Food is excellent, we had Fettuccine Alfredo and Calabrian Chili and Burrata pasta. Service was excellent, very friendly. Homemade pasta that you can also buy. read more

Great food, amazing service, and a fabulous atmosphere! I have ALOT of food sensitivities, so it's really tough for me to eat out. The staff was extremely accommodating and understanding of my food sensitivities. They even created a special dish just for me! read more

Honestly some of the best food i've EVER had. I got the Rome sandwich and the sauce was GOD TIER. Everything tastes fresh and is homemade. Service was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. 10/10 recommend this place. Thanks so much Derek read more

Best pasta I've had in my life. No BS. I recommend the lemon ricotta with meatballs. Everything is freshly made and it was quick. Nice staff also. 12/10 read more

The food came out hot and super tasty. My family and I basically ordered everything pasta on the menu and after tying them all, non disappointed. (My favorite was the chicken Alfredo) The service was perfect our server Taylor was attentive and on it! Plus the owner would pop in and say hi, he was great! The restaurant itself was great too great vibes, very pleasant. I went while on vacation, and it was totally worth spending one of my 4 nights at. Would definitely come back. read more

Cafe Stella is a new gem in Flagstaff, offering cute and trendy decor and exceptional house made pasta. I tried the lemon ricotta pasta first, which was good, however for lemon being the first word in the title I felt like the pasta itself could have used more of the lemon flavor. The chicken margherita however, is amazing. It is packed with flavor and texture, although I do wish more of the pesto came through. Another thing that might be worth noting is both dishes seemed to be served almost room temp rather than hot. It doesn't necessarily take away from the food but it was noticeable and a little odd. I can't speak on the aperol spritz in the photo really because it was actually my first time trying one so it may just not be my kind of drink, but the lavender lemonade cocktail (not pictured) was pretty tasty! We also tried the tiramisu which was delicious. It is a little pricey but makes up for it in quality. The service here was interesting, our waitress was nice but maybe just a bit awkward? She had us choose our own table (not a problem just out of the norm) and seemed like maybe she didn't have much experience with serving. She also left for the night right after taking our order so no one really checked on us until we were done eating. This wasn't a problem for us as we are pretty easy going, and it may have just been an off night for the restaurant, but for those who like very attentive service this would not have been what you are looking for. I, however, actually don't mind being left alone as long as I have no issues with my food and I did not, so I will absolutely return to try more things (and get the chicken margherita again sometimes, to be honest - it's just that good). read more

Food is good, cute place. Told the waiter we were celebrating a birthday. We ordered drinks, they forgot one, the birthday person. We ordered an appetizer and it arrived in 2 minutes, then he took our order. Entrees arrived in 4 minutes. We were never asked about a 2nd round of drinks, we declined dessert and were headed for the door in 35 minutes total. From entry to exit. This after we took the time to make a reservation. While some appreciate a quick meal, this price point should not rush patrons out as fast as possible. Rude. Not likely to return given the host of great restaurants nearby that great their diners well. read more

Took an hour and 15 minutes for our food because our server forgot to put in our food order. Server apologized and told us a meal would be gratis for the inconvenience. When got our food my son ordered the beef ravioli and instead received a mushroom ravioli. He thought it was weird tasting beef until he realized it wasn't beef. We returned the dish once he realized. Server gave a bill removing the wrong ravioli dish but nothing gratis due to forgetting our order altogether. It made it uncomfortable as I had to ask him to remove a meal as promised. The pasta is decent but atmosphere has the old diner feel to it. Was hoping it would be good but sadly won't go back. read more

I must preface this by saying that I'm Italian & a cook. The majority of items on this menu will not be found in Italy. This is Olive Garden type of fare. Homemade pasta is always intriguing, yet this version is very heavy and gummy served with inappropriate sauces. The Italian dressing is bottled, not made in house. The kitchen's timing is off; pasta came out one minute after the salad. read more

We went for an early dinner on a Wednesday and had amazing service. I highly recommend the lemon ricotta pasta

We had heard great things about this new restaurant, however when we arrived we were told it was an hour and a half wait by one staff member, and there were only a few tables occupied. The second staff member then said "no it's ten minutes", right off the bat there was miscommunication. We took our seat outside, and ordered (two meals, and garlic bread) within ten minutes after ordering we watched two other tables get seated (Parties of two) . Both tables received their food , and garlic bread before my husband received his drink. We were then told they were out of garlic bread, although the two tables next to us received their bread ( the ones that ordered after us). So I assumed they lost or forgot our ticket, which is fine... if you own up to it and are honest. Which they were not. We received our meals after one of the tables that showed up after us had already closed out and departed. The others left shortly after we received our dinner. The waiter was the only one there, he was working hard, but never mentioned why our meal had been delayed. Had they made the right decision in the end, been honest and told us why our meals were on hold or given a discount for the inconvenience we would happily return. But that was not the case... and I suggest avoiding this place until they have better staffing. The pasta was not impressive either, not worth $20 a plate. read more

Excellent Negroni, good wine selection, delicious food and genuinely attentive service.

