The kitchen staff were extremely loud, obnoxious, and disruptive--loud enough that it affected what should have been a relaxing meal\. What made it even more frustrating was seeing the manager seemingly fooling around rather than actually managing the situation\. Eventually, a short\-haired older woman had to step in and get control of things, and she seemed to be the only person taking the problem seriously. I was also really taken aback when I overheard the male server say that "it wasn't his job to make people happy\." That is an unbelievable attitude to hear from someone working in hospitality\. It honestly seems silly to put young people who are still displaying juvenile behavior in charge of running things\. Age itself isn't the problem--maturity and professionalism are\. If someone is given a management position, they should be setting the tone for the staff, not joining in with the fooling around\. For a restaurant with such wonderful food and such a cozy atmosphere, this was disappointing\. The food absolutely deserves praise, but the restaurant would benefit tremendously from mature, professional management that keeps the staff focused and understands that the guest experience matters\.

It's a very unique town on its own, and the drive from Jerome to Phoenix was absolutely amazing, it almost felt like a drive through the Pacific Northwest. Back to the coffee shop... it's tiny, but as an architect myself, I really appreciated the unique "flatiron" design. They don't have too many items on their menu, but it seems like they do what they have on the menu really well. I tried a vanilla latte, and it was great! I'd highly recommend checking out this coffee shop and strolling around town to enjoy even more of the uniqueness in Jerome!

With only two cooks in the kitchen, the team did an exceptional job serving a group of our size. Everyone had different orders, yet food and drinks arrived promptly and smoothly. We were welcomed with spring rolls, salads, and beverages, and the staff remained attentive, efficient, and genuinely hospitable throughout the afternoon. The food was outstanding! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and prepared exactly as requested. I enjoyed the green curry, while others at our table ordered beef pho, crispy tofu pad see ew, and pork fried rice. We each selected our preferred spice levels, and every dish delivered exactly the right amount of heat and flavor. There were generous portions and perfect for sharing. What impressed me even more was watching the staff handle the steady flow of local customers who arrived during our private event. They kindly explained that there would be a longer wait because of our gathering, and each interaction was handled with warmth and professionalism. As we finished our meal, packed leftovers, took family photos, and said our goodbyes, those same locals began returning to be seated. To me, that speaks volumes. A restaurant does not build that kind of loyal following unless it consistently delivers great food and exceptional service. However, if I ask you to keep mayonnaise (new addition to old menu item) out of my vegetable burrito because it nauseates me...and all I get is an argument from staff telling me it was always made that way and the menu states it - when it clearly does not, I have no need to patronize an establishment which is devoid of basic customer service etiquette. The singular change I will not accept is being served up hatred with my order. The new staff - Pam and Violet, have overtly argumentative, unwilling, and erroneous positions toward their basic job function. This is no longer a welcoming establishment and no matter how much the pastry situation improved - Jessica, everything else has significantly devolved here!!!!
