This place is a great location. We were going to the Space Needle and stopped for iced lattes and breakfast burritos. They have a special so the price was very good too. It's small but there are seats near the window and near the register. That's the good. Now the bad. The table we sat at was pretty dirty and we had to pull out wipes to clean it. We went through 3 wipes. The food tasted like thawed out and microwaved breakfast. Actually microwaved grocery store breakfast would have been better. I didn't take a picture because I didn't think I would leave a review. But after eating half of it, I thought I owed it to fellow travelers to at least post about our experience. read more

Belltown has a lot of nice coffee shops to hang out at and this is one of them. It occupies the corner of a residential building. It has a clean, bright, refreshing, contemporary feel to it, which makes it a great place to escape to when Seattle's weather is dreary and also a great place to hang out at when Seattle's weather is nice, as the big windows let all the light stream in. We ordered an Americano and an iced dirty chai. Both were great. The woman behind the counter who served us was friendly and efficient. An added plus: the price of the coffee is very reasonable, especially given the quality. read more

I stopped by The Himalayan Coffee around 8 a.m. on a Monday morning. It wasn't very busy, and I really liked the clean, modern, and bright environment. The staff member was very friendly and patiently waited while I decided on my order. I ordered a latte and an almond pinwheel. The latte was the highlight. It was very rich and flavorful. The almond pinwheel was pretty standard; it was good, but not particularly memorable. I noticed they also had a large selection of beautiful macaroons and cakes (I want to try next time!). Went for coffee and to use some WiFi to explore my options. It's a very small store attached to some sort of apartment building or something of that nature... there aren't many seats so if it's prime time don't get your hopes up. I wasn't expecting this at all based on the images and reviews. But I made the best of it... the coffee was ok, nothing special. Tasted watered down. I had a macaroon after having a French toast Sammy. Do not get, mine was hard as a rock. It had no flavor and the "maple syrup" was non existent. First time here, and I was pleasantly surprised by their coffee. I tried the Irish Hazelnut Iced Latte and the Hazelnut White Chocolate; both were delicious, and the espresso definitely gave a nice kick. We also ordered two breakfast burritos: the chicken burrito and the egg burrito. The chicken burrito is the winner; the egg one wasn't quite up to the same quality. Five stars for Himalayan Java Coffee because: 1. Our barista Sammy, short for Samiksha, was super friendly and excellent. 2. The cafe's beans are organic and come from Nepal, in the Himalayas. They're grown and roasted there. Unique. 3. Revenues go to support Nepali farmers. 4. The Honey Latte with almond milk that I had was fantastic. It cost $5.45 for a small size (12 ounces). Great quality. The cafe's menu has a lot to offer including white coffee. Himalayan Java's white coffee is, according to their menu, "a low-temperature roasted coffee bean that is whitish in color with a higher caffeine and antioxidant content. It has a nutty and sweet taste profile." If we return, I'm going to try it. Most drinks are available in 12, 16, and 20-ounce sizes. The cafe also serves food: breakfast sandwiches ($7.99 each), breakfast burritos ($7.99 each), and paninis ($10.99 each). This location of Himalayan Java originally opened in July 2018 in Lynnwood. It relocated to downtown Seattle in August 2022, opening inside the ground level of the Spire luxury high-rise condominium building. The space is small, but very nice -- consistent with the luxe feel of the Spire property. Seating, inside and out, is limited. During our visit, business hours were 7am-6pm daily. Needless to say, I'm a fan of this place and recommend it. read more

Seattle AKA Coffee Capital?! You have earned your name! Himalayan is one of my FAVORITE Coffee Shops, and I'm so glad my bf lives a block away. WHITE COFFEE BEAN You read that correctly, but read it again-- not white coffee, but white coffee BEAN that they grind to make espresso. It has a distinctive, divine flavor that tickles your taste buds into the fourth dimension. The first time I tried it, I was immediately hooked. It wasn't sour bitter or dreadful like most terrible over roasted beans (no shade, maybe). I prefer my white coffee bean with sweeter drinks like the Raspberry or Lavender. If you want just OG latte or Americano, that works too. Besides drinks, they sell pastries and foods in reasonably priced combos etc. I've tried the cornettos/croissants pastries and they were fluffy, fresh, and crisp- chef's kiss Himalayan is connected to an apartment high rise with its own space for a few tables/chairs with a high ceiling. Bright and airy, how I like my cafe interiors. Service was always quick and friendly. I think it could be family run? This is my go-to coffee shop! Baristas are lovely and ensure you like your drink - I've asked for adjustments a couple of times and they happily added more/made a new drink for me. Prices are a little bit more than average, but the flavor is great. I come here often to work. There are a handful of booths and some table seating, as well as seats along the windows. I wish they had more outlets!! But that's my only qualm. Also a big fan of their food - I like the paninis and macaroons. I've also been that person drinking a glass of wine in the afternoon ;) read more

