I regularly road trip and Flagstaff is one of my longest stops. I take around an hour to take a bathroom break, fill up my take and of course grab a drink at Starbucks. This is my regular choice because it's pretty close the the freeway on ramp. There's plenty of searing. It's clean and the staff is always kind and helpful. The bathrooms at this location are always clean and it's one of the reasons I choose to make the stop. They've also got WiFi and a drive thru! read more

I've only been to this location a few times, but when I go inside I feel awkward. I'm not welcomed the way I am at other Starbucks locations that are inside grocery stores. They are knowledgeable about the drinks when I have questions so for that I really appreciate it. They aren't full stocked on the floor with different coffee either, they only have a lot of the holiday stuff. So I had to ask for the Pike Place I was looking for. I didn't know the coffee came in whole beans, so I had to go back in and ask for it to be grinned. The person helping me seemed a little annoyed. I wish they would ask if we need it grinned or not when we purchase, that would help any confusion customers may have if they aren't familiar with Starbucks. Drinks, food, and service are generally great at this location - unless you order your gold member free refill. My wife and I were on a road trip when we stopped at Starbucks for a couple of venti chai's and a trenta iced green tea. Sara, a pleasant barista and Coffee Master, informed me her training was to require customers to drink their beverage (my iced tea) and present an empty cup before she would allow a free refill. I explained this is not Starbucks policy, offered my phone for her to read the actual policy, but she stedfast and later allowed me to have a free refill. I told her this undocumented requirement surprised me coming from her knowing she is a Coffee Master. Wish I could give zero stars. I have never in my life been kicked out of a starbucks for not ordering anything immediately. Me and my boyfriend were sitting inside for 10 MINUTES doing work on our laptops. A girl came up to us and rudely told us we needed to leave. Sorry I didn't order anything right away?? Is it not my right to sit inside??!! We were going to order food and drinks after we submitted some emails, but turns out it's a crime to not order food asap. So terrible and inhumane of this girl. Wish I knew her name but she had brown hair, super uptight. As we were leaving we noticed they also called the cops on a homeless man who came into the shop and even ordered himself a drink! The workers here are terrible. They also wouldn't even give us water until we ordered something in this heat. What a joke. Sad because we've been doing work at the one right down the road the past couple days and wanted to change it up. Guess I should have stayed where we were. On NOV 11 the guy double charged me at the drive thru register. My order was 11.12$ i paid with a gift card,( which had 15$ on it.) somehow the guy said i still owe 14.12 and we were in a hurry and our dogs started barking so i gave him my credit card and even tipped 2$. Then driving home to phx i realized my gift card was charged 11.12 the full total and my credit card also. This was around noon on 11/12 i rememebe the associates name. I have had to call customer service 3x and still dont have a refund. I called the store 10 mins after it happened and they couldnt do anything because their manager was not there. Terrible experience, its not about the money yet about the principle, if it was a mistake by the cashier thats okay, but why has been 10 days and no refund yet? By default, I frequent this Starbucks often. My wife, like many others frequents Target and in order to check off the shopping list, a latte is in order. I have to say, most of the time the employees are kind and attentive. Some we've even had very nice conversations with. The downside is, for whatever reason, they tend to be out of things more often or their equipment is down... not sure why this is or if it's normal but what a bummer to want an iced latte and to be informed the espresso machine is down! We like multiple drinks so we can make do but I feel like this happens more often here. But, in all honesty, if they are open and you're shopping, you know you need a coffee to accompany your red basket! read more

I absolutely LOVE this Starbucks!!!! I moved here to college about two years ago and this store specifically have been the most welcoming group of people I have EVER met. I do my daily walk to here every morning and as soon as I step foot into the building I am greeted by everyone (no matter how busy they are) and as I leave the store everyone yells "have a great day! Thanks for coming in!" They are so friendly for being at a such a busy and hectic store location! This morning I went, and they have someone taking orders outside?!?! Don't ever order this Starbucks from any delivery service. They don't actually pay attention to what you order. They charge you for extras but don't actually include of them. If you order anything other than the basic drinks, you'll need to go to order in person as they clearly don't employ anyone who fulfills delivery orders who has any ability to pay attention to detail. read more

