Average coffee shop near my friend's place that we ducked into on a chilly rainy day. The ambiance is decent as it the nice bright menus they have so you can almost see what you might want before walking in. It was early in the morning so perhaps the staff hadn't had theirs yet because they weren't all that friendly or engaging. Got a couple of mocha's and I have to say, this was the most disappointing Mocha I've had in a long time, maybe ever. It wasn't very chocolatey nor was it even that hot. Were the machines not warmed up yet or what? Even leaving out no, "have a nice day!" or "Come again". Like no engagement whatsoever. As I look at the other reviews, I'm going to try to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just a down, slow day and they weren't feeling it. Even being forgiving with this though, Coffee Tree is a droplet in the ocean of coffee shops in the city that outclass poor Coffee Tree here easily. read more

Found this place by accident. Was looking for a quick breakfast bite. Anything would have worked honestly. So this visit was not planned but I am happy to discover a pretty good coffee place with good food options. I tried Chicken Pannini with Sourdough bread. Came in there today and encountered a young lady who looked like we were interrupting her nap. Worst customer service and engagement ever. We actually left the place thinking there was something wrong with us until we read prior reviews and saw that was pretty typical of this place. We were the only two people in there, so it's not like she was overloaded with work. We even left her a decent cash tip thinking it would brighten her mood, but not so much as a "thanks." In a town where there's a coffee shop on every corner, i'd suggest you keep walking to friendlier surroundings. read more

The chai and mocha we ordered were fine. I also did like my donut, but the blueberry muffin my partner had didn't taste very good. He had also asked for the blueberry coffee cake but the server misheard. It was fine since he didn't mind but perhaps the coffee cake was better. It seems like a good place to grab a quick snack and beverage. The server was friendly but did seem to struggle to hear my order. Absolutely loved this corner coffee shop in Seattle, just a few blocks from our Crowne Plaza Hotel. Cozy chairs, outdoor seating option, great atmosphere, super friendly staff. I scored a fab iced mango tea, and was finishing that up when the barista surprised me with a free drink that I think was a mistaken order, but was perfectly delicious, and I don't even like coffee or hot drinks! I think it was a white chocolate strawberry coffee with oat milk, wow! I'll definitely return next time I'm in Seattle. Loved this place! read more

Thankful that this place is open to serve the hospital and surrounding employees that still go into work. There are two tables outside for seating. Indoors there are a few limited seating options. I only wish it was a bit cheaper--I was surprised to find that it my final order came to nearly $8. I'm three coffees away from a free one. i use to come here weekly when working at the Polyclinic. Im very happy with the service, the treat options, its nice to just come and chill here to. I don't like too quiet, but they have different areas and outdoor seating as well. I live in M-Street apartments across the street from this coffee shop so when I have to work from home, I try to grab a quick coffee from this place. Honestly speaking, the latte is not that good at all - and that's the honest truth, i would suggest doing a small focus group and have a taste study to make sure the coffee is on par with other coffee shops around town. The pastry is good at times and sometimes stale - I am not sure if it's prepared on a daily basis but it's not consistent at all. Lastly, having a great customer service goes a long, long way. The owner doesn't seem to admit his mistakes, in any shape or form and has an excuse for everything. So if you have any suggestion or feedback in the store, please know that it won't be taken very well by him so use other forums like Yelp to make sure you get your point across. I will bet you anything that he will come on yelp as well and blast me for my opinion as well just the same way he did with all the other posts. Instead of taking the constructive criticism and try to give his customers a better experience. For as expensive as this place is, it's not worth it at all...and by the way, i forgot to mention that I have been in this place so many times and log in my phone number but have never received anything that they promise. Had to deal with a pet emergency across the street, and I was so glad to have a breakfast option - and a non-dairy one at that. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on an english muffin with egg, avocado, and the veggie sausage (apparently made with portobello mushroom). At $7.45 + tax, it was bit pricey. Clean, inexpensive coffee. I think this shop is awesome, quiet and peaceful. Sure, they have music play, but counter to the other reviews, I received good service, service with a smile. I suspect that most of the patrons are from the nearby hospitals, and the constant flow of light-blue scrub clad folks, probably proves that point. So the cold brew here is good. Tasty, and not watered down. I didn't catch where the beans were from, but who really cares. I have been here a few times now, just in the afternoon, before #datenight with the girlfriend, and it's always quiet.. a good respite from the busy. Sure, there are busier places, with more people, more seating, but here, it's comfy. I like the layout, simple, and they have plenty of snacks and food.
