So, my daughter and I are driving through Flagstaff while on a mini-vacation, and all of the sudden I hear her say "OMG...we have to go to that store!" Of course, she was referring to Crystal Magic, in downtown Flagstaff (Arizona), on the corner of San Francisco Street and Route 66. Admittedly, I was not interested in coming here. But, I could tell that coming here would really make my daughter happy, so in we went. And, as disinterested as I was in coming here, I actually enjoyed looking around this store with my daughter. I think most of the people who come here do so because they believe in feelings or energy that emanates from objects, like rocks. To me, this sounds silly; but having the scientific mind that I do, I did get a lot of enjoyment out of the geological beauty of the items for sale here. Just imagining the incredible physical and chemical processes that produced these beautiful earth-made objects amazes me, along with how beautiful they can be. Looking around in this store was a real treat. It is not only incredibly well organized, but there is also something beautiful to look at in every direction. The owners here must have over a million dollars worth of items for sale here, all packed within this store. They obviously sell several types of precious crystals in multiple forms, but they also sell incense, candles, books, journals, wind chimes, and several other items. I was also pleased with the staff here, who were friendly and professional during my visit. If you're even a little interested in these types of things, Crystal Magic is a great place to shop. You should definitely check this store out if you're in the area. But if you do like the types of things sold here, and you do come inside, be prepared to drop some serious cash. No trip to flagstaff is complete without a visit to crystal magic! So many beautiful and fun things to look at. Great ideas for gifts! We brought our four year old daughter here and she absolutely loved it. We have a tradition of buying a new Christmas ornament each year and made that annual purchase here this year. My friend and I had a great experience while shopping here while visiting Flagstaff. There was so much variety in what we could buy and the staff were exceptionally helpful. I want to give a special shout out to Eve who was helping us at the jewelry case - such excellent service, patience, and support when stuck in pits of indecision. I am very disappointed with my experience this time. Last time I couldn't shop because I had my pup with me. So my husband and I came back to shop. I was looking for owls and some crystals. We walked in and my husband went his way to explore and went my way to look around too. I felt uneasy because the store employee kept following me around. At first I thought it was probably a coincidence but every time I moved to a different area the employee moved to the same area. Then she switched off with another employee who did the same thing. They just kept looking at me, they didn't ask if I needed help or anything. I didn't need help, I felt so uncomfortable. I was the only brown one in the store at that time. I wonder if they follow other brown people around too. I know they didn't follow my white husband around. They didn't see me come in with him because once I got together with him to show him something they baked off. I wanted to buy their Goddess piece and their owl candles but I did not want to give my business to two white females that clearly didn't feel comfortable with me in their store. I don't know much about crystals.. but this place makes me want to get educated! Crystal Magic is a locally owned spiritual shop in Flagstaff. The store is jam packed with crystals and other spiritual accessories. Some of the items you'll find here include jewelry, meditation tools, herbs, oils, and tarot cards. You could also easily spend hours here exploring the crystal collection and learning about each of their metaphysical properties. I ended up taking home a selection of four for my parents, including two that are shaped like hearts! Highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in Flagstaff or Sedona! Bought a ring from this store and the stone literally fell off within a month of purchasing. When I went back to try to get any type of help with this issue I was greeted with a very rude and dismissive women that told me she can not help me in any way. No finicial compensation was offered and no sorrys were said. I do not know where they get their jewlery from but their pieces are obviously of poor quality and way too expensive to be breaking, especially from only about 4 wears. I used to be a returning customer but now will never be back and I hope you take my advice and save your money. Old Highway Trading Post on Route 66 has better rings of higher quality that are affordable. read more

