No specialty coffee but they got the basic right! I enjoyed iced hazelnut latte (regular size). I had the bigger size next morning it definitely didn't taste the same and I didn't get any hint of hazelnut. I love that baristas gave me free whipped cream ;) if you are in Prescott, I'd def recommend Merchant Coffee. Plenty of parking. read more

This place is amazing! I was visiting from out of town and went here two mornings in a row. The same barista was working both days and on the second day she recalled both my name and my order when I walked in. Wow, I was amazed! She was very friendly, the service here was so impressive. I overheard other customers come and go and it seems like everyone received the same excellent service. The coffee was great, we got several drinks including iced lattes, hot latte and flat whites. Also grabbed a muffin and it was good too. Highly recommend this place! read more

Another secret little tucked away coffee shop worth going to! The service was great, everyone is very friendly and welcoming! The shop has great vibes, the decor and ambiance of this place made for great pictures. Also just lots of seating was nice to see for this cute little place. We got the honey lattes and they were great, maybe a bit of a darker roast. The flavor pairings were nice and I also got a cardamom latte as well which tasted great! Definitely worth coming to again! read more

Great place for a good espresso or a cup of coffee. Conviently located in the downtown area which makes it walkable. The coffee shop is located in a shared space with a barber shop, and a specialty spirits shop. Good places for you to sit and listen to old grumpy men talking shit about "those liberals" and sizing each other up on how conservative they are - it was like witnessing a nat geo mating ritual. Nice little coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere. The latte I ordered tasted really good and the milk was steamed perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful. It took a bit longer than expected during the busy morning rush, but overall it was still a pleasant experience. I would come back again to try their pastries next time. read more

We didn't find this to be the best cup of coffee in Prescott, but it's possible we caught them on an off day. My brother in law and his wife ordered lattes, and my husband had the drip coffee. Unfortunately, they all thought the coffee tasted burnt. I had a London Fog, which was actually very good, but since it's tea, it's not really a reflection of the coffee. The baristas were really friendly and helpful, and the space was cozy with plenty of comfortable seating. We'd be open to giving it another try and hopefully next time the coffee hits the mark. read more

The location is in an interesting collective and somewhat vacant early in the morning. The coffee itself was solid and the customer service was excellent. I was in town for the weekend and went back again the next morning while on my morning walk. Definitely want to check out the other establishments in the building. read more

Good drinks good vibes. This place is right off the main downtown road and it's apart of other shops. There girl working was super nice. I got a chai which is a spicy mix and added vanilla. I thought it was good but obviously this is a coffee shop. A pistachio honey latte was also ordered and it was good. Not too light and a bit potent in flavor but still yummy! read more

Got a delicious chai latte, and was able to ask the counter for easy ice and had a great selection of milk alternatives. I picked coconut. They had some fantastic muffins available, we tried the peach raspberry and the lemon poppy seed and both were very moist and flavorful. It was a good place on the patio and the shade in the morning for a larger group. Do wish they had some breakfast options available that were not just pastries. Had to eat some breakfast protein before I came. read more

Fun vibe! Hard to find the entrance at first - it's in the same building as the founders gym. The service was quick and the staff was nice. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was good, but not the best I've ever had. The espresso was pretty bland. The seating is pretty limited but I found a spot and they have some fun games and my friend and I had a good time playing games and chatting with our coffee! read more

I read a review saying this was the best coffee spot in Prescott. When I arrived, the barista had the confidence to say it was the best coffee in Prescott. Coffee was excellent. A simple iced vanilla latte but the flavor of the beans had a bold flavor. No bitterness. No acidity. Also they use organic syrups !!!! Vibe was on point, great ambiance, clean and work friendly. Solid coffee shop in Prescott! Summer specials include a delicious (but quite sweet) Coconut Rose Sparkling Lemonade, which is very refreshing after a hike! Also tried a ginger cardamom iced latte--flavor combo is QUITE good. I might ask for a second shot of espresso in the latte next time, as the whole milk and flavored syrups overpowered the espresso this time. Also, they use Holy Kakow syrups, which are organic and authentic in flavor. Not easy to find Holy Kakow in coffee shops, so kudos to this team for sourcing the best. Staff was so lovely, friendly, helpful with options and our choices, and very efficient in making both drinks. It was busy here on a Saturday, mid-day, which I love to see! Coffee and muffins are very good. I don't love the artwork, but that's minor. Parking can sometimes be a challenge since it's in a strip mall with other businesses, but they also have a drive - thru if you're in a hurry. read more

We make our own lattes so traveling is difficult. This is our second time in the area and the drinks were just as well made as our visit two years ago. Ambiance was great, it's a in collective space. Barista was very friendly both times as well. read more

It sits inside a building that shares space with a barber shop and a bar. It's a relaxing cozy atmosphere and there are lots of leather chairs to sit on. We had iced chai lattes since it's late afternoon. I'm sure this is a great spot for coffee! Barista was friendly. Fast service. read more

Located inside a bigger complex with other shops. There is a barbershop, a liquor section, and other things. Great open space concept. There is music over the speakers, but not overpowering. Nice coffee shop vibe to hangout. There is Wi-Fi as well. The coffee is also pretty good. They have small selection of pastries they can warm up for you as well. Nice little place to rest and take a break in the area. read more

