"The owner is the biggest problem with this restaurant." I honestly don't understand how a restaurant can have such great servers and still leave such a bad impression. The staff were friendly, professional, and clearly trying their best, but it was painfully obvious that they were dealing with way too much pressure from management. Trina, the owner, was exceptionally rude. Not just having a bad day the kind of attitude that makes you wonder why someone who interacts with customers would want to run a restaurant in the first place. The way she interacted with people and delegated responsibilities made the entire environment feel unnecessarily stressful. And unfortunately, the food isn't good enough to make up for any of that. The food was disappointing, and definitely not worth what was paid for it. There are far too many restaurants where you can get a better meal without dealing with an owner who makes the experience unpleasant. The servers deserve a lot of credit because they were easily the best part of the experience. You could tell they were working hard and trying to keep things together despite the management issues around them. When the employees are the ones saving the experience while the owner is making it worse, that's a pretty serious management problem. I wouldn't recommend this place, and I definitely won't be returning. read more

Came for breakfast for a third time and it was so disappointing. My others visits have been grand. It's a cute clean place with friendly staff. My hashbrowns were completely raw. Staff never came back except to drop my check. The CFS and pancake were good. But it was super disappointing and I'll stick to Randall's when I visit from here on out. read more

Tables are nicely spaced apart. Have never seen this in a restaurant prior. Very clean. Service was great. Food was yummy. You could tell that many of the patrons were locals. Had shadow boxes with police and fire badges and patches. Also had a large seating area for those waiting. That tells me that weekends are probably busy. Also plenty of parking. Mediocre breakfast today. Nothing stood out. We did like the homemade corned beef hash but it was cooked with hash browns and green peppers. Points for drag corned beef but we prefer mixed with diced potatoes and maybe a little onion. Missed the mark for is. Biscuits, gravy with scrambled eggs covered in gravy were good. Not great. Not crazy about the biscuits or the gravy. Kind of had an "Alfredo sauce" flavor to it. Hash browns good well but too greasy. Service was great and we did enjoy of peaceful visit. This place is actually disgusting the food is extremely dry it tastes very bland and a lot of times everything's overcooked and the cooks there always mess up the eggs. Like how do you mess up eggs? And on top of that I got food poisoning there once. It was far much better when it was hobo Joe's that was great food. I don't think they're Cooks know that passion and love is the main ingredient to any dish. read more

The owner discriminated against me and my service dog. She never asked if I was disabled or what task my dog (in training) does for me when she confronted me at my table. Later on when I paid the tab she was rude. Later on I called her and she became verbally aggressive with me on the phone. She claimed I was feeding her. I didn't even order food. Just iced tea. She claimed I was trying to pass my dog as a service animal. My service dog has gone everywhere I've gone for the past year. No problems anywhere else. This place had a very laid back diner appeal. Advertisements on the table, Pepsi products, license plates and sassy signs for the decor. This place looked pretty clean, and a busser was actively cleaning up. They checked with us to make sure someone had taken our order. You get a good value for the money. I had a chicken fried steak sandwich with potato salad. The potato salad had a decent flavor, not overly salty and it didn't taste like eating a spoonful of Mayo either. I'd eat it again. The chicken fried steak sandwich was fairly tasty. I had mine with a little hot sauce and ranch. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickles & onions. It wasn't too greasy which was pleasing. Others in our party ordered a chicken ceasar salad which I was told it was very good. A child's meal of macaroni and cheese and French fries was ordered as well as biscuits and gravy, and a bacon breakfast burrito with hash browns. The macaroni and cheese appeared to be the standard Kraft m&c, but Idc it was eaten. The bacon burrito was "pretty okay" as I was told. (Idk I didn't eat any of it) Overall, you get a good value for the money, for fairly typical standard diner. read more

I like Annie's. It has a very friendly small town vibe. In spite of it's cavernous size it has a very intimate feel. I've been there many times but only have gotten the biscuits and gravy with eggs which is why I go. The full portion is huge so consider the smaller portion if you are not a big eater. This is a breakfast place with a variety of breakfast choices. They close at 2PM. Coffee is fine dinner coffee. Very much recommend to get your day started. read more

This is a classic, All-American breakfast and lunch spot(closes at 2pm so no dinner). I was treated very well by the Owner and server Tessa who is very courteous and professional. I had the Reuben(corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese) and a Cobb Salad with TO dressing(very good dressing). The Reuben was hot and yummy on a chilly day. The salad delicious and filling with alot of chicken breast, egg and avocado slices. I had enough left over for a 2nd meal. Highly recommended. read more

Friendly folks offering good food at good prices makes it a great tourist stop for before heading out for a day of hiking, sightseeing, etc. Location: Situated well on Mingus Ave so easily accessible from the 89A if coming from Clarkdale or Sedona. Plenty of parking in back if the front parking lanes are full. Ambiance: The concrete floors and bring a bit of a metro-modern feel to the small town diner. Really enjoyed the large dining area in aside the front, which offered a bit more privacy due to the space between tables. Service: All the staff was quick, polite and attentive. We were promptly greated, seated and served our drinks while we mulled over the menu choices. Coffee and water were refilled before going dry, while our server performed spot checks on us. Keep in mind we stopped by during non-peak brunch hours during a weekday. Food: Everything was prepared well. Egg yolks weren't broken when ordering over easy. Hashbrowns crisp as requested, etc. Pancakes were really good but not as fluffy as I normally like. But overall, everything tasted great. No problem recommending Anne's food. Cleanliness: Booth seats and table tops were freshly wiped down and void of any remnants of past patrons food. Love those concrete floors as it gave the "we keep it clean appearance." Looking into the kitchen from the plate transfer cutaway and stopping by the bathroom it was easy to see the same keep it clean principles applied in where it mattered most (food prep and relief). Overall: Had an internal debate between a 4 and 5 rating because we came during a slow service time, and with only 2 in our party. That didn't really give an opportunity to taste many dishes or see if the staff maintains it polite demeanor when swamped. Still, ratings should be based on the experience and with that I think Anne deserves 5 Stars and we'll definitely be back before hitting a day of hiking in Sedona or visiting Jerome. read more

So delicious!! I come here every Sunday morning for their Eggs Benedict and I am never disappointed; the sauce is amazing. The link sausage is also so flavorful. As I read the 15% off yelp provides statements showing "Show this screen to an owner or an employee to redeem your offer" and the cashier told me they don't do any transaction with Yelp. When I got there, it had good curb appeal and plenty of parking. Inside, I was greeted and shown a table. The menu was simple breakfast and lunch items. It typically closes at 2 pm but today was MLK Day and was closing early. I expected something 'ok' and received 'much better'. It was clean with a friendly and attentive wait staff. The was coffee hot and flavorful and the food was the same. The prices were reasonable to boot. If you're in the area passing through and looking to be impressed with atmosphere and wowed by the menu items and presentation - keep moving. The impressive element here is that Annie's is an atmosphere-free quintessentially straight forward food service establishment. It's an honest to goodness business intent on delivering something simple and straightforward while looking for nothing less than authenticity and quality - what's expected from a place that serves food.
