In an unassuming strip mall but don't let that fool you as the inside is adorned with beautiful photography and the coffees are delicious. Nice place to hang out and get stuff done while enjoying a latte because their wifi is fast too. I stopped in for a cup of coffee on my way out of Flagstaff. It's a popular place! I shared a cappuccino and a Flagstaff Fog with a friend. I love Earl Grey tea and was pleasantly surprised that the Flagstaff fog captured the flavors beautifully. Usually London Fog lattes drown out the Earl Grey flavor with the milk, but this one did not. Highly recommend! The inside of the coffee shop was really clean. The workers were extremely friendly. I didn't like my first order so she redid it for me for free which was so sweet of her. I just got a drip coffee with maple syrup and whole milk. My boyfriend ordered a hot plain latte. Overall, the beans were 7/10, little bit too acidic for me. But the presentation was 10 out of 10!! What a beautiful and contemporary place. My husband and I were headed out of town and stopped in for a tasty espresso drink and breakfast. We ordered a vanilla latte and a flat white and both were great. The espresso was nice and smooth! Not bitter at all. The breakfast sandwich was good. Last time I was there it was two years ago but they have since exploded into the larger space next door with lots of seating and now a kitchen and lots of new drinks. (Build it and they will come!) They have a single-origin roast for espresso, which I love as an option, me being an espresso aficionado. The price for an americano is absurd but what follows is even worse. It's a dual light roast mixed with a dark roast and all you get on the finish is the dark. Dropped by to pick up food and some coffee. Originally wanted to sit in the outdoor area with our dogs but it started snowing. I tried the cardamom rose latte. The coffee itself is delicious and it was an interesting flavor combo but I couldn't taste any of the rose at all. This was really disappointing.. I'm not sure if they forgot to add the rose syrup. I got a vegan burrito with cilantro crema and it was delicious! Very flavorful and filling.. I could barely eat half. Hubby got the veggie and egg English muffin sandwich and really liked it. However, I also ordered a latte, and that one didn't quite hit the mark for me. It tasted mostly like warm milk, with very little coffee flavor coming through. I was hoping for a richer espresso presence, especially considering how great the cold brew was. That said, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. My husband and I absolutely love our Single Speed Coffee on our recent trip to Flagstaff. The oat latte is perfectly balanced and on point, and my husband's Rose Cardamom earned his heart who is not normally a big fan of coffee. lol. The baristas were also really nice and helpful. As I had hard time making a decision for my food, they were very patient with me and offered help suggestions. The space is also really nice. I'm visiting from San Diego, California, and before coming to Flagstaff, AZ, I checked Yelp and TikTok to see which coffee shops were highly recommended. First off, I'm not a new coffee drinker. I own several coffee setups and regularly make my own espressos and lattes at home, so I know what a good latte should taste like. Because this shop roasts its own beans, my expectations were high. I ordered one hot latte and one iced latte. Unfortunately, both drinks tasted like something you'd get from Starbucks--very milky and bland. I could barely taste the espresso. While drinking my hot latte on the way back, I honestly questioned whether they actually used double espresso shots as stated on the menu. The iced latte was nothing special either. I've had much better coffee elsewhere, which is disappointing considering I stopped buying coffee out after getting my own espresso machine. What really sealed my regret was purchasing their coffee beans. When I asked when the beans were roasted (since there were no roast dates listed on the bags), the barista replied, "Even though the roasting date is not on there, they were roasted within a week." That felt like a very vague answer, or maybe he genuinely didn't know. To make it worse, another barista chimed in with unsolicited advice saying, "I would just wait one more week before using the beans." That honestly made no sense--why would I wait to use freshly roasted beans I just bought? Lol. Customer service was overall just "meh." Nothing outright rude, but not confident or knowledgeable either, which is surprising for a place that prides itself on roasting their own beans. I highly recommend reading the low ratings first--now I understand why they're there. Definitely not worth the hype, and sadly, not a place I'd return to or recommend to serious coffee drinkers. read more
