Panang curry with chicken and a veggie base
    Lea C.

Wow- stopped here on the way back home between Flagstaff and Phoenix- this was SO GOOD. I ate it ALL and I never do that - seriously. This place is super small, literally only room for about 15 people to sit down in here so it's busy and it's popular. Both my husband and I were craving the red curry and this totally hit the spot. We were able to have a vegetable base, so no rice and it was just an incredible meal- chock full of veggies and a decent amount of chicken. The shop workers were extremely friendly and treated everyone like a long lost friend. It was awesome. You walked in the door and It was like being norm from cheers they wanted to say hey! Anyway, we had an excellent meal, each bowl was $12.50 If you need to stop here for a meal on your way home from Flagstaff Venetians, skip all the fast food crap right off the exit and drive the 2 miles down the road to this place. It is right next to Bashas.

    Drunken Noodles. Very yummy

Folks in yelp liked this place, so off I went. They had my favorite, Drunken Noodles & they were quite yummy. The portion was a nice size as well. I'll definitely be back to work my way down the menu

As a traditional Thai food snob who was born and raised in Thailand. This place is one of the most authentic Thai food places in Arizona. Don't be misled by the location or the facad. Like the beautiful country of Thailand you will only be able to appreciate it when you meet J or Jit and Michael and their team. Let them know you heard about them from me. We have a saying in Thailand and it is "" or Gan Aing. Which translates to we are family. That's what I would call Baan Baan Thai express. Check them out

Soft opening. News travels fast in this small town. We came in to try the new thai restaurant in Camp Verde. It's so popular the line was out the door at 7:15pm on a Saturday night. Many items were sold out. There was still many other options to choose from. Plus another reason to come back. The restaurant itself has a small dining room. Take out is an option if the restaurant is full. The food comes out fast. I ordered the Noodle Soup and Thai Tea. So flavorful! My other half ordered the orange chicken and rice noodles. He said it was very tasty and yes the portions were generous indeed! Friendly and happy staff.

Very few Thai places to eat at in northern AZ and the only place in Camp Verde. Amazing find with delicious traditional dishes and very generous portions, reasonable prices too!! Very friendly service with a cozy atmosphere! Will definitely be coming here again, new favorite spot!

Food was good but not wowsers. Their Pad Thai chicken was somewhat bland and the chicken was tough and difficult to chew.

Best Thai coffee and great service. The food is not great but the service makes up for it. Chicken is overcooked and rice is always mush.

They are open…read moreall day- no odd hours like some of the Local Thai restaurants which is very inconvenient therefore we don't frequent them. Negatives: Portion size is a bit small to average, and sadly a few of the featured dishes we have tried seem to focus on adding prolific amounts of red and green bell pepper as "filler" for the vegetable in the protein and rice/noodle dishes. A variety of vegetables that compliment the specific dish would add interest and subtle texture and flavor. Broccoli? Lemongrass? Everything is expensive now due to the trump administration- and people simply can't afford to eat out as much or at all. When a dish is presented miserly, it becomes an easy to decision not to eat out. Also, the dishes are a bit overly salted. Thai food has such an abundance of spice to make it unique, over salting is a rookie move. The staff we have encountered seem mostly professional and friendly, however, lately staff seem disinterested, bored and we were surprised and disappointed to see two staff members, eating at the front register while people came in for take-out orders. Surely a health code violation to be eating while handling customer food orders and money at the cashier station. Big turn-off for us. We really wanted to see them succeed- but eating at the register is gross. Ughh.

I tried to call in an order a few times, but no one was answering, so I decided to go in person. When I arrived, I quickly realized they were understaffed and overwhelmed. However, they remained friendly. I ordered the following order to-go: Papaya salad + shrimp Mango sticky rice Thai tea They informed me that it would take 45 minutes and though I was hungry, I had nowhere to be so I decided to wait. The staff checked on me a few times and were very apologetic. The owners also came out and spoke with every customer. The papaya salad was fresh, tasty, and exactly what I wanted! The mango sticky rice was lightly sweetened and wonderful. The thai tea on the other hand, was plenty sweet and creamy. Great spot. Highly recommend!

Fried Rice - Thai Basil Chicken: Falls short, due to technique; feels like the rice just came out…read moreof a rice warmer rather than refrigerated overnight rice. So everything sort of clumps together. I felt the dish was missing that Drunken Tiger Thai Basil Fish Sauce + Sugar Soy Sauce flavor. Feel the fried rice can be simpler--- leave out the celery stalks, leave out the zucchini, and keep to garlic, basil, Thai bird eye chillis, onions and Pad Kee Mao Sauce. Missing that taste of flame where every rice is coated with the wok char. Pad Thai--- this was an outstanding Pad Thai. Considering we're literally in the middle of nowhere in Winslow AZ, the noodle dish wasn't Sugar Overload, it was light. Had a balanced amount of citrus acid lime, and tasted refreshing. Tom Kha---- this Tom Kha is how I'd imagine a white person would interpret it, lacks lime leaves, lacks sourness, and doesn't keep to its roots, shallots, lemongrass, Thai bird eye peppers, Mushrooms, cilantro and maybe tomatoes....but nothing more. This was almost like a Thai Coconut Vege Soup packaged in a plastic cup sold in some neighborhood in St Paul Minnesota at an Albertsons; I would modify it by cutting out the celery and carrots and maybe squeeze a bit more lime in there if the owners don't have a lime leaf tree. Egg Rolls-- I've made a ton of these back in my restaurant days, along with crab cheese wontons, so as a standalone appetizer this place has pretty decent egg rolls. Thai Ice Tea--- good, Balanced not sweet, light ; recommend. Overall this family restaurant was a good stop between Los Angeles and Route 66 Arizona. Every member of the family were incredibly friendly, couldn't ask for better service, they follow up with you and ask for suggestions to improve the dishes, and any other accommodations adjustments with the ingredients. So next time you know. Let them know. Wil definitely be coming back next time I drive through with my rig. Kudos for running a Thai restaurant so far away from society.
