Average coffee shop near my friend's place that we ducked into on a chilly rainy day. The ambiance is decent as it the nice bright menus they have so you can almost see what you might want before walking in. It was early in the morning so perhaps the staff hadn't had theirs yet because they weren't all that friendly or engaging. Got a couple of mocha's and I have to say, this was the most disappointing Mocha I've had in a long time, maybe ever. It wasn't very chocolatey nor was it even that hot. Were the machines not warmed up yet or what? Even leaving out no, "have a nice day!" or "Come again". Like no engagement whatsoever. As I look at the other reviews, I'm going to try to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just a down, slow day and they weren't feeling it. Even being forgiving with this though, Coffee Tree is a droplet in the ocean of coffee shops in the city that outclass poor Coffee Tree here easily. read more

Found this place by accident. Was looking for a quick breakfast bite. Anything would have worked honestly. So this visit was not planned but I am happy to discover a pretty good coffee place with good food options. I tried Chicken Pannini with Sourdough bread. It was a little bit on the expensive side but it was delicious. Very good job. The latte was also good - good strong flavour. read more

Came in there today and encountered a young lady who looked like we were interrupting her nap. Worst customer service and engagement ever. We actually left the place thinking there was something wrong with us until we read prior reviews and saw that was pretty typical of this place. We were the only two people in there, so it's not like she was overloaded with work. We even left her a decent cash tip thinking it would brighten her mood, but not so much as a "thanks." In a town where there's a coffee shop on every corner, i'd suggest you keep walking to friendlier surroundings. read more

The chai and mocha we ordered were fine. I also did like my donut, but the blueberry muffin my partner had didn't taste very good. He had also asked for the blueberry coffee cake but the server misheard. It was fine since he didn't mind but perhaps the coffee cake was better. It seems like a good place to grab a quick snack and beverage. The server was friendly but did seem to struggle to hear my order. Absolutely loved this corner coffee shop in Seattle, just a few blocks from our Crowne Plaza Hotel. Cozy chairs, outdoor seating option, great atmosphere, super friendly staff. I scored a fab iced mango tea, and was finishing that up when the barista surprised me with a free drink that I think was a mistaken order, but was perfectly delicious, and I don't even like coffee or hot drinks! I think it was a white chocolate strawberry coffee with oat milk, wow! I'll definitely return next time I'm in Seattle. Loved this place! read more

Thankful that this place is open to serve the hospital and surrounding employees that still go into work. There are two tables outside for seating. Indoors there are a few limited seating options. Great coffee and breakfast at this place quick walk from my apartment and such a lovely staff. They always play great music here and have a friendly family vibe inside. I walked here in the bitter cold because I thought I might be able to eat something here. Please add gluten free options or stop advertising yourself as gluten free. Cute place on First Hill offering coffee drinks, pastries from Macrina Bakery and more. I ordered a dirty chai latte, iced and with almond milk. It was tasty! I only wish it was a bit cheaper--I was surprised to find that it my final order came to nearly $8. I guess that's to be expected with a milk alternative plus chai/espresso mix...next time I'll try the "multi-grain latte" which the barista said tastes like Cheerios. I'm intrigued! read more

Amazing little coffee shop in a great downtown location. The coffee is delicious as are the breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The staff is extremely friendly and were helpful with questions I had. There is a good amount of seating and the wifi is quick. All around it's a great atmosphere. They also have boba tea which looked amazing! I'll have to try it next time I'm in the area. read more

It was nice to FINALLY come back to a place who actually had my information and didn't delete my most recent purchases. I'm three coffees away from a free one. i use to come here weekly when working at the Polyclinic. Im very happy with the service, the treat options, its nice to just come and chill here to. I don't like too quiet, but they have different areas and outdoor seating as well. They coffee is prety decent too, the sandwich I want to try that someone ordered: eggs, bacon, and avocado, sign me up ..... that sounds BOMB. I make breakfast every morning since I live ONE block away. I can't wait to come back. if your in the area STOP on in and have them make a tasty treat for you. read more

