First, I would like to preface with the reason why the Bistro St Michael, recently "rebranded" The Burke is so successful is simply, the people that work there. They dedicate their time, energy, and lives to make this restaurant what it is. They take pride in their responsibility to provide their customers with the best experience, best food, and best atmosphere. These are the people you see everyday. These women are always smiling, and trying to accommodate their customers every need! The chefs you see through the window are always making our food with love and precision! The restaurant manager is always there to make sure things run smoothly and you can tell she puts her heart and soul into this place. One minute she's on the floor and the next minute she's in the window cooking?!?!?! Versatile is an understatement!! I often ask her if she ever goes home! The reason why I am writing a review is because I feel I have to. I come here once a week and I have to say, the recent reviews have been absolutely accurate. The prices have raised significantly, they have removed staples that us locals and the tourists love! As a local I have enjoyed this place for many years. It seems they have new upper management that are calling the shots. Not very present but when they are you can feel the energy shift. The direction they are going is, to say the least, disappointing. I will keep trying to support this place because the food and the service is amazing! I guess the best way to put it is these people have gotten too big for their britches, they obviously have a California mind frame that does not understand or appreciate our town, our demographic and our locals, not to mention and most important the people that work there everyday to make this place a success. For how long? Who knows. I have seen allot of restaurants fall as easy as the rose in this town. We visited over the 4th of July weekend, so we expected things to be busy. However, it also seemed like a weekend where additional staffing would have helped. We were a party of six. Two of us ordered drinks, and our food order wasn't taken until those drinks arrived, leaving the rest of our group waiting longer than expected. I had the chicken lettuce wraps. They tasted good but were a little dry, and the lettuce was wilted. The rest of our group ordered the biscuits and gravy and the brisket Benedict, and everyone finished their meals. The service was friendly but slow, with delayed refills and napkins. Overall, it's a cute spot with good food--just expect a slower pace if you visit during a busy holiday weekend. read more

I asked for it medium rare and got medium well. Our server asked if I wanted to get a new one but I was hungry and had eaten a quarter already so I kept what I had. Located at the corner of the city square in old hotel. Very cool vibe from street. It was St Patrick's Day so kinda crazy on the street. Inside has a nice old school cut glass bar and a bunch of booths in back and a couple tables upfront overlooking the town square. Largely pub/bar food and limited menu. We landed on the Mac and Cheese and the Steak Salad with blue cheese dressing. Pretty standard bar food. Service was good, not great, very low energy, which is fine. We felt like only visitors in the place. Most of the bar patrons seemed to know everyone and were engaging the bartenders. Parking rather tough, it's all angled on street up against town square. Highly attractive restaurant right in the heart of Downtown Prescott. The restaurant has a family pub type feel which is very inviting. We stopped in for lunch. Service was friendly. We ordered club sandwich which was delicious, filet and eggs (done very well), and Mahi Mahi Fish and chips. I don't normally go out for breakfast but my friends decided to give this place a try while in Prescott and I do not regret it at all. The pancakes were one of a kind. They were fluffy and cooked to perfection. This place is worth the wait, especially if going during a busy morning. The breakfast potatoes were also unique and good! Stumbled in for an early Saturday evening meal and was not disappointed! Charming interior replete with all the charm of this historic building and space, with absolutely delightful service and great food. We split the coconut shrimp and were pleasantly surprised that it was perfectly cooked (not greasy) and the sauce was legit - made with actual bits of coconut. We also split a HUGE burger and fries - more than enough for two of us. I enjoyed their Cadillac margarita and it was perfect - tart and delicious with generous salt on the rim. We were staying at the Hotel St. Michael on Easter. We hadn't planned to dine here twice but some places we were considering were closed for Easter. That turned out to be fortuitous. We both ended up doing a kind of soup and salad for dinner. I couldn't resist Hatch Chile & pork stew. It had great flavor but was pretty mild. The green Cholula sauce on the table kicked it up just right. I also had a fine Caesar salad that was not shy on the shaved Parmesan cheese. Mmmm cheese salad. My wife had the bistro salad and tomato artichoke bisque. She really liked both of them. The next morning we had breakfast. My wife went with the buttermilk pancake breakfast. She loved the buttery eggs and fluffy pancakes. I had the Brisket Benedict which was a great Southwest take on