This Cafe is so cute and a whole vibe. They have a small side where they sell items. A bit in the pricy moderate side. I noticed all the workers are so happy and smiling. I love coming to a place where it seems the workers like where they are! My sister bought a maple salt matcha drink here. Immediately I noticed the matcha color wasn't to my liking. Good quality matcha is normally a dark vibrant earthy green, this was just a beautiful sage green. It tasted okay, maybe less than Mid. I couldn't really tell about the maple at all. Im giving this place 4 stars because even though I wasn't impressed by the drink itself, I was thoroughly impressed by the workers and the vibes there. Not only did I get to witness the workers' friendliness, I actually came back 30 mins later because my sister had spilled her matcha drink in her car and we didn't have paper towels. The bathrooms in this building only use the air drying machines (a con for me) and I asked the girls working if I could have some. They were so sweet, understanding and gave me extra what I needed, telling me if I need more please don't hesitate to come back. Now that's service! Tasty food, although I haven't tried it in a while, but the last time I tried this place I had a great experience.

I went in on Christmas Eve Eve when we came on vacation and had the best Dirty Chai I have ever had. When on vacation we try not to repeat any place so we can try many places. So one morning walk with our dog and we stopped in for a pup cup and a hot apple cider. We even went back for a 3rd time and had the campfire latte. So I say this everyone working there is so nice and kind. The drinks are amazing and I would highly recommend this place. Going to a place 3 times is a big deal during a short stop. Hardly write reviews but just wanted to give a shout out to the amazing staff here. We were here out of town and needed coffee. Most shops were closed in the bitter cold weather we were afraid we wouldn't be able to find something. So happy Mix coffee was open with welcoming smiles too. They are right in the center of Flagstaff downtown and Old Town shops. We ordered a Peppermint Latte and it warmed the soul. The cupcakes from Honey comb pastries were delicious & festive. I've been coming here for many years. I do miss the old setup how it was before. It was more focused on food and beverages. Now it's a smaller portion for food and beverages and a shop to buy stuff. It's great for tourists but it isn't the same vibe for us locals. With that being said the food and beverages are incredible here. I took a day trip to Flagstaff and was walking around and stumbled upon this coffee shop. The cashier seemed very bubbly but the customer service was very poor. I ordered a medium black coffee to go. She quoted me $4+ when the sign above her said a medium was around $3. She said yeah you got a large. I said oh I asked for a medium and she said oh well that's the price. I was super confused and shocked but her confidence made me just push through and pay for the coffee. I received a receipt and had a seat by the front station. I watched as she took multiple orders and those customers received their coffees without anyone calling for my coffee. I thought it was strange due to my coffee just being black with nothing added. I also assumed that maybe they had to make a new batch. Nope. They had put my cup to the side and didn't say anything to me and just let me sit there while I kept looking in their direction. I finally saw the cup and I asked after about 8 mins, is this mine? The same cashier said, "yep". I was believably upset at this point because the coffee was luke warm and not even hot. I unfortunately cannot recommend this place, not even for a simple black coffee. read more

Pretty crowded when we came on a Sunday around 11am but no wait. The food was great and also inexpensive. This is such a fabulous little spot in downtown Flagstaff. They are located in a little shopping mall type hall, surrounded by several trendy little shops. You'll walk up to the counter to order, and sit down where you'll wait for your food. Pre-COVID, you had the option for sit-in or take-out. They have a large selection of breakfast foods. Cute gifts and yummy chai latte. I did the 50/50 spicy and sweet and it was perfect. They do only have oat and almond for milk alternatives but if you're good with those, then highly recommend! We we're pretty bummed because we did come for hot food but they explained they don't do "the restaurant part" anymore. Still, good drinks, and yummy looking grab and go lunches. Order and the counter and they will bring you your food. Service is friendly. Rainbow veggie - I got this as a scramble, and when paired with two sides, it is a giant portion! Loaded up chock full of veggies, with a half avocado on top - very tasty. I loved the thick slices of sourdough toast, and I highly recommend the hash browns. They are fried up super crispy. Breakfast burrito was on the smallish side, and also does not come with sides - don't order this if you are super hungry. Overall, definitely recommend MIX for a more affordable breakfast. read more