I live in M-Street apartments across the street from this coffee shop so when I have to work from home, I try to grab a quick coffee from this place. Honestly speaking, the latte is not that good at all - and that's the honest truth, i would suggest doing a small focus group and have a taste study to make sure the coffee is on par with other coffee shops around town. The pastry is good at times and sometimes stale - I am not sure if it's prepared on a daily basis but it's not consistent at all. Lastly, having a great customer service goes a long, long way. The owner doesn't seem to admit his mistakes, in any shape or form and has an excuse for everything. So if you have any suggestion or feedback in the store, please know that it won't be taken very well by him so use other forums like Yelp to make sure you get your point across. I will bet you anything that he will come on yelp as well and blast me for my opinion as well just the same way he did with all the other posts. Instead of taking the constructive criticism and try to give his customers a better experience. For as expensive as this place is, it's not worth it at all...and by the way, i forgot to mention that I have been in this place so many times and log in my phone number but have never received anything that they promise. Had to deal with a pet emergency across the street, and I was so glad to have a breakfast option - and a non-dairy one at that. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on an english muffin with egg, avocado, and the veggie sausage (apparently made with portobello mushroom). At $7.45 + tax, it was bit pricey. It was good, though, and I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area again. Will definitely go back if I'm back in the area. read more

I live right across the street and come down here often. The staff is always super friendly and they are dog friendly too, which makes me appreciate this place so much more. We really need more dog friendly places here in Seattle! The breakfast sandwiches are de-lish! Ah I love this place. My kind of coffee shop. A mix of comfy arms chairs, tables, and bar stool seating. Food: everything you need. Pastries, sandwiches, fruit, etc. I got the harvest bread and it was delicious! Drinks: TONS of loose leaf tea options. Blended frappe drinks (a cookie butter one?!? It was a quite long but short trip to seattle! Coming from the east coast i really didnt know what to expect on seattle! As i was stayin at cousin this cute little cafe was my goto coffee fix in the morning. I was very surprised by friendly service and the quality of food and drinks. They use victrola coffee which i have never had and it was pretty good because im more used to the starbucks coffee(sorry seattle folks) my last day i decided to try their lunch panini .. i had their roast beef panini and it was very tasty and with their pina colada bubble teA! I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. I found it very delicious and light and refreshing. If you're looking for a Matcha, the Matcha flavor isn't very strong and it mostly tastes like an earl grey latte, but it is delicious and creamy. I ended up coming back and getting it again but with extra Matcha foam for additional Matcha flavor. Absolutely loved this drink. I also got a Matcha latte with black sesame cold foam. I've had a black sesame Matcha from somewhere else before, and the sesame flavor was very light, so that was what I was expecting, but was met with a very strong sesame flavor. I was not a huge fan as it felt overpowering and I couldn't taste the matcha. However, this is just a personal preference thing and if you like black sesame you should definitely try it! I'm not sure what much they used, but it didn't taste like the best quality, but it is still delicious and their drinks are all fun . The inside is small but and warm and cozy and they do have some seating. I was always able to find a spot. Super cute place with very sweet baristas.

Plenty of seating and places to work if you want to work there and they also sell pastries and take home items like beans, mugs, espresso cups etc. Definitely worth a visit if you are local in the Seattle area or visiting. Parking on broadway is a bit hit or miss but you can usually find a spot either on the main street or a nearby side street.

I really miss the previous staff, who were warm, friendly, and made a point to greet each customer who walked in. The two employees working today a man and a woman came across as passive aggressive when handing out drinks, especially if someone didn't hear their drink being called or asked a question. It made the experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. As a local, I expect better consistency and customer care. For some reason, you get a much better experience both in service and quality at Victrola on 3rd & Pine in Capitol Hill & Pike. At this point, I don't plan on coming back to this location.

If you have more than three people it's going to be hard to find a table, especially in the morning. I got the Biscoff Latte which was fine. It looked pretty but the latte itself didn't taste too much like biscoff and it was soggy towards the end. I would not recommend getting it; next time I'd try the matcha.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
