I loved that it's located inside a train station and that they had a really nice mix of local souvenirs tied to Flagstaff, Arizona, and Route 66. They had everything from magnets to postcards to puzzles and other little gifts. It was easy to find something cute to bring home for family and friends, and I picked up several items for to gift. The staff was also very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to sharing ideas for attractions, things to do, and places to visit around the area. Overall, it was a convenient and enjoyable stop, and a great place to get both local information and a few fun keepsakes.

There are actually 2 other shops that I know of within few blocks that carry the same things, only they have other stuff as well. The owners work here full time and they are friendly and helpful. We ended up purchasing some prickly pear cactus candy and their in house made mountain bark. Mountain Bark ($5.25 per square) - This is essentially an improved rice crispy treat crossed with fudge. There are tons of crispy popped rice bits interspersed with soft gooey marshmallows, some chewier melted white chocolate bits, and plenty of peanut butter flavor. It's a denser cake vs. a light and fluffy rice crispy treat, but is, dare I say, more delicious. (4/5) With such a wide variety of delicious treats, Sweet Shoppe Candy Store is definitely a great place to pick up some candy.

Of course, she was referring to Crystal Magic, in downtown Flagstaff (Arizona), on the corner of San Francisco Street and Route 66. Admittedly, I was not interested in coming here. But, I could tell that coming here would really make my daughter happy, so in we went. And, as disinterested as I was in coming here, I actually enjoyed looking around this store with my daughter. I think most of the people who come here do so because they believe in feelings or energy that emanates from objects, like rocks. To me, this sounds silly; but having the scientific mind that I do, I did get a lot of enjoyment out of the geological beauty of the items for sale here. Just imagining the incredible physical and chemical processes that produced these beautiful earth-made objects amazes me, along with how beautiful they can be. Looking around in this store was a real treat. It is not only incredibly well organized, but there is also something beautiful to look at in every direction. The owners here must have over a million dollars worth of items for sale here, all packed within this store. They obviously sell several types of precious crystals in multiple forms, but they also sell incense, candles, books, journals, wind chimes, and several other items. I was also pleased with the staff here, who were friendly and professional during my visit. If you're even a little interested in these types of things, Crystal Magic is a great place to shop. You should definitely check this store out if you're in the area. But if you do like the types of things sold here, and you do come inside, be prepared to drop some serious cash. They have a lot of great items for sale.

It's quaint, unique, and feels like a hidden gem everyone secretly knows about. What makes it extra special are the handwritten staff reviews on select books. Like actual little love notes telling you why you need to read something. It's way more fun than just reading the synopsis and it feels personal, and thoughtful. They also sell, adorable book accessories, kids' toys, and other cute knick knacks. There's even a small sale section, reasonably priced books, and some signed copies that are clearly marked. It's right by downtown, so super convenient, but definitely try to get there early because parking garages and street spots can fill up fast on weekends. Overall, it's giving cozy, and I truly loved how much personality those handwritten reviews added. It just made the whole experience feel extra special and memorable.

They went and found what they thought was the replacement I needed....$8 each. I went home and replaced the bulb to find out it was less than half the brightness of the other bulbs in the lamp.....there are nine bulbs in the lamp. I had purchased nine of these bulbs because I didn't want to go through this again. I returned to the store to learn that they could not replace the bulb I needed and they WOULD NOT GIVE ME CASH BACK.....store credit only. To summarize, they gave me the wrong item, couldn't get the right item, and wouldn't give me my money back. NO RETURNS IN THIS STORE FOR ANYTHING BUT STORE CREDIT.....EVEN IF THEY GAVE YOU THE WRONG ITEM!