In January, we went up to Flagstaff three weekends in a row. Each weekend, we came to MIX for breakfast and even came twice one weekend. Since I have been under the weather the last few days, I decided to stay in tonight while my boyfriend goes out with his friends to watch the UofA basketball game. Also spending some time to catch up on Yelp reviews. Getting back on track - this place is awesome! You walk up and order/pay and get a number to place on your table. On the weekend, you can get a mimosa for $2 more with your meal! What a deal! Where else can you get a $2 mimosa? I personally think the pancakes are awesome and so are their sausage patties. The deep fried French toast is pretty good but I still prefer their pancakes. My boyfriend loved the breakfast sandwich (with sausage patty as the meat). It's an open kitchen environment and the restaurant is located inside a little shopping mall area. Seriously a great place for an easy brunch in town with friendly service. Lunch for four here last week - it was good, not great. I had the chicken club wrap with avocado (see photo) and it was a good sandwich, but a little small. I really didn't like the way they have you pay your bill when you pick up your food. At a fast casual place like this, I want to pay when I order so that I can just relax - that's how most places do it. Service was OK, but I thought it took them a long time to make a wrap sandwich. We were there around 2PM, so it wasn't like the place was super-busy. They do have a good selection of lunch items - one member of our party is gluten-free, and she was able to find several selections that worked for her. I have been to The Mix several times. They have a unique setup for ordering and the restaurant is open, visible to the indoor mall. I enjoy their food and the options of sandwiches, soups and salads. I had a customer service issue today and was feeling a bit dissatisfied as I was eating my lunch (which was totally yummy), but John, one of the co-owners was making rounds at the table and asked me how everything was. I explained my issue and he thanked me for my input and rectified the situation on the spot! It was great to see that my opinion mattered! I also found out that their grilled cheese sandwich which was usually a Saturday special is now permanently on the menu...nothing BETTER than their grilled cheese with tomato soup! I will have to return soon for this taste of HEAVEN! They are a little pricey (that's why I am giving 4 stars), but everything is fresh and tasty so I think it's worth it. They also take plastic unlike some of the other restaurants in the area, so that's convenient. read more

This is the place you want to go if you're looking to get your health kick on. I love it when I can eat healthily and have a great tasting meal too. I would visit most often to get the Autumn Turkey Wrap for lunch but was super surprised to find out they also had amazing breakfast. Me and my family were looking for a quick bite well we waited for parade downtown we stumbled upon MIX and got the fam a quick breakfast. I wasn't surprised that it was amazing I was just surprised that I hadn't thought of eating breakfast there before. I think this will quickly become one of our family rituals to head downtown when we're hungry for some breakfast and grab a bite. I also love the location of this business. It is located in the old town shops in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. After you grab a bite to eat you can cruise do some really cool retail stores. My girlfriend and I ordered the mom's grilled cheese sandwich ($8.95) (which came with a bowl of chicken curry soup) and the chicken avocado club wrap ($8.95). Sometimes you just need simple food at a decent price. The wrap was very simple but it felt good to eat healthier. Avocado, grilled chicken, tomatoes, bacon bits - all very tasty! The grilled cheese was rich and the tomatoes were a nice touch which I had never experienced before, so I can appreciate that. 1.5 stars but rounding down since the good rating for this place is misleading. Came for lunch today and had a very underwhelming meal. Husband ordered the chicken avocado wrap. 2 stars. It was cold and therefore the tortilla was hard, even though the description said it's supposed to be wrapped in a warm tortilla. I ordered the special sandwich of the day which was the cubano. 0 stars. It was the worst waste of calories. It was tiny, the bread was so hard that you could knock on it, the pork was drier than an over-cooked chicken breast, and it was so overly cooked that the pork was crunchy. Epic fail. We also ordered the tomato basil soup. It was fine; nothing to write home about. The prices don't match the quality. I assume the high reviews for this place maybe for breakfast and their salads. This is a casual counter service breakfast joint with a indoor dining area in a small shopping center and an outside patio as well. Coffee, silverware, and condiments are self service. I got the deep dish French toast with strawberry shortcake topping. The French toast and in small bite sized fried nugget form and they did not taste fresh. The strawberry shortcake part was sliced almonds, syruped strawberries, and whipped cream. It came with two sides so I chose bacon and breakfast potatoes and both were very good.
