especially the molasses cookie. the person working there had it ready for me and it was a quick process. not too many people in there since pick up is kind of at a random time, but i will definitely be going back to try their coffee!

I went in and bought a bag of ladro beans to see if I could replicate the "coffee scum" I paid 2.53 a cup for. The manager says their coffee is supposed to do this. I just think they dont clean their equipment. I brewed a cup at my house. There's barely any oil on top. And certainly none that looks like what I was served in Capitol Hill.

They clearly care about their image as they offer a free mug for first-time customers with an email sign-up. The drinks here are ok, but they average between $8-$10 each. I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!

This was on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm, and there were still so many people occupying nearly every seat inside. I did come back to try their matcha matcha drink only to find it gone from their current menu as of May 2026. Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

I also bought a bag of their Morning Sun coffee beans as a souvenir, and the cashier mentioned how it was one of her favorite blends to drink and gift! That reassured me about blind buying. My matcha latte was pretty good. It had an added earthiness from the brown sugar syrup. Though it wasn't as green as the matcha lattes I'm used to drinking back in SoCal, it wasn't bad! However, I think I would skip the gruyere pull apart pastry next time. I usually don't mind gruyere in savory pastries, but this one was especially greasy. The scallion one my friend got was much tastier and a lot lighter - I'd recommend that one over the gruyere one.
