I stopped at Lund before the drive back from our weekend trip. The great reviews pulled me in and they didn't disappoint. The parking out front is limited but we lucked out and found a close spot. The inside is pretty small but I'd imagine is still a great working space. The cashier was super friendly and even offered a military discount on my order which was amazing. I opted for their Samoa latte and a cinnamon roll to go. Both were great! The cinnamon was just the right amount of ooey gooey and the latte was very well balanced. Guys guys guys... (Owners mayhaps) They don't sell DRIP coffee. Just like. A black coffee.... They are unable to drip. At a coffee shop. They WILL sell you a SEVEN DOLLAR POUR OVER though. Or you can get an Americano- which is not a drip coffee despite the barista's suggestion. Also- it only comes as a 16 oz. If you say 'hey- that's too much coffee, can you give me a smaller one?' They'll say no, that's their 'recipe' (the most pretentious explanation for literally POURING water over coffee beans) and suggest that YOU just dump some out. No but see, I want oat milk and cinnamon in my $7 drip coffee so if I need some poured out and the perfect ratio with the milk then I'd probably not be the one to do it unless I can come behind the counter & also adjust my milk? $16.15 for a small oatmilk latte and a pour over. They'll also tell you that it'll take longer for your pour over, you'll say "hey maybe just nevermind the whole thing." To which they'll struggle to not glare at you. So you say oh no worries of course I'll wait more than the standard ten minutes. And finally- they don't even make their own syrups. To charge $7.50 for a latte and not make your own syrup is criminal. There's way too many actually good (and fast) coffee shops in flag for this. I'll be at Foxtail thanks! read more

Exceptional espresso. While making my drive from Amarillo Texas, a pit stop in Flagstaff made for a great opportunity to refuel both on petrol and caffeine. Looked up nearby coffee shops and Lund dropped the pin. Parking is easy. Curbside. Walked in and was greeted by the barista. I was feeling for a latte and so I took to their menu. Simple but bean forward, clean but with a depth. Enter the Queen. I opted for Oatmilk as I prefer the nutty undertones and there was no extra charge. I that's a BIG win. There's great local art on the walls, most of which are for sale. Prices overall for a latte a bit steep which is why they got a FOUR and NOT a FIVE star from me. I believe offering an exceptional product with a price that still leaves room for the customer in the value space is key. Crave a latte or do some interior home redecorating, Lund is prime. Do it. Very cute cafe with friendly staff! As soon as I entered this coffee shop, I immediately felt so cozy and I loved that staff here are so friendly. We got to try matcha, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches, everything was good. And it was so cool that they gave matcha in a mug, and to be honest, my small matcha seemed to have more portion in this mug. Also breakfast sandwich was yummy, lox bagel was so good! Came here on a visit to Flag, recommended by a regular. It wasn't too busy when my friend and I arrived, but definitely buzzing with life. The cashier, who also happens to be the owner of the place took our order and was very personable! It didn't take long to order and the workers brought us our food. The lobby was sooo cozy, they played the best music and everybody was either catching up with friends or doing homework. I'll be honest, I do have chains that are my favorite, but this place has the best coffee I've ever had. I forgot to mention, they will substitute milk on any special item for no charge! I was excited to come there but unfortunately was a let down. Staff is nice and they have cool art for sale. The vibes are good but I've had better coffee. I got the violet. The oat milk was very overpowering and the lavender syrup was like soap. I unfortunately had to toss my drink. I do feel confident that I would've had better luck with their matcha or something more classic. What really bothered me is the way the barista put the drinks out. She puts it on the mat, lid off. She places the lid upside down on the counter and I watched her fingers touch the inside of each lid every time. If youre going to put out drinks without a lid, at least let customers get their own instead. read more

Lund Canyon Coffee is a cozy coffee shop with unique drink offerings. My Bf and I visited during a weekend Flagstaff trip and were impressed with the coffee and tea options. We ended up ordering the Violet and the Greek. The miss was how long it took us to get our drinks. We waited at least 20-25 mins for our coffees. Granted it was a busy Saturday morning, no coffee wait should be this long. Lund could learn a thing or two from the chain namesakes - who handle higher order volume but with a fraction of the wait. Not sure I would personally return for this reason; but if you're looking for a unique coffee experience, I do recommend checking this place out. read more

Super nice and quaint place. My dear friend recommended it during my visit to Flagstaff and I am glad I was able to try it. Be informed they close at 2 pm on Sundays, and 5pm the rest of the week. My first attempt to visit was on a Sunday and they were already closed. Luckily I was in the area again shortly after. The staff was super friendly. I ended up trying a Strawberry Matcha. I enjoyed it (Sedona, I think it was called). The seating area is very unique with mismatched chairs and things like that. They have art for sale throughout. Friendly staff. We were just not a fan of the flavors and quality. The beans tasted sour from the americano. The matcha is grainy and way too sweet from the honey. Wish there was an option to add individually. The Clementine Orange essence dark chocolate mocha from the speciality menu was really bad. I've had similar in a dark chocolate form but the execution was not good... only took less than 10 sips and could not finish. The clementine orange essence leaves a bitter after taste and there was no depth at all. It felt very liquidly and flat. Sadly I will not try again when in flagstaff :( read more

I was traveling through Flagstaff and stopped in based on reviews. Totally worth it! I ordered a cortado coffee hot and a blueberry muffin. The coffee was delicious and had great coffee notes with the warmed milk. The muffin, however, stole the show. Not overly sweet or floury, it tasted like real blueberries. The sweet man who helped me warmed the muffin and gave me a little plate and fork that were needed because the muffin was so delicate. Fresh blueberries throughout and toasted walnuts with a sprinkle of cinnamon flavoring on top... heaven. It was not a giant cupcake like consistency, it tasted fresh and homemade. Perfect pairing for a cold and rainy Flagstaff morning. The store itself is very cool with a lot of art and jewelry to look at and great music playing.