the benedict. Service was attentive and personal. I hate to leave a this but the amount of $$ we spent last night. The chicken wings were amazing with the dry rub and BBQ sauce on the side. My wife order a steak Sun Paivre dish was tough and rubber and I ordered the Braised Short Rib which tasted like a dry pot roast. The vegetables were asparagus, and carrots, were hard where you had a hard time cutting them. We left over 1/2 on both dishes. Our waitress did not even clue in. The steak was order med rare snd came out rare. Wasn't even asked if we wanted dessert. On top of everything else the restaurant was very cold and air conditioner was on and temps outside was cool due to the storm that came through. I will never recommend this place to my friends. Okay, so this place is right on the square, which usually means tourist trap, but honestly, it's pretty good. Expect a wait, though--it does get busy! The menu is definitely more on the savory side. I had the Corned Beef Hash, and you can tell it's homemade, which I absolutely loved. They have the classic brunch drinks, too, with solid Mimosas and Bloody Marys. My only complaint? This restaurant has changed names, menu items and prices in the past two weeks. If you enjoyed the Reuben sandwich, it's no longer available. More to the point, bacon and eggs, toast and potatoes are still available at several restaurants in Prescott for an average of $14. The traditional breakfast, without potatoes and offered with approximately 5 bite size pieces of fruit is $17. Beverages start at $4 and go up. We understand that costs are going up everywhere but we're not comfortable paying over $20 per person for breakfast and wanted to share the changes before you experience sticker shock. read more

Look no further, this place is perfect. Stayed at the hotel, and chose this restaurant for convenience. Little did we know this was the best choice in town! I had the tomato artichoke bisque with house made croutons paired with a superb Caesar Salad that had one of the best fresh chef made dressing I have had. This was our first time eating at Bistro St Michael and I think both my husband and I enjoyed not only our food, but the overall ambiance which was amazing! We went in for breakfast after church with a couple of our friends who had been here before and lucky for us, we got what I believe was the best seat in the house! We sat at a four person table tucked into a corner with a perfect view of a hustling Whiskey Row intersection. This place is located on the perfect corner in the historic Whiskey Row of beautiful downtown Prescott. It is a historic building which also houses a hotel. The interior of the restaurant tells a story of days gone by and is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, I've never stayed in the hotel, so can't say anything about it (for now?). Service was great and everyone enjoyed their selected dish. My friend had her usual Eggs Benedict and she said they were delicious. Her plate was wiped clean, so I'm going to say I believed her! Our other friend ordered the Whiskey Burger (?) and he ate every single bit of it too! Either they were very hungry or they don't believe in wasting! My husband had the French Toast breakfast, which he also said was very good. It was definitely well-served and he finished it all! The bacon was probably his fave! He loves bacon! A lot!!! I ordered the Smoked Turkey Club and it was good. My only complaint (which I never voiced!) was that the bread was neither soft nor toasted. It looked like it was placed on the grill (burn marks), but wasn't really toasted. I guess I'm just used to having club sandwiches on toasted bread??? Needless to say, my sandwich was stuffed with delicious smoked turkey and a whole lot of bacon. I selected fries as my side and they were the best! Super crunchy on the outside, but soft in the inside. Yummy! I did end up eating only a quarter of my sandwich, because I had plans to take it home and transfer it onto toasted bread! Told us about everything but why gives it three stars is because we got here about 730 they close at eight and we walked in and with an attitude she tells us you know we close at eight, right the new generation just does not know how to treat people they shouldn't be in the limelight. Melonai was exceptional--her customer service, the way she treated my family with love and kindness, and her ability to go above and beyond made the entire experience unforgettable. After spending the holiday at the hospital with my mom, we needed that extra love, and she provided it. Bistro St. Michael is amazing! We stayed on-site at the hotel and after check-in we wanted to find a quick place for dinner and ended up at the Bistro. Their Whiskey Jam burger and chicken sandwich were so delicious. My husband said the chicken sandwich was one of the best he's ever had. The next day we decided to try their breakfast. Their pancakes were fluffy and the bacon was perfectly cooked. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy as well. Finally, we wanted a quick appetizer later that night and decided to try the wings and chips and dip trio. We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking to the bartender and watching her make drinks. I had the Desert 75 and my husband had the Kentucky Peaches which were both some of the best drinks we had during our trip.