Great indoor and outdoor seating options. I have been for dinner and brunch now, and the food and drinks are hit or miss. I ordered their lemon ricotta pasta, and the arugula made it overly bitter. Their cannoli french toast was good, but my coffee and cream soda both tasted off. read more

We tried...As this is a local and family owned restaurant, we decided to give Cafe Stella another try since the first was just "so so". Since it was a Saturday night, I got online to make a reservation only for the app to indicate no reservation needed/no wait. We get there, place has several open tables; "hostess" asked if we had a reservation. We were immediately sat, and then sat for over 5 minutes before an employee (was he a waiter, we weren't sure as he finally saw us sitting there and came over to hastily take our order.) Another "waitress" finally asked us if we'd like something to drink and that was the last I saw of her. Another employee brought our Caesar salad which was basically chopped (wilted) romaine dripping with dressing. We hadn't even taken 2 bites of said salad before our dinners were literally dropped off - had to stop her to ask for bread which in itself was a joke since it came out after our dinner was nearly finished, not to mention it was soggy and served with what was supposed to marinara. Dinners: My husband had the Paccheri dish which was ok, a bit bland and the pasta was more al dente than cooked. I ordered the Margarita Chicken since it was supposed to be one of the more popular dishes. Not sure why, as it was again bland, dried out chicken, and worst of all was the COLD "bruschetta" topping. Nothing like taking a bite with a cold topping combined with warm, dry chicken and bland sauce. I ate just the chicken, scraping off the cold topping, leaving everything else in my bowl. I wasn't even asked how it was or if there was an issue with my dinner as it was barely touched. I know this pasta is homemade, but a traditional pasta is what most people prefer...and if spaghetti and meatballs is on the menu, that is what is to be expected, spaghetti noodles. Lastly, and I mean as in the last straw, was the espresso! We were given our check and were not asked about dessert or coffee (a typical Italian ending to a meal). We had to ask for espresso, which was FINALLY served in a cold coffee cup, no sugar on the side which again had to ask for. My favorite part was when the waitress (still not sure who is who here) brought me the sugar, she wasn't aware I did not have a spoon so again, had to wait for someone to walk by to ask for a spoon. PA-THET-IC. Yes, I am aware these are supposed to be authentic Italian recipes handed down, but I have yet to eat anything similar in Italy or at my own Italian families table. Yes, I am aware there are several regions in Italy that prepare dishes differently...but with LOVE. In my opinion, there is no love at Cafe Stella, just a few basic ingredients, a "fancy" shaped pasta and poor execution. I am truly sorry we did not have the second chance dinner we had hoped for. Sad but true. read more

Patio is great, atmosphere is great, service was nice. Was expecting higher quality for prices. Food was so bad. Bruschetta was very clearly store bought white bread with a single basil leaf. House made pasta was bland. Waste of space in downtown Flagstaff. read more

That marinara. Earns a 5 star on its own. However, the service and supporting a family owned business helps them fully earn the review. Wonderful spot - we will be back! read more

I had extremely high hopes to try out this new restaurant in downtown Flagstaff. As a long time resident, we love supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, our experience has left us non plussed. The food was dry with no flavor, the appetizer we ordered was overpriced and came with cheap garlic bread that didn't even have garlic on it. In addition we were out of bread and half a bowl of marinara remained. My husband ordered the creamy salmon and it was passable for salmon by lacked any cream. I ordered the lemon ricotta and it was also a small serving for the price and left much to be desired in terms of authentic Italian. The service was mid, but there was a young child serving and cleaning tables which I'm sure is against child labor laws. Very odd experience. Will not return! read more

Honestly Ive been scared to check this place out. The owner seemed kinda rude from the reviews i read but i decided to check this place out. I went a little while ago and wrote a review but forgot to post it. For starter we had to wait around for 2 hrs before we even got seated. But once we were seated we ordered and our spot was very cramped we had lots of people speed walk past us. Not sure whats going on with the wall decor but it was all over the place. For a italian restranaut it didnt seem that classy honestly olive garden has a better vibe. No italian music which was sad I had to put in my airpods to set the mood. The food was good the pasta was a little firmer than i would have liked BUT the salad was so pathetic. If you have time to put in the effort to make pasta from scratch you can put some effort into the salad. The salad was an absolute disgrace to Italians. It was iceberg lettuce and some watery red juice. There was no kids menu which was pretty disappointing some people can eat a full plate and simply just don't want to. Definitely wasn't my favorite place but would try it again. I would give this a one star but I know its a family owned business and i still have morals. Cant wait to see you improve! read more

This place is delicious. If you're looking for amazing handmade pasta after a long trip this is your spot! Great service as well.

First time at this Italian restaurant in Flagstaff. The location is in downtown Flagstaff just off the main square. They have a really good kitchen. Homemade pasta, lemon riccata, tasty marinara and arrabiato sauce. Our server Micheala took great of us. We enjoyed gelato for desert. All in all a great night for two couples. We will be back! read more

Very delicious food with wonderful staff! Great place to go when you're visiting Flagstaff

I love this little new quirky place. Great service, terrific pasta! Lemon ricotta pasta was wonderful; chicken Alfredo that hubs ordered was much loved. They have a good selection of wine and interesting cocktails. I only suggest to the chef to work on plating the bruschetta app: it came unconstructed, just a bowl of chopped tomato and one little leaf of basil and a stack of toast. We had to scoop the tomatoes on the bread and definitely needed more basil! Make it prettier, guys, but it was still tasty. I will go back again to this reasonably priced local restaurant. I'm local too and am glad cafe Stella opened giving us another choice from the overpriced Italian place around the corner. read more

I wish i checked yelp before eating here. The food was pricey and subpar but the service was great. Had the lemon recotta with chicken and the only flavor it had was the red chili flakes and the pasta had the texture of kraft mac nd cheese. Honestly really wanted to like the food here but was disappointed. The ambience, service, and the cocktails were great, would love to come back to this place to give it a second chance if only the chef knew how to cook. read more

Came here for the first time on 04/27/24. We arrived at 5:00 pm for an early dinner with a reservation. We were seated right away and offered drinks. It was fun to see a name plate with our name on the table. Nice touch. Started with the bruschetta. Yum! We also ordered the salmon dish & Lemon Ricotta. Shared both dishes with my sister. We both liked each dish equally. Amazing flavor and large portions. Service was incredible as various members of the wait staff checked on us. We will definitely be back! Thank you Cafe Stella for the great meal & experience. read more
