I stopped by on a Monday around lunchtime. There were already a few tables seated in the dimly lit dining area, which was nice and cool on a hot day. Host was friendly and I ordered the beef bulgogi bento box at the counter. It came out quickly. The beef was very tasty. It came with a salad with a nice orange dressing. Crispy tempura and egg roll. This was a nice place to grab an early dinner on Friday. We were seated immediately and our sushi rolls came out pretty dang quick. There weren't many people sitting inside, but we noticed the pick-up orders were constant. We ordered the garlic edamame (super garlicky, maybe a little too much for some). I got the KoKo Spicy Udon, Unagi Dragon Roll and Caterpillar Roll. Udon was very well done, broth was so good. Very flavorful and very filling. Sushi rolls were both -okay- nothing to complain about, a little bigger than I expected, so kudos there for that. For the price, it is worth every penny. Very reasonably priced, decent quality sushi, large portions. I've been coming here since around 2020 I believe. The food is amazing, I always get the Tonkotsu ramen and it's amazing every single time. Recently for a birthday dinner I got the ramen and one of the sushi rolls and it tastes amazing and made for a good meal. Me and my mom get the edamame sometimes to snack on the way home since it's a bit away but I promise you this place is so worth it. If you want authentic Japanese food I would definitely recommend this place or if you wanted to do a date as well. When I go it's always quiet never too busy which is a shame because I truly believe this place deserves to be booked to the fullest. The service is always amazing too, they're so nice and friendly here. I always do my best to tip them, I hope more people find this place and love it as much as I do. This is a great little Japanese restaurant in Prescott. The sushi counter has a few items only but it is Prescott! Great polite and expedient service and the atmosphere is very clean and simple. I ordered their tempura prawns which were very good nice and light and crispy tempura over the succulent perfectly cooked prawns. They have a nice dipping sauce but also provide a chili sauce and a sweet chili sauce. Very good. Now out of curiosity I ordered their deep fried musubi with egg in it. I was surprised at how great it is. Then I had their beef yakiudon which was very good. It had a slight touch of curry in the sauce very weak but nice flavor. Delicious food, friendly staff, definitely a neighborhood gem! Next to circle k on Gurley, the way in can be a tiny bit tricky, but you can get in via Gurley or Robinson. At the entrance, you can see the menu or you can grab one when you walk in. For dine in, you grab a seat, review menu, then order/ pay at the cashier. For take out, you order at the cashier right away. We ordered two sushi rolls (Philly and aloha) and both were excellent. Ingredients are FRESH and sushi is authentic. We also ordered chicken Pho- was tasty and Chicken fried rice- super yummy! The fried rice was light and not msg tasting or all greasy. The cashier is super friendly, the owner is right there to help, and the staff making sushi is also nice. For dine in, they have a variety of drinks to choose from! wow just wow, I am literally at awe. I turned into this spot because my car started being weird so I pulled over. To be honest I feel now that it was the universe calling me to this place. Koko grill is our favorite place in Prescott! Fresh sushi and the Pho is the best we've ever had and we are from Seattle so that's saying A LOT! I left my purse there on accident and we drove back to Phoenix where we currently reside. The owner actually drove the purse down to us in anthem the next day as they were heading into town. WOW! Usually I get the sushi from here, haven't really had anything else. But there are quite alot of choices and all the ones I've had are great. Along with that I've never been to a place that sells such a great amount of it for one order. I get two different types of sushi everytime for me and my girlfriend, we end up getting full on one and have to box the rest for later. Oh and if your gonna go to koko's, get the fried cheesecake. Detailed Review Read with Caution: This is one of the many times that I have come here. I want to leave a review after I dined at the restaurant a couple of times. During my first few visits to the restaurant , their spam musubi is basically a musubi deep fried in tempura. However, from where I am, which is Hawai'i, you never server spam raw because the taste isn't the same when it's cooked. This restaurant's spam Musubi is server raw where the outside parts which consist of the seaweed (nori) and the rice is deep fried. The spam is warmed not cooked. During my visit on 11/27/2021, I was served quite a disappointing Tonkotsu Ramen. The noodles itself are Pancit Canton noodles which are thicker cut egg noodles used for frying. They do not suck the flavor as much as regular ramen noodles. These types of egg noodles are usually served in Saimin which is a lighter broth than Tonkotsu. Usually the case of ramen, you are given a half boiled egg and they give a full boiled egg which isn't as good. Some of the vegetables given in the ramen tasted old. It seemed like they just shoved a salad kit in the ramen bowl. Their prices for the restaurant raised up by a $1 for most of their dishes except drinks and appetizers and in all reality, there are dishes that are worth the price and dishes that are worth the price. Especially when Pho is priced at $14-16 just add protein in it when you're supposed to have protein included in the price anyway. Having plain pho shouldn't be as expensive as this and adding protein to just boost the price for mediocre quality. All in all, the only food I actually had a liking to is the bentos and the sushi rolls.