Dysfunctional, dystopian and overall odd place to try to grab a coffee. Good luck getting out of there in less than 25 minutes. I guess I should have went to Target, bought a bag, coffee maker and made my own in my hotel room. There were 17 people besides me when I left and 5 employees. Typically Starbucks will do a drip coffee without question, but I was met with a stern no from Isaac and another employee. I guess it's a good thing to keep the COVID spirits alive and have as many people shoved into one place. For such a progressive company like Starbucks to establish a new corporate policy (per the two employees) and to not pour the simple coffee is an odd decision to say the least. I had to wait behind myriad specialty drinks, online orders and more. I get it, I was indeed after them, but I've been a patron of Starbucks for years and it's always about getting the drip coffee orders out the door. Even though I don't live in Flagstaff, Arizona, I've come to know this particular Starbucks reasonably well. As some of my readers may know, I travel on my bike between Las Vegas and Texas at least twice each year. I've been doing this for five years, so twice (or more) annually in both directions, I guesstimate a minimum of 20 plus visits. What strikes me is I never see the same workers, meaning there is a high turnover rate, which I don't usually consider a good sign for any business. However, Flagstaff is a college town, so that may explain the higher than average rate. As a result, there isn't a lot of consistency with the quality of coffee, but I still consider Starbucks the best and most reliable tasting coffee. Because of its location, this Starbucks is frequented by travelers more than most. As we all know, travelers care less about dropping things on the ground, or their cleanliness when it's not their home ground. The bathrooms here are also in questionable condition for the same reason. As a result, this Starbucks isn't as clean as most, and the employees should be cleaning more frequently and diligently. The bottom line with this Starbucks is easy to see. Its patrons tend to be "travelers" like myself, therefore less clean (of course not me), and it's bustling with business all day. Translation; ownership needs to address the manifestations of the high traveler rate and ensure that the employees deal with the unique issues that come with it. If they do, I would assume another star would not be far off. read more

I ordered a drink and paid, waited and never got it, kindly asked for it and then was accused of being a LIAR when I asked the lady at the cash register for my coffee. Ive never wrote a review in my life, but this is the most pathetic and rude experience I've ever had dining anywhere which is why this is lengthy. I went with a friend and we both ordered food and a coffee today at around 11:30am. My friend got both her food and coffee but I only got my food so after 15mins when we finished eating, I went up to the girl working at the register and kindly reminded her that I order coffee and I never received it (people after me were getting their drinks and it wasn't super busy inside. I literally only ordered a hot grande coffee with soy milk). was super chill about it, things happen, I didn't get my coffee, oh well. She then responds and claims she made my coffee and CLEARLY remembers handing it to me and said something along the lines of, "funny, I usually have perfect visual memory" (I clearly remember her saying "funny"). SHE WAS CONVINCING ME SHE GAVE ME MY COFFEE WHEN SHE NEVER DID. She seemed defensive. I then responded saying that I never got a drink and I don't have my drink with me lol like what else do I say??? (and my friend and I where sitting in the store eating so she could literally look and see that I had NO drink with me). I started feeling extremely uncomfortable and I wanted to CRY and just leave Starbucks at this point cause it was getting really weird and felt almost personal. Her snarky remarks were too much so I told her to forget about my drink, and it's fine I don't want it anymore. She then went to make it while still making snarky remarks!! I literally did nothing!! LOL I JUST WANTED MY DRINK. Super odd lol, one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had. I THOUGHT I WAS ON A PRANK SHOW AT ONE POINT LITERALLY. What sets a Starbucks location apart from all the others? Cool staff, that's what. We recently stopped here on our way from Sedona to Cortez, Colorado. We enjoyed free wifi for a work phone call (boo!!!) but the cold tea and hot latte soon had us refocused on vacation priorities. Obviously staffed by a group of well versed college baristas here, the service was fast and efficient. Excellent!! Our drinks are delivered with a smile and name call out, and we began sipping and relaxing right away. This is a nice sized Starbucks location, with plenty of seating, floor to ceiling windows, and plugs for our iPads. Nice!! We were able to catch up briefly on all of our emails and social media posts before hitting the long ribbon of highway 89 to Cortez. This particular location can definitely can very busy (it is, after all, one of the top two most busiest Starbucks in Arizona) but the service has always been up to par with all of the other Starbucks location I have hit up in my time. The drive thru is generally very quick and the inside is also very quick. Although my order has been made wrong a time or two, they have always been very friendly and quick about getting it fixed. I like trying custom items like Thin Mint fraps (a green tea frap with blended mocha and java chips) and other fun little iced tea mixes. The inside is also a nice little spot to hang out and is great for free wi-fi. read more

I have been to many starbucks across different states in much more busier locations than this one and never have I seen one as dirty and unkept as this one. The bathroom was dirty with a broken stall and brown water on the floor? There were spills in different parts of the store floor that from the moment we walked in to the time we walked out were never addressed. The counter was sticky covered with straw wrappers which I threw away. The staff were more interested in talking to one another rather than getting out our drinks and obviously more so then cleaning up.