This store is epic to look at crystals, stones, statues, mandalas, prayer beads, divining tools, and any sort of spiritually minded beautiful gifts. We spent well over an hour in here and there were so many things we wanted to buy, but we are trying to cut back on consuming things we do not need, trying to simplify and enjoy what we have while we find magical things we have that we can pass on to others to make them smile. It was hard not to want to buy in here though. Also, the prices are high, for sure but it's all so beautifully merchandised that you almost don't care. They really highlight and display all the different stones and gems in a way that you can appreciate them all. We love Ganesh and there were so many Ganesh statues of all sizes. It was a very fun experience although we left without buying anything. LOTS of other people in the very crowded store on a Tuesday afternoon, were buying. This was our first time into the store even though we go to Flagstaff every year, we always end up seeing it so close to 6 PM and it's either already closed or closing so this year we made it a priority to go in. I'm glad we did. Honestly, I may go back someday and buy one of the crystal and stone magic wands. Do we need that at all, on any level? Absolutely not, but we have thought about a couple of them, and how they felt in our hands several times since our trip. This is my favorite store in Flagstaff and we always stop in at least once when we are visiting from Tucson. This store is absolutely beautiful inside and makes we so happy when visiting. I have purchased many beautiful stained glass window hangings, crystals, essential oils and other items from here. Normally, the staff that works here is extremely welcoming and friendly and will do anything to help. I was left a little disappointed today when we stopped in and weren't greeted or even acknowledged at any point by any of the staff or owner. There was a beautiful mermaid stained glass hanging that I wanted to get along with a giant standing wooden buddha, but all the staff (3-4 women) seemed too busy chatting with a customer at the front register instead of wanting to assist others. We finally walked out without buying anything and are not sure if we will ever be back. If the owner reads this, you might want to be more welcoming to all customers that walk in your store and not just to a select few that you feel are going to buy a lot. read more

Love this crystal shop! This is one of the largest crystal shops I've been in and it has a quite impressive display of every stone imaginable. The crystals and stones are beautifully displayed on glass shelves, with different types of shapes and sizes to suit your budget and liking. What I especially liked about this store that they don't do anywhere else I've been, is that they give you a description of stones you are buying! I would give this place zero stars. I came here to shop for some crystals and I was followed around the store. It was kind of upsetting that I was racially profiled and I've never experienced that in my entire existence. Especially in a spiritual place where good energy and inclusivity is encouraged. My husband and I took a day trip out to Flagstaff with some of our friends, I was so excited to come in and see all the crystals and what was available. I'm pretty's disappointed in the pricing, I felt that the pricing wasn't very consistent and some pieces were overpriced. I get that Flagstaff is touristy but I definitely would've bought more if the pricing was more accurate. There were no staff members walking around to assist, they were only behind the counter. The store felt very crowded, not a lot of room to turn and walk but there's so much in the store that you want to be able to take your time (but you do feel rushed). I did end up buying a few pieces that I felt were reasonable and I enjoyed that the staff gave you little sheets of what crystals you bought so you could remember their information. One star for customer service. Came in with a group of 4, there were 4-5 employees working that day and none of them offered to help even as we scooted near the jewelry case peering into the pieces. If they were smart that would be their cue to actually do their job and help patrons. I was going to buy a little souvenir for my way home and this seemed like the perfect little shop to bring something home but the lack of customer service or effort prevented me from wanting to invest in something here. I have always been into all things New Age and I have always loved me a good ghost story or a late night looking up into the sky for aliens but for whatever reason I was never into crystals. This all changed when my grandmother gave me her collection of crystals that she has had since I was a small child. I was so happy to get them and I assigned each crystal a special plant to watch over in my garden. One of my biggest plants from last year (jalapeno) was so big and must have produced 200 peppers had a certain crystal in it and just for fun decided to see what that crystal was known for and to my huge surprise it was known for helping the garden thrive! Once I told my wife about this she and I were hooked. We know pop by the crystal shop every other month and try to find something new to buy or something fun to try. For an extra treat you should try to find the episode of The Dead Files and watch a 2 hour episode of Flagstaff hauntings and it all starts here at Crystal Magic! When we went to pay our total came out to about $75 and the older white lady that checked us out asked to see my ID to make sure that my name matched on my debit card. However this place is very fascinating. They have a wide variety of stones available to buy, which have many different meanings depending on what they are made of. In addition to that, they have a wide variety of books, idols, and other mysticism related things. In addition to that, they have shelves of books on subjects ranging from spiritualism and the power of crystals. A few drawbacks, first, the customer service was atrocious. When I asked a woman for help regarding the crystals, she was not very helpful. In addition to that, the smell of incense was very intense to the point where my eyes watered as I made my way out of the shop.
