    Combo Fried Rice

This is always a must go to destination when I am Flagstaff, Arizona. Although this time I wasn't quite as happy with what I ordered. I typically get a BBQ chicken plate, but this time decided to try the fried rice. For me it wasn't great, but it was a hearty, large serving of food, prepared and served fast and fresh. I just didn't love the taste, but my daughter did. She had a small chicken Katsu plate and we both really enjoyed that one. This won't stop me from coming back I'll just stick with the more traditional Hawaiian style food.

Just what we Needed for a quick meal . Delicious . Affordable . We ordered two 1/2 and 1/2 plates . Delicious macaroni! Beef , pulled pork , chicken, shrimp . Generous portions . Definitely recommend .

The food here was super yummy (and affordable)!! We got the chicken katsu, short ribs, and a side of coconut shrimp. The short ribs were tender and everything hit the spot! The staff were also friendly, and the inside of the restaurant was cozy.

This place is very lowkey with cafeteria style seating. You can either dine in or do takeout, but you pay for your meal in advance. Asked the locals, and they all suggested this place to visit. It's a busy spot when we went around dinner time on a Tuesday night. We ordered the grilled island fish (the healthier meal section), which comes with a side of salad and brown rice. Also, got the BBQ chicken that tasted like something you would get at Panda Express. It was really sweet, it comes with rice and macaroni salad (this was really good). An order of malasadas and 2 pieces of Musubis. Overall, the food met expectations, but it didn't exceed it. The food was fresh, and you can see them cooking everything in front of you.

Island vibes with music and aloha (love) right away! Good food, quick and inexpensive. Food was served fast, hot and made to order. Mahalo (Thanks) for a little taste of home in Flagstaff!! Manapua are on the smaller side, good that it's a four pack. Spam Musubi was Ono (tasty). We would definitely come back!

When strolling through Downtown Flagstaff on a weeknight around dinner time, I popped into Aloha for a BBQ chicken plate. Ordering was quick and easy with few pleasantries exchanged. The chicken was surprisingly lean as lots of Hawaiian places have fatty meat, but it lacked the flavor you might expect from barbecued chicken, and didn't come with any marinade or sauce unless you ask for some on the side. The white rice was also a bit on the stale side. The macaroni salad was tasty and fresh, though it had lots of lettuce pieces in it which was not ideal. Overall, decent quality at a reasonable price, but there was nothing that would make you rush back for seconds.

    Short rib & fish combo

Those short ribs were terrible, more of a flank steak inexpensive meat with gristle, bad flavor. Macaroni salad was OK. Fried fish was OK. So many other options in Flagstaff.

The Kuala pig was very tender and flavorful. The beef bbq was okay but good flavor. Staff is nice place is a little worn looking but food come fast and it's nice to see a family business doing well.

Service was fine, place was small but I ordered to go. The bbq mix plate dark meat was dry but still had flavor. Chicken Katsu and the mac salad was great tho!

We live about an hour away past Sedona and will happily drive in to get a delicious sushi meal. The nigiri is fresh and so tasty. One roll we had we disliked because it was topped with pesto, but I'm sure others may like it. I'm more into traditional Japanese flavors. Chicken Kara age appetizer was yummy too! Cool environment. It's not too loud and plenty of elbow space. Cool looking full service bar with bar seats. Service was okay. She was friendly and fast but I disliked how we didn't receive a printed receipt before paying. I should've spoken up but now I know to ask since it's not just provided, then pay with my card. I don't even know if the bill was right. That's the only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth.

The restaurant offers a good variety of ramen flavors along with a wide selection of sushi, sashimi, and side dishes. The space is quite large and clearly very popular. Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff remained friendly and attentive. We visited later in the evening and were able to get a table without difficulty, but it was easy to see how lively the place can be. The ingredients tasted fresh overall. I ordered the jalapeño ramen; the jalapeños themselves were over-charred, but otherwise the dish was well prepared. While I wouldn't necessarily come with expectations for authenticity, it's a solid and satisfying stop if you're looking for Japanese-style or comfort dishes after a long day in the area.

Reasonable prices, limited wait time, great service and friendly staff make this a great place to check out. They also have a sushi bar which we didn't try but heard good things. When we had tried to make a reservation for our party of 10 over open table it refused to let us book it. So we tried 8 since our youngest two in the group are little toddlers that barely eat. So we figured they could sit on our laps and eat off our plates. So when we had got to Sakura a bit early from the North Pole experience tonight my stepdad had mentioned that we were actually a party of 10. When I tell you the attitude and sass from this woman came off me personally if our whole party wasn't starving I would have left. Because the way she acted was as though thy had a full house and there was just no way having a party of 10 is unacceptable. Fast forward to 32+ min later we were seated and the whole start to finish took over 2 hours. I'm so grateful our server and chef were absolutely wonderful. Super polite and respectful how most people should be working in customer service unlike the hosts up front. The server and chefs were the real starts of the show tonight. And of course after our wonderful meals upon exiting there was absolutely no kind of "have a good night" or thanks for dining with us or anything of the sort. If the owner or management ever read these they def need to consider hiring new hostesses that are pleasant and not so rude.

We started with the Vegetable Yaki Soba, which was pretty good overall. However, I wished there had been more variety in the vegetables. It felt a bit too heavy on bell peppers, which I personally do not like. I then ordered salmon sushi and yellowtail sushi. The menu was not very clear about whether these would be rolls or nigiri. Since the menu on their website did not mention nigiri anywhere, I assumed they would be rolls. Unfortunately, they ended up being nigiri pieces instead. While they were still delicious, it wasn't what I was expecting, which was disappointing. We also tried several rolls. The AAC Roll, which includes avocado, asparagus, and cucumber, was pretty good and something I really liked, although the avocado flavor was very dominant. The Oshinko Roll, made with Japanese-style pickled radish, was just okay. The Sweet Potato Roll turned out to be very delicious. It wasn't just plain sweet potato on the inside; it was made with tempura-style sweet potato, which made a big difference. Lastly, we ordered the Hibachi Steak, which came with a salad and egg fried rice. I loved it, especially because the sauce on the steak had a really good balance of savory and sweetness. The egg fried rice was also very good, although it was a bit on the oily side. We placed our order online and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, when we arrived, the staff gave off a strong "we forgot about this order" vibe, and we ended up waiting twice as long more. What bothered me most was that the staff didn't acknowledge that the order had been forgotten and didn't apologize. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I would have appreciated it if they had owned it and apologized. That experience left a slightly sour impression of this place for us.
