Liked the sushi and they always have great deals. Service is very friendly and fast we would go again

After days of eating mostly American or Mexican food, we were really craving sushi. Because of that, we decided to try this place, especially since they offered not only sushi but also some teppanyaki dishes. We started with the Vegetable Yaki Soba, which was pretty good overall. However, I wished there had been more variety in the vegetables. It felt a bit too heavy on bell peppers, which I personally do not like. I then ordered salmon sushi and yellowtail sushi. The menu was not very clear about whether these would be rolls or nigiri. Since the menu on their website did not mention nigiri anywhere, I assumed they would be rolls. Unfortunately, they ended up being nigiri pieces instead. While they were still delicious, it wasn't what I was expecting, which was disappointing. We also tried several rolls. The AAC Roll, which includes avocado, asparagus, and cucumber, was pretty good and something I really liked, although the avocado flavor was very dominant. The Oshinko Roll, made with Japanese-style pickled radish, was just okay. The Sweet Potato Roll turned out to be very delicious. It wasn't just plain sweet potato on the inside; it was made with tempura-style sweet potato, which made a big difference. Lastly, we ordered the Hibachi Steak, which came with a salad and egg fried rice. I loved it, especially because the sauce on the steak had a really good balance of savory and sweetness. The egg fried rice was also very good, although it was a bit on the oily side. We placed our order online and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, when we arrived, the staff gave off a strong "we forgot about this order" vibe, and we ended up waiting twice as long more. What bothered me most was that the staff didn't acknowledge that the order had been forgotten and didn't apologize. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I would have appreciated it if they had owned it and apologized. That experience left a slightly sour impression of this place for us. read more

For Arizona, this place is pretty good . For 17 dollars for all you can eat, this was excellent. It's hard to find decent food in Flagstaff that is reasonably priced . A very good selection of appetizers, rolls, and nigiri. The nigiri was fresh, in my opinion, they used twice as much rice as the should. The service was good , clean bathrooms . Half price for my child . We will definitely go back. There's not too much selection of Sushi here, we are afraid they are overpriced to make up for the 11plus percent sales tax here and the higher wages. For the money, the lunch all you can is great . This place was awful. We ordered for take out and got it to our hotel and the salmon on all the rolls had a rotten smell to them and we had to throw them out. Also the coloration of the salmon was off. Not orange color that it usually is. The raw salmon was brown. The only thing we were able to stomach was the California rolls in our order. We had 730pm reservations for 10 people and were sat right on time. I recommend reservations, the place was packed and the wait looked long. Service was outstanding. Between our chef, waitress and bartender, they were all outstanding. Chef was entertaining and food was great. Overall, great place for groups and fun. read more

Nothing spectacular but it was good. The chef was fine, pretty entertaining but it took a while for him to come out. We called three hours in advance with a party of 13 and were still told to come in. When we arrived, there was not a single customer in the restaurant. The young male host was immediately uninviting and cut us off while taking our order. He was rushing and seemed to be judging us. This was the first red flag. There was also a miscommunication about a sushi roll. When the person said he would take the roll for the inconvenience, he rolled his eyes and walked away during the conversation. During the chef's cooking, he was not very interactive, but the food was fine. To make matters worse, he was cleaning the grill with water that splashed onto our already made food. Not even five minutes into our meal, they emptied the trash and grease trap while we were eating. The smell was disgusting, especially since one of our friends is pregnant and didn't want to eat her food. One of our friends decided to talk to the manager, but she was very dismissive and told us to speak to the waiter ourselves if we had a problem. Working in this industry, this is not safe and can only escalate a situation. The host made a ridiculous comment saying, "If you have a problem, just buy this place and be my boss." He even cursed us, telling us to "go f yourself before you f me." I have never left a review in my life, but I can't fathom the audacity of the server and the management allowing this to happen and escalate the way it did. This place has been pretty consistent with good sushi and service. The all you can eat lunch sushi is pretty amazing, just make sure you eat what you order. I haven't had a chance to try the teppanyaki yet though, but it looks like fun. read more

