Last time I was here I ordered the standard tikka masala, which I LOVE, but I noticed there was much less chicken than the first time I visited, and the prices had gone up. So, this time I opted for the Veg Korma, which I get every time, and the Dahl (lentils). The korma is lovely with chunks of potato, cauliflower, peas and carrots (feel like they are frozen, but good nonetheless). The sauce was spiced at spicy and was perfect. The Dahl was nicely spiced and just a really good vegetarian meal, not too heavy and plenty of leftovers. The butter naan was adequate. It was much denser than last visit and honestly lacked some flavor, but the garlic naan I've had before wasn't much different so I opted for the lower price point. All in all, it's hard to complain. The family does a really good job ensuring patrons are satisfied, which is key. The prices have increased about 25-30% since they opened and I feel like the portions shrank a tad, but considering I'm one person and I always order two entrees, I always have left overs. To make matters worse, he kicked a family of 10 Indians out of the restaurant. The family has seniors, children, and was clearly tired. Everything is clean and well-kept, bathrooms included. The chicken tikka masala is phenomenal--tender chicken in a perfectly spiced, flavor-packed sauce. The vegetable samosas are some of the best I've ever had, especially with their mint chutney, which deserves its own round of applause. I got a little excited and ate one samosa before remembering I needed a picture. Thankfully, I saved one for Yelp. And the garlic naan?! Crispy around the edges, soft and perfectly chewy, loaded with garlic and cilantro. I actually ate the leftovers the NEXT DAY. If you know me, that carries significant weight because I do not do leftovers. I literally carried that naan around until every last piece was gone.