Merchant coffee is located inside of Founding Fathers. Really cool building...there's coffee, beer, wine, cocktails, food trucks, barbershop, and probably a few more things. This place honestly has it all. I ordered the snickerdoodle latte with almond milk to share with my husband. It was creamy and full of caffeine...just how I like it. There was plenty of tables to sit at Inside as well l as space outside to hang out. Will definitely be back for a cup of coffee. read more

Best espresso in all of Prescott, located within the Founding Fathers Collective space. I had an oat milk latte that was perfect (at cafes without experience, its easy to burn the milk and it ruins the taste) and my partner had the burnt orange chai that was soo darn good that I wish I had ordered it myself - not too sweet with just a dash of spice and orange, it was like a perfect light dessert. We went at around 1pm on a Monday, there were several people there and only one person on staff, so all considered, the wait time was normal but not the best place to stop if you're in a rush. They also sell a local chocolate that's award winning, so make sure to grab a bar. If you're looking for high quality, this is the place to go. read more

Wonderful place to get amazing coffee and relax in a comfortable, beautiful environment. The service is friendly and good. It's our favorite place to relax in Prescott. It's in a vintage building and is part of Founding Father's Collective that is shared with the cutest barber shop, John Hancock Barbershop (people come out looking awesome but I don't have personal experience) and City Tavern Taproom. There's lots of space but it still feels cozy in a snowy day! Our most recent visit was Easter and they hid eggs for all the little visitors! It was so fun watching them search for and find their treats! Mine are all grown and it brought back so many memories! Merchant Coffee is truly a wonderful addition to the community! read more

Quite possibly the best latte I've ever had. So creamy, presentation was fabulous, and perfect temperature, and....wait for it...served in a real mug! Not forced to use a paper cup! The service was top notch, pricing was lower than expected, and great atmosphere to get work done as well. There's music, but the volume is conducive to having a conversation. Pretty cool collective set up too. Not sure who owns the barber shop in the building, but that place was slammed. Can't wait to come back! read more

This place is neat! Great atmosphere!! Anyone is welcome but I definitely felt like I was in a guys world. Lol Plenty of spots for parking and also plenty of seating and I loved the comfy leather couches! Great coffee! The bathroom was very clean, and I was impressed by the Dyson hand dryer that's part of the faucet! The lady cleaning the bathroom had to show me because I was looking for paper towels. Lol FANCy!! My only con: I'm extremely big on customer service, the girl at the hostess area never greeted me and when I left a lot of the employees were just standing there waiting for customers but never said goodbye as I left. Excellent white mocha or espresso! I'm originally from Seattle and a coffee snob. This place is excellent. We drive all the way from Phoenix and always make a stop here no matter what. The pic I posted is a half gone white mocha. The flavor is strong, invigorating, and a perfect balance of bitter, smooth milk, and sweet. Love that it is inside founding fathers. Such a cool vibe! Also, there is some young kid that helps out and is such a hard worker! Love it! read more

This place is wonderful! Located in a shared space with a beer tasting room and a barber shop, the vibe is super cool, modern, and friendly. We came in on a cold Monday morning and we were greeted by two friendly baristas. We ordered two flat whites and they were ready within minutes. They were two perfectly made flat whites. The flavor of the coffee was well balanced and delicious. Each flat white was $4. Will definitely be back here! read more

Visiting is a chance to enjoy the masculine, cozy vibe of Founding Fathers Collective. Best avocado toast and lamb sliders from food truck. So gourmet! Around the corner is John Hancock barber shop and around another corner is a Bloody Mary bar/mimosa bar. Bloody Mary's is packed with bacon, cheese, olives, pickles and the mimosa was given w side of gin with ginger juice. Live music and even a beer wine tab area where you buy wristbands and taste all the amazing drinks on tap. Will be back each weekend!!! FOOD TRUCK IS WOW WOW!!!!! read more

I spent $18 on a medium pumpkin spice coldbrew with oatmilk and a medium caramel apple cider. There is non dairy alternatives, it is $1 to add non-dairy. The caramel apple ciders taste was muted and I could barely taste the caramel. The pumpkin cold brew was good. The drinks themselves were okay, but definitely not worth the price or going out of your way for.

What is especially notable is that Lizarraga's is, simply put, dirt cheap. The wide variety of oversized, colorful pastries range in price from $.88 - $1.25 each, hot coffee is $1.25 for a big cup, fountain drinks are $1.25. No quality is sacrificed at these prices either. The coffee is fresh and smooth. The churros, two types, are to die for! The not-to-sweet, vanilla flavored Ojos De Panchas are the perfect "dunking" pastry. The service is super friendly, and samples are often available. They also bake bread and make cakes to order. Aside from grocery store bakeries, there is only one other Panaderia that I know of in our area: The Donut Hole in Prescott Valley. There is really no comparison; my Mexican pastry experience there still haunts me to this day. (You can read my YELP review of "The Hole" for the gory detail.) Lizarraga's is actually worth a trip to Gateway Mall for an astoundingly cheap and delicious treat. I'm hoping that Lizarraga's is able to stay in business. They are a refreshing addition to the Mall.

We landed on the Mac and Cheese and the Steak Salad with blue cheese dressing. Pretty standard bar food. Service was good, not great, very low energy, which is fine. We felt like only visitors in the place. Most of the bar patrons seemed to know everyone and were engaging the bartenders. Parking rather tough, it's all angled on street up against town square. We had a pretty long walk weaving through all the St patty's day revelers.
