When I was pondering the menu, I met the owner who told me "no substituting" on the menu. I was skeptical but after trying the Fire-Bird was so good it literally changed my life. Imagine the years wasted on therapy when all I needed for internal happiness was a sandwich. It is casual, and dark themed which is great because the paparazzi won't be able to catch me stuffing my face. ANOTHER perfect coffee is their Vietnamese coffee, sooooo good.

Digging this ambient place!! We were greeted with smiles as we walked in, which is always nice. The worker was super sweet and patient with us (as we were a big group) I ordered a vanilla chai latte with almond milk, and their banana bread warmed up! Unfortunately, the chai was a miss for me. It had a watered down flavor, and the chai was very faint- I'm not sure if it's because I got it with almond milk though. The banana bread was yummy! There were some little chunks of banana inside which was a delight, and it was nice and moist. They also don't skimp out on the portion- that thing was big! This is a nice place to hangout and catch up with friends- we stayed awhile and played some board games. Such a welcoming place!!!

The ambiance of this building was very cool! Summer was the cashier who took my order she was extremely patient & Laura was there whipping up the good drink! If I were a local I'd be a regular.

This was a great spot for a little snack and pick me up. The server was very friendly and attentive when I asked questions about dietary restrictions. The vegan burrito and the matcha I had weee very tasty as well. It's a dog friendly spot and has a lot of character! Lots of regulars from the neighborhood here too.

I wanted a coffee shop near tourist-central and some place that isn't a chain. Found Caffee Zingaro. We all had a drink and a breakfast burrito. Definitely not cheap, but on par with the rest of the Pacific Northwest (how do you guys afford to live out there?) We each ordered our favorite coffee shop drinks: cappuccino (very good), vanilla rose late (very good), iced American (tasty but way too much ice - only about three sips and it was a very hot day - I really wanted some fluids not just ice cubes), and a London fog (way too bland and flavorless). We also got burritos. My fellow travelers had sausage and egg and I had the curry because I'm allergic to eggs. They were all ok but small for the price and not particularly inventive. While the drinks were fine and the food was food. The ambiance is nice and dark, there are plants growing, art is hanging on the walls, and charming dog companions there with human patrons. It's the quintessential old school Seattle coffee house vibe. It was a relatively quick walk to the touristy stuff. It's close enough to walk, but far enough to Uber if you want to save your steps for later. I'd go again.

Coffee is a dime a dozen out here but Caffe Zingaro zinged its way to my heart. Their broken umbrella latte was amazing. Soothing, refreshing vanilla cinnamon latte deliciousness on a cold rainy day? Can't be beat. The green tea latte tasted like any other matcha latte, I guess there's really only one way to make it. In other words, it's good, but I liked the broken umbrella more. They have pastries and food too but can't speak much to it, I did enjoy their chocolate chip muffin though. Held me over while I patiently waited for a proper meal later on in the day. So while everyone clamors over the OG starbucks or starbucks reserve, spend some time looking for quaint yummy coffee shops like these!

They have grade-A baked goods, a nice ambiance, excellent service, a cosmopolitan selection of latte drinks, and cute succulents for sale to boot. Would like to come back for their coffee drinks

My coffee choice...Mexican mocha and dog treats at the sugar/cream bar

Friendly mask recommend but not required coffee shop. Very friendly clerk that took our order and the coffee wasn't too bad either. I tried their specialty Mexican mocha and it was tasty. They have bakery items to choose from but I didn't purchase any. Sitting room is available. I'd visit again. The best was the dog treats at the cream and sugar bar.

My friends and I had purchased tickets for the Chihuly Garden & Glass Museum on a Sunday morning so we were looking to grab some coffee & a bite to eat beforehand. In searching for cafes within walking distance we stumbled upon Zingaro and thought the photos and menu looked promising. We met around 10:15 AM and it wasn't overly crowded. I ordered an iced matcha latte, apple strudel, and sausage burrito. Iced matcha latte: sadly this was quite disappointing. I saw the barista add a green/brown colored powder to the cup and didn't have a great feeling about the drink. Once I received the drink, it was missing the hallmark green color and clear matcha taste that I look for in matcha lattes. I asked if I could swap it out for a different drink and decided to order an iced broken umbrella. While I don't normally drink coffee due to a low caffeine tolerance, the broken umbrella was a huge step up from the matcha latte. The sausage burrito and apple strudel were ok! Nothing too special about either. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with Zingaro in terms of taste and quality. Thankfully, it wasn't too pricey, but I would likely opt for a different cafe in the future.

The staff are extremely nice and very caring to whatever request I made to the drink or service, one of the best coffee I had in Seattle.

The coffee was delicious especially with the house-made nondairy milk, but what really stood out was the frosted cinnamon roll, which was almost like candy. I am not sure if this happens during the busiest moments in the shop, but they did have staff bussing the tables, and one staff member actually brought us our order (I'd been listening for my name to be called and didn't hear it). It was a really nice touch with some really pleasant waitstaff.

They clearly care about their image as they offer a free mug for first-time customers with an email sign-up. The drinks here are ok, but they average between $8-$10 each. I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!

Both were delicious and definitely on the lighter side rather than a dark oolong. Crimson Mist leaned more earthy, while Golden Bloom was noticeably more floral. I mainly came for their premium kung fu tea, and honestly, the menu is overwhelming in the best way possible. I wanted to try everything. This time, I went with the Mountain Haze Green Tea. Grown at high altitudes, it's very light, smooth, and low in bitterness. The tea is steeped for you and served in a pot, and you can request multiple cups if you're sharing, which is a nice touch. Since green tea is a popular choice, here are a few extra notes. Dragonwell, typically from Hangzhou, has a nutty sweetness with subtle chestnut notes. Taichi Sprouts is milder and more grassy, but still carries a gentle sweetness. And if you're unsure what to order, Jasmine Green is always a safe bet, you can't go wrong with its classic floral aroma. Huge shoutout to Jessie for taking the time to clearly explain the different tea categories. I'll definitely be coming back, and next time I want to try their ice cream as well.
