Visitor from Bay Area, I always thought boba shops outside the Bay would be cheaper -- until I came here. A popcorn chicken + drink combo was $18, where similar combos back home are usually $10-$15. A regular milk tea runs about $7, and upgrading from medium to large costs additional $1.40, the upside doesn't really seem bigger enough for the price, even the most expensive boba chains in the Bay Area don't charge that much. We ordered the green tea and peach mojito, and both were just okay -- nothing special to justify the higher prices. Overall, I'm not sure why everything here is so expensive given the quality.

This is such a cute cat-themed boba shop! The Sono signature milk tea and jasmine milk tea were pretty good, and I also liked the salt & pepper popcorn chicken (especially with the mayo sauce). I loved all the cat-themed apparel, stickers, and cups. The cat drink stickers were so cute, I had to get a couple of the matcha ones.

Tried their Japanese Calamari this time and asked for no salt sprinkle on top. They were kind to give me the seasonings on the side. The last time we tried the popcorn chicken and tofu, they were too salty. Flavor was good even without the salt! Very crispy and tasty. Calamari is now $12.95 + tax which is quite pricey but there isn't much of other options here in town unfortunately.

This boba fiend had to try a new spot on a weekend trip :) I love the flavor options; they're unique in my opinion. It was hard to choose one but I went with the dragon fruit refresher with crèma. It was definitely refreshing and the boba is cooked well. My boyfriend got the taro drink and he liked his as well. We will be back someday to try more flavors.

The area is very spacious for a small cafe style place. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It is a bit pricey though. The food overall was yummy, I think the noodles were a bit on the sweeter side though and could ha e used a bit more tang or garlic/ginger flavor. Overall a nice treat once and a while. Had plenty left over. The Boba was perfect though!

Stopped in here on a whim on the way back from Colorado with my boyfriend and I'm glad we did! The inside had such a cute aesthetic and the lady who took our order was so nice and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed my boba drink, the popcorn chicken and main dish we got were all a hit!

I recently discovered Sono Kitchen and Boba in Flagstaff, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots. Ambiance is vibrant and clean. The menu is a unique blend of Asian-inspired dishes and a variety of boba drinks, which made it hard to choose just one thing! I ordered the popcorn chicken and a classic Thai tea boba, and both were outstanding. The chicken was seasoned with salt and pepper with crunchy texture, while the boba was wonderfully chewy and just the right level of sweetness. I also loved the unique boba flavors, like matcha lychee and taro coconut. Service was quick too. Tips - Located on the main street near Northern Arizona University.

Nice to see Taiwanese options in Flag! Came in on a Thursday night and it wasn't busy but not empty either. Casual spot for boba and Taiwanese snacks. Ordered the popcorn chicken and salt pepper tofu. We got the popcorn chicken first - nice and tender but tooo salty. Not sure why there was a dipping sauce with it as it's not needed or authentic. A well spiced and fried popcorn chicken and fried basil is the way to go. Since it was salty we asked if our tofu could have less salt since it didn't come out yet. They said yes and it was great! Also came with the same sauce that wasn't needed. Overall not bad and service super nice and friendly.

If you have a Taiwanese snack craving, this is the place to go! It is a cute cafe in Flagstaff, AZ that was near our hotel. We enjoyed this meal the most during our stay in Arizona. The popcorn chicken was delicious! It had the right amount of flavor, crunch, and it had chunks of chicken. I highly recommend it! The steam rice was on point! The fried tofu was delicious as well! The boba milk tea was good and the boba had the right consistency. The dragon eyes tea wasn't as described, but my partner still enjoyed it. The servers were probably students, but friendly and helped when needed. The place is clean and organized. The prices were kind of high, but may be worth it as it hit the spot!

3.5/5 Fried chicken - fried but not that crispy - chicken is very tender & juicy - wayyy too salty - the mayo-based sauce was not that tasty Fried tofu - asked for it to be less salty, so the flavor was okay - some crisp but could be crispier

**Feeling wordy on this one, bear with me.** I wanted something different - new town, new food - so decided to check out Sono for lunch, get some protein and maybe a second bubble tea for taste comparisons from my first stop. This fast-casual eatery is nice: Order at the counter, take your number, go up and grab your food from the large kitchen cutout counter when your number's called; plenty of seating and clean tables. There's prepackaged cold drinks and snacks at the counter and mugs, water bottles, anime keychains and other trinkets. I got the Salt & Pepper Tofu and my go-to bubble tea flavor, their Taro Yama. The salt/pepper and chili spice (didn't notice what this was brand-wise) are powder-form, so you sprinkle on the fresh hot tempura tofu cubes. Yes, it was spiced, was the good kind that warms your mouth and doesn't distract from the flavor. The dipping "sauce" was more of a mayo taste, but I also missed catching the deets. A great pick. I was not too pleased with my Taro Yama bubble tea. After sitting in the fridge overnight, it had congealed to a slimy glob. After a few bites, the taste was overly sweet, and the boba weren't helping either way. That went to the waste heaven. Adding in, I did grab a matcha, a strawberry, and a red bean mochi to take on the trip. When I finally got around to eating the mochi, they were pretty good. The pink and white just had a red bean paste inside, but the green matcha was really good. Just remember to keep them refrigerated; mine lasted just fine that way five days after buying them.

I tried this place in Sedona. I was craving boba tea so decided to stop by this place in flagstaff. I ordered the sea salt mango with boba and my friend got the grapefruit refresh. My drink wasn't bad but it's definitely not one of my favorites. My friend said hers was just okay, tasted exactly like grapefruit- bitter Wouldn't mind coming back to try the other drinks

3.5/5 For Flagstaff,…read morethis bubble tea is alright. If you get a drink from here it will be a sweet day indeed! At first I was a little confused because I didn't see an actual bubble tea store, but it turns out the bubble tea shop has the same owner as the restaurant and grocery store. There are menus at the counter of the grocery store's check out counter where you can place your order. Sadly, one of my choices (The lemon black tea) was not available so I went with the mango tea instead and got a passion fruit tea with yogurt popping boba. The cashier said the passion fruit was her favorite flavor- alright! They make the bubble tea next door at the Chinese restaurant kitchen/drink area. It didn't take too long for my drinks to be made and they had those nicely heat sealed lids. The passion fruit drink was a little too sweet for me so I'll see if I can ask for it less sweet next time. Service was very friendly and nice. Since options are limited in Flagstaff for bubble tea and I want to support local boba business (And fuel my bubble tea addiction) I'll try more next time I'm here!

Smells bad here and the bathrooms are unsanitary. This place is a side business to the HOT WOK option next door. The boba had too much ice and was very hard to chew.
