I got the Breakfast Tacos and my wife got the Salazar skillet. We both really enjoyed our meals. For my tacos, I had one green chile brisket, one chorizo, and one carne adovada. They were all excellent, but I'd highly recommend the carne adovada. My wife really enjoyed her skillet. We both agreed that next time, we would each probably pick different items, but only because there were so many things on the menu that sounded really good! We went closer to lunchtime on a weekday and there was no wait, but I could see there definitely being a wait at breakfast time on the weekend, as the interior is small and has only about six tables. Came in to town for breakfast with a local friend, who likes the simplicity of the food here. I'll start with food. Portions are big for the prices. The homemade mixed berry jam is delicious. But that's sort of where the good stuff ends. The coffee has no taste, the sausage is a weird squished down link, and the pancakes lacked fluff. Our waitress was nice but kept forgetting things- never got water, got syrup instead of jam, didn't know the answers the questions. She seemed constantly rushed. We had an excellent breakfast in this cute cafe. The service was great and the eclectic decor fit right in with the Whisky Row location right down to bar stools where you can eat facing the kitchen. My Carne Adovada and veggie omelet was excellent, the pork was very tender and the butter hash browns were perfect - crispy outside, not oily at all and fluffy shredded potatoes inside. My family and I went to b simple for breakfast on Saturday and were met with a short wait. This restaurant is on the cozier side, with about 6-8 tables and bar seating with a sign outside that says no parties or 5 or up. After our brief wait, we were greeted immediately by our server and got our first rounds of coffee. I ordered the Clint skillet which comes with butter browns (potatoes) and I had to take half home. I ordered it with gravy on top, which id get on the side next time since it came with a lot. I loved my runny eggs, always a favorite part of breakfasts for me, and the skillet overall was delicious. I cannot believe I have lived in Prescott for nearly three years and I am just now reviewing this GEM, I said it Gem! If there is a wait, do it, it is well worth it. The location is small and they will separate large parties to accommodate everyone. We have eaten at B Simple three times now within the last month or so and every time it amazes us more. Let me start with the portion sizes are extremely large, my husband and I could share a meal, but I don't suggest that since there are too many amazing dishes to try! I don't normally start off raving about a side but the potato salad is world class, and so delicious! We have tried the Reuben, if you follow me you will find we love Reubens, the Ken which I highly recommend especially if you love biscuits and gravy. We have also tried both the Joe and the Clint, we enjoyed both it really just depends on the mood you are in, you cannot go wrong on either. Our daughter visiting from college tried the Tasty Omelette with the Butter Browns (their delicious take on hash browns) and let me tell you the plate could have past for clean once she was done. Long story short, this is a must for breakfast or lunch and if there is a wait you can check out a few of Prescott's shops on Whiskey Row, it's a win, win! The best! XANTHIA WAS incredible! Not only did she acknowledge us, but she acknowledged us with the smile, very friendly, radiant, and just so fun to have a conversation with. I'm so glad I cut down the amount of eggs in my burrito because instead of the 6 egg, I ordered the three egg and it was huge. I absolutely loved it. Such a delicious breakfast skillet that starts with a bed of "Butter Browns", which are some of the best hash browns you'll put in your mouth. Then comes a gustatory rock concert of tasty meats. Crumbled sausage, diced ham, diced bacon, etc. That's all smothered with a blanket of outstanding green chile, two eggs and cheeses. This may be the beast breakfast in Prescott (as they claim) but we will never know. We went on a Friday morning, there were probably 2-3 parties waiting in front of us. No big deal, happy to wait for delicious food! The eating space is tiny and the tables are packed in. There is very little space to stand and wait so we asked about ordering to go. The extremely rude waitress snapped at us that it would be while before she could take our order because she had to sit the other groups first (there were no open tables to seat them at the time). I love little busy cafes but something that tiny is an always going to be packed with a wait, so the servers should be used to that and not make it so unwelcoming. Found this little gem at the end of Whiskey Row. Husband and I were back in town and wanted to give it a try as we missed it the last time here. Very quaint and cute, loved the open-kitchen concept. It is a pretty small place with only about seven or eight tables and five barstool type seats at the counter. So be prepared you may wait, but it seemed like the tables turned over pretty quickly. I think most guests were very considerate and soon as they finished, they moved on and didn't linger. I decided just to have some scrambled eggs and sausage and I wanted to try one of their grilled butter biscuits. When I tell you, this is the largest biscuit I've ever seen...I'm not kidding!! It's like the size of a softball!! I guess they normally serve gravy on the biscuit however I chose to get jam instead , and they make their own jams and the three-berry one is excellent!! My husband had scrambled eggs, hashbrowns (that my husband loved because they were crispy on the outside !), bacon and toast. He loved it. Courtney was our server and she was so nice and funny. It seems she knew a lot of the locals, but she was as nice to us as she was to all of them. I'm serious when I tell you that I would go back there just in order to eat one of those biscuits again! Amazing food and generous portions. It's a small place so I'm sure there's a wait when it's busy, but we arrived around 11 on a Friday morning and were seated right away. The staff was attentive and friendly. I got the full order of French toast, but they do offer a smaller portion (which I probably should've gotten since we were just passing through town and couldn't take leftovers). My husband got The Ken and ended up leaving a whole biscuit covered in gravy on his plate - and he doesn't get full easily! I love biscuits so I ordered a side to try them here - the side is two large biscuits served with homemade jam. I chose the peach, which was delicious! B Simple is a great gem of a restaurant in Downtown Prescott. This is clearly an extremely ( and deservedly ) popular spot. This small space consists of 6 tables of varying size and about 5 bar spots adjacent to a busy and talented kitchen. When we arrived relatively early this past Sunday morning the place was full of patrons and some waiting for a seat. We were warmly greeted at the door and gave our names for a wait which, ultimately only took about 15 minutes. Once seated our menus and utensils came and we were quickly greeted by Ginger, our server, and offered water or coffee / tea. The menu offers a great selection of breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, etc. I settled on the "Joe" skillet consisting of ham, sausage, diced bacon, onions atop their signature butter brown potatoes. There are various options to top this. I had green Chile and eggs over easy. Amazingly good. My wife had the "Bogey": two eggs with butter-griddled buiscuit topped with yummy bacon-sausage gravy. Both portions are VERY generous, as are all the menu items it seems. For the price you really get more than your money's worth, I'd say. For such a busy restaurant, they are impressively efficient. Staff is great: friendly, attentive and very efficient. Ginger was great, checked on us regularly, refilled coffee all the while juggling several other tables. Everyone here is awesome. I'm rating this establishment purely on the impression of the first employee we met upon walking in as we did not eat here. We were visiting from San Diego and went in for breakfast. They were busy with a wait. When I asked the hostess about how long was the wait (as we were headed to OctoberWest at ERAU) she said in a pretty rude tone 'well you can see we have 6 tables and there are 3 groups in front of you so how ever long it takes for a table to open'. As a customer who just walked in I really didn't have the situational awareness she did as the employee, example; where were the current parties along in their meal, how long there typical turn over is, how long does it take for their food to come out, etc. seems like an actual time estimate could have been a much more pleasant and appropriate response. Too bad as I would've loved to try the food. Based on this I probably wouldn't visit again. To me service is almost more important than the food. read more
