Very responsive staff, and the food was excellent, would go again next time I'm in that area.

This restaurant used to be our favorite. We ordered from here a few times a month. It recently sold and, the few times we have been here, we have been very disappointed in the food. I'm vegetarian and there are zero options for entrees. Everything is made either with oyster sauce or fish sauce. They cannot make it without these ingredients. My husband's chicken curry was very disappointing. The new owner is lovely so give it a try and see what you think. If you're vegetarian or vegan, you'll want to go somewhere else. read more

Some of the best Thai food in the quad cities. From the outside this place almost looks scary. It's off 89 on Perkinsville road in CV, in an old strip mall that has an old gas station whose pumps where removed long ago , the parking lot was last paved in 1950 ( that's a guess) uneven, gaps, part dirt part asphalt and part whatever they used in 1951. But the food is nothing short of fantastic. Been there four times now and it's always good. My personal favorite is Yellow Curry, but we've had Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Fried rice, sticky rice, it's all good Inside there a a couple of tables and zero ambience, I think take out is the main stay here. It's clean and staff is friendly, It does have some weird hours though, it's closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Lunch is open at 11:00am and closes at 2:00 PM then reopens at 3:30pm till 7:00 for dinner. It's also closed at times for a couple weeks at a time ( maybe owners vacation time?) We call on July 16 to order take out and the phone recording said they're closed until July 30, so call first. read more

Thai Spot has the absolute best red curry, green curry, crab puffs, drunken noodles, and tom kha soup, I have ever had in my life. I love Thai food and have tried it in California and many places in Washington. Thai Spot is the absolute BEST in those realms. Their orange chicken could use a revamp. Their salads are great. To the people who complain about prices and their hours: The prices have been raised because of inflation. That's just life, not Thai spots fault --- they are a mom and pop place, they need to make money to stay open. Support local businesses. They don't open on the weekend because of the overwhelming amount of customers they already have....and that's because their food is amazing. You want extra protein? Order extra protein. read more

Great service, and surprisingly excellent food for a little run-down strip mall. I had the simple tofu and vegetables, and my friend had pad Thai. The prices were low, but if you'd received those meals in a fancy restaurant and paid a lot more, you would have been very satisfied. read more

Chino Valley resident here, retired so my income is essentially fixed. We hadn't ordered from Thai Spot in a couple of years, primarily because of the place's inexplicable choice to be closed on Saturdays. We had their menu from a couple of years ago, ordered from that; we ordered soup and two entrees. Wife was shocked how little chicken was actually in her entree; I was still in shock from the cost of the take out: over$50. I compared prices off the old menu vs. the new one I picked up; I understand that prices have gone up due to Bidenomics, but: Soup had been 9.95 before, now 13.95 Dinner 1 had been 10.95, now 15.95 Dinner 2 had been 10.95, now 15.95 Lunch specials - which we did not get - had been 7.95, now 12.95 We won't be doing business with That Spot in the future... read more

I wish they had mango sticky rice hint hint...People complaining about the price I understand but it's not the restaurants fault, prices are raising everywhere. Food was greasy and inedible. Had the Thai basil (normally my favorite) but it was indistinguishable, greasy and inedible. Took it back as it was a to go order and was told nothing they can do about it.. no refund or remake. Husband had orange chicken that was mushy, and odd tasting..also no refund or remake. Have ordered from here 2 or 3 other times prior to this and food was good..not over the top but good and edible After this experience... Will not return. read more

Drove all the way from Prescott in search of some good thai food, coming from Seattle I had an abundance of great thai to choose from. This place did not disappoint, unlike its counter parts in Prescott! I was very happy with the food, flavors, and spice. My only complaint, I wish the dipping sauce for the fresh rolls were more on the peanut flavor side. read more

I ordered penang curry and out the door for an approximately a 2 cup serving plus rice, cost over $15. Which I think is too expensive. And that was the lunch special !!! The restaurant was small and clean, but it would have been nice to be able to sit down and enjoy the food instead of having to eat it in my hot car because I wasn't done with errands. So being an only takeout restaurant that's a negative. However, as a positive , it was the best Penang curry I've ever had. If I can save up my money, I'll go back. Otherwise I'll have to learn to make Thai food at home. read more

I just got in at 2pm, they were busy but you would never know by how quick and friendly the server was!!! I didn't know it had been opened again uny, as I only tried it once before under the previous owners. The new owner was the server and he is so friendly and busy with his service, he really is so nice and quick! They stop doing lunch specials at 3pm, I ordered the coconut chicken soup (#18) and had a Thai tea, it was absolutely amazing!!! I will be going back, I hope to try everything! So far it's excellent! Update: I've gotten pickup twice since my original review and both times it's been epic. I was eating meat before for about 9 months but am back to veganism and the way they prepare tofu is just amazing. I love their food so much! We are so lucky they're here. read more

Do call and ask for your specifics as the gal is very nice if you want to make substitutions and I did not know that. The taste of the curry was excellent but did not like that it only had a few potatoes and a couple of carrots as had asked for no peppers - so no veges to speak of - but they would be willing to put in broccolli and carrots if asked. Now I know. the pork was okay but not great. On heat - their 2 is a 3 and their 1 is a 2. So they are on the hotter side than those usual numbers. My husband liked the rice noodles but quite sweet. The friendly gal that takes orders will help with your particulars so unless you know their menu good to ask. They have an avocado eggplant dish she raved about - would like to try that in the future. read more

This relatively new Thai / Oriental restaurant is just about as good as it could be. Totally delicious meals for a reasonable price. Pad Thai, chicken noodle, chicken curry, orange chicken & egg rolls were eaten in two earlier visits to Thai Spot in Chino Valley. The ingredients are fresh; as you can pick out their individual flavors. The meals are very tasty and expertly prepared. Try the special Thai tea, it's remarkable.
