I recently joined 34 members of my family at Chais Thai following an afternoon ceremony honoring my late aunt at Prescott National Cemetery. The restaurant graciously reserved the entire dining room for our gathering, creating a welcoming space for family to come together, share memories, and celebrate her life over a fabulous meal. With only two cooks in the kitchen, the team did an exceptional job serving a group of our size. Everyone had different orders, yet food and drinks arrived promptly and smoothly. We were welcomed with spring rolls, salads, and beverages, and the staff remained attentive, efficient, and genuinely hospitable throughout the afternoon. The food was outstanding! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and prepared exactly as requested. I enjoyed the green curry, while others at our table ordered beef pho, crispy tofu pad see ew, and pork fried rice. We each selected our preferred spice levels, and every dish delivered exactly the right amount of heat and flavor. There were generous portions and perfect for sharing. What impressed me even more was watching the staff handle the steady flow of local customers who arrived during our private event. They kindly explained that there would be a longer wait because of our gathering, and each interaction was handled with warmth and professionalism. As we finished our meal, packed leftovers, took family photos, and said our goodbyes, those same locals began returning to be seated. To me, that speaks volumes. A restaurant does not build that kind of loyal following unless it consistently delivers great food and exceptional service. If you are looking for a place where you are treated like family, served delicious food, and welcomed with genuine hospitality, Chais Thai is that place. It had been quite some time since we ate here--because Prescott area is blessed with many eating establishments. We were very happy we came back. Our meals were delicious. They had nice portion sizes. I had the 5--Pad See Ew and my love had the 7. The restaurant has nice ambiance with fresh flower bouquets on each table. It feels cozy and has a warm vibe. I came here for dinner with my parents last month and it was a very good experience! The restaurant was nearly empty although it seemed like they were doing a brisk take away business. We were seated right away and given time to peruse the extensive menu. TBH, this was last month, so I do not recall what we ordered! However, the food came quickly and the portions were ENORMOUS!! We ordered 3 dishes and easily got 6 meals out of it! The food was very good... I don't eat Thai food that often, so I don't have a lot to compare it with, but it was flavorful and fresh! I stopped in here while in town, was really hoping to get a cup of soup with lunch but their soups are all full portions. Got the lunch pad see ew. It was OK, a little sweeter than I expected, but the noodles were delicious. I would've loved a little more beef and cabbage. The side salad that came with it was fresh, I didn't love the peanut dressing because it was also too sweet and there wasn't a lot of salad, but nevertheless overall tasty. read more

The food is AMAZING!!!!! Better than my favorite spot in Phoenix. I had the shrimp pad Thai with peanuts and extra onions. I also had the crab rangoons and they were better than I expected with a nice blend of cream cheese, crab and great bites of onion. I got the pad Thai spice level 3 and I thought it was a little too spicy for me and I can take some heat. The Thai tea with cream was a dream. This is jidden in a corner of the strip mall that houses the The Picture Show! You are greeted with smiles and the sweetest aromas you can imagine from Asian cuisine. I had to get the Jasmine hot tea, while Hubbs got the traditional Thai Tea, (my favorite) We ordered the Noodle Tom Yum Soup! So fresh and tasty! We ate the whole bowl. Then I ordered the Chicken Larb and Hubbs ordered the Pad Kee Mow. We walked out with our bellies full and our hearts filled with content! Most definately coming back here again! Great service. Food was ready fast and tasted so fresh. The fried spring rolls were perfect, not too hot to bite into right was but fresh(how did they do that?) I also had the fried rice with beef, level 3 spicy out of 5 and it was perfect. We came to this shopping plaza intending to get lunch at Zeke's Eating Place, but it had a 20-mintue wait (this was on a Sunday; maybe it was the post-church crowd?). Luckily, Chai's Thai was next door and they had table available, so we changed our plans. Parking is in the large shared lot for the whole plaza, so this isn't a problem. The only actual problem was groups who stopped in the roadway to exchange jackets (?). The interior of the restaurant is plain but with some Thai (restaurant) décor added. We got seated and got our waters quickly. From there, it was a moderate pace to get the orders and the food - not rushed and not slow. Two of us got the Pad Thai (which is always a safe comparative choice at a new / unknown Thai place). We opted for medium spice, which turned out to be good, as their scale seemed aggressive. I liked my dish, but this was in the realm of what I'd normally say was hot or Thai hot. So my advice is for you to dial back your spiciness here on your first visit, so as not to overdo it versus what you are used to. You can always ratchet that up on your second visit if you come back. Prices were quite reasonable. If I lived in the area I'd definitely return here for another meal. read more

Water ran out and they were busy talking behind screen plus another customer was loud and his phone the whole time. I love this place so much. The food is GREAT. Best Thai food pretty much anywhere, and I travel a LOT. When my best friend comes to visit from Atlanta, Chai's Penang curry is always the first thing she wants. The staff is so nice, too, and I feel extra lucky when the phone is answered by the person who calls me "Dear". The portions are of decent size as well, however, the service is slow and the older lady (mother/owner?) was very frustrating to deal with. My Neibor and I went to this location for dinner early to ensure a table. The food is great, the day we went. They were short of staff, unfortunately, that was a Friday. Two other tables set for service, but after 15 minutes, and not getting any water they left. They do need to get upper shelf alcohol still had a delicious dinner. Hidden gem in a strip mall. Ordered crab Rangoon's and they tasted like they were home made. Also had a big chunk of (imitation) crab in each piece. The noodle dish was excellent as was the Panang curry. Lots of fresh vegetables and a good amount of chicken. Service was good. Definitely a place we will return to. read more

Food is good, service is most of the time good. My biggest complaint would be the vases of wilted smelly flowers on the tables. It is unappealing to eat a meal next to flowers that are decaying in a vase. They smell terrible and look terrible. They need to remove them before they get so awful. read more

I heard several other customers compliment the staff on how friendly they are and how much they love coming here, so it appears they have many regular customers. The food tasted fresh, the vegetables crisp and the broth in my cashew chicken dinner was amazing. They would have received 5 stars however they were VERY skimpy on the chicken (maybe 1.5 ounces) and cashews (about six) in my meal. So, will I come back?