This was my first time here for the lunch special. It's an all you can eat situation for $16.95 which is a good deal if you can eat that much! You can't order too much food and take it home, but you can order a roll or two, and then more later if you're still hungry. I was impressed that they included appetizers on the all you can eat menu. The service was friendly and quick. The quality of the rolls was pretty good for the all you can eat special, but probably not the best. I would definitely go back though! read more

Giving this place a 4 star rating only because. We Arrived at 12:35pm for the all you can eat sushi for my husband and I and the chicken nugget kids meal for our son. Didn't get the kids meal until 12:50pm and the sushi at 1:30pm Service was slow but friendly for the most part. When you have 2 tablets near you getting hibachi and they get there full meal serviced before you get your sushi there's an issue. Overall the food was good and even had options for pregnant women who want sushi without the fish. I know it's not the same but when your craving it as a pregnant woman it hits the spot. read more

If I had the choice I would give this place half a star. Terrible service, do not recommend. Went here for my Grandpa's Birthday, his choice he was excited to be here. I thought the food was good and cheap, affordable than Benihana. But the service is terrible. My whole family needed refills for our drinks refilled but no one came. We had to chase after them to ask for a refill. Then the cake came out, the restaurant gave us the cake and didn't bother to think we need serving plates, forks, and a knife. We again had to chase down the server to ask for those items. We event went to the manager but she did nothing. Finally when we got the plates, knife, and forks, she told us its our fault and we weren't communicating with our server to get the silverware and plates for the cake. We have visited twice for their all you can eat sushi lunch. Its incredible! We had appetizers like miso soup, edamame, and tempura. From there you just request which ever sushi you want. It just keep coming until you say stop! The only rule is eat what you order... otherwise you pay for the wasted food. I visited Teppan Fuji in passing between the Grand Canyon and Phoenix, AZ. At first glance this place seemed to be a great time, with its crowded parking lot and skilled hibachi chefs. But as we made our way down the menu in search for sushi rolls, I found to my dismay that there wasn't anything mouth-watering on the menu, especially after hiking the Valley. Ultimately, I settled on a Tuna Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll, which were mediocre at best, mainly because the rolls didn't really boast much flavor. That said, our server was very attentive, mindful and quick to serve us, and the prices were fair.. thus I found my experience at this restaurant reasonable. Tip for Management: Your hibachi teppanyaki experience looks like a thrill! It's a shame we didn't have the time to experience it. That said, as for the sushi roll menu, please consider re-engineering your rolls and working on how the fish pairs with the other toppings within the roll. They do not seem to quench that thirst for sushi, even when pairing it with the wasabi and ginger. read more

My Girlfriend and I go to Teppan Fuji at least once every other week. They have all you can eat sushi for about 40$ for 2 people. Considering that's 2 rolls (give or take) from one of the higher end places in town, you really can't beat it. As college students, you almost get your money's worth, and that's hard to say now a days. They have a newer sushi chef that is a bigger guy and wears the full robe (I don't even know what it's called), and that guy can really throw down. We always get great rolls on nicely dressed plates from him and we always love when he is working when we come by. The owner, and the other regular chef, (no offense) can't compare to that guys rolls. I really want to meet him actually. Other than that, the place is pretty clean and the staff is ok. They have a decent selection and I recommend that you go at least once. And make sure you are hungry too. The place isn't perfect, but I give it 5 stars for the value and getting me into sushi. read more

I heard from a family member that I should try Teppan because the food is amazing. As such, I tried and ordered Tempura Udon and edamame. When I ordered through DoorDash and received my food I was greatly disappointed. First of all, Udon broth should never be milky! Secondly, when I took a sip it was literally chicken noodle broth! No sign or taste of dashi, mirin, usukuchi (light colored soy sauce), or even just a little of regular soy sauce. Straight chicken noodle broth. And they even put cabbage in there (￣^￣) ... I understand that on the mainland some ingredients are hard to come by, but the restaurant should really address that this soup is a type of chicken noodle soup. Because nothing about this dish is Udon and is kind of insulting to call it that. Also I paid $21 dollars including tax for this meal. read more

If you have not ate here before, do not go because the amount of rice they give you is impossible to finish. They know what they are doing by charging for sushi rice if unfinished. Horrible experience and manager took pictures and videos of us when we approached him respectfully. The price for the all you can eat may be tempting but they will get you with the portion of rice.