Cute little cafe in the lobby of a building in south lake union. There's a security guard at the door to the main building. Plenty of seating and free WiFi if you want to get work done. Chai latte was delicious with perfect spice level, made fresh and with oat milk for an extra dollar. Pastries are from macrina, a local awesome bakery. read more

Such a cute little coffee place in downtown! Perfect for meeting up with someone or wanting a quiet place to work/study. Not to mention the friendly barista. Came here to work for a few hours and ordered the zebra mocha with almond milk and it tasted great - the coffee is pretty strong and a bit overpowering in flavor but nothing too bad for true coffee lovers. On the way out I got an iced dirty chai and appreciated the barista asking if I also wanted that with almond milk. The dirty chai is also pretty strong in flavor. Note: Previous review, tips, and photos from Dec 2019 to Dec 2021 were associated with their former location in Lynnwood by Alderwood Mall. It was a serene getaway with spot on mochas and grilled sandwiches. It was very disappointing to see it closed Jan 2022. Fast forward to a few days ago, to see via Yelp that Himalayan Java has returned but in Seattle's Denny Regrade/Belltown area. It is bookended between Amazonia/South Lake Union and a stone's throw from the Space Needle and Seattle Center. I decided to purposefully stop by mid afternoon (8/20/22). It is located at street level associated with one of the newish downtown condo high rises at 6th and Wall, diagonal from City University of Seattle. Brings back memories from the time I worked at a company just two blocks away. My former café proprietor not present, but two other counter staff. Definitely found, as there was quite a lot of café traffic while I was onsite. Bright, airy, modern interior with counter and table seating available. There's the usual café menu items: beverages, pastries, sandwiches. But since it has later hours on some days (up to 9pm), I noticed they have wine bottles arranged on the shelves. My large iced mocha with tax & tip was pricey plus $3.50 for one hour of street parking...this was a bit of an indulgence for me. Looks like my accrued points carried over though from the former northend site. The iced mocha was refreshing, but had to be mixed thoroughly with my straw, yet found it a bit cloying. I'll have to either amp it up or dilute it at home. Better yet throw in some ice cream and make a mocha milkshake instead. Took awhile to even receive my beverage. Poor barista was five tickets behind, in the weeds in restaurant-speak. Thankfully, I paid for an hour of street parking. Plenty of time to wait, barely sipped this iced mocha, and was able to type out this post. Three nearby Belltown/Denny Regrade indie cafés succumbed to either turnover or the pandemic, so good to see this business emerge. It's a decent urban spot, but probably wouldn't return unless if I find myself in the vicinity again. read more

Writing this so others are aware of the price. I really enjoy that they have white coffee at this cafe, but the price is just exorbitant. I ordered an iced 16 oz white coffee zebra latte with oat milk and the drink came out to be over $9 and with tip came out to over $10. They only have 16 or 20 oz for iced drinks and oat milk is an additional $1 I believe. I understand inflation is high and Seattle is expensive, but wow. That is truly the most expensive latte I've purchased. The drink was good, but I can't justify paying over $10 for coffee. Staff was kind and welcoming. Love the open space. Quiet on a sunday morning for a coffee and pastry! I asked the barista for her favorite drink, and she recommended the Honey Latte. Honey Latte 5/5: So good! Coffee was very fragrant, milk texture was done well, and cinnamon+honey added a great note to the drink. Would definitely order this again! I don't know how this place has 4.4 stars, some of these reviews must have been paid for. First of all, the place looks gentrified and soulless, basically like the typical shop you'd find at an airport or mall. Second, the drinks are well below average, we ordered a Cappuccino and it was burnt, literally burned my partner's tongue. We then waited about 10-15 mins to see if it would cool down and it didn't, the coffee was ruined by probably overheated milk. Third, the vibe can be a bit annoying for work or reading since there's a residential lobby right next to the spot. Customer service was terrible, the employee did not want to exchange our burnt coffee even though it was clearly spoiled, she gave us an attitude and then made us a Chai after being very confrontational and noticing that we were about to leave. Matcha was average too. I'm very convinced that the positive reviews must be fabricated or people that live in the residential building, there's no way we as a community are rewarding this type of mediocre business when there are some many higher quality small local businesses that could use our help. I can already imagine that the people behind this don't care about anything other than the money. Never again. read more

This coffee shop is really spacious and nice to hang out. It has a variety of coffee to choose from as well as tea. I love the fact that I could also order food here, they have omelette and burrito, though mostly breakfast items. The staff was so nice and felt that she was always smiling and felt that she really liked her job. The place though is very neat and you can plug your electronics if you do use it to do some work.
