    Special Lindy Burger

Wow! What a cute hole in the wall place that I almost passed by! It's across from the haunted theatre, and underground!! Going downstairs, it was so cozy and felt welcoming. I got a delicious strawberry matcha (iced) with oat milk and a Monte Cristo while my fiancé got their lunch special burger with a side salad! We both ate it so quickly because it was soo good and then we got some pastries to go at the end! The owners (Linda and Rob) were so nice, smiles all around the building and we even got to meet the chef and thank him! Small town hospitality at its finest!!

We decided to visit Jerome for the day, so decided to grab some breakfast. This was one of the few places that was open at eight in the morning. Although there was nothing wrong with the food, it was just basic. I'm not sure if it was worth the price. It was a cute little diner. We had good service. Overall if you're in the mood for a simple breakfast, this would be the place to go to as it opens early.

Very quaint little cafe in a quaint little town. Fast, friendly service. I was excited to try the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fluffy and there was plenty of gravy (I was even offered more) however it was too heavily seasoned with paprika. It was a bit much.

In a quaint mining town, it's onaly appropriate to have a super cute local mining cafe that features awesome old school signs and wall decor paying homage to the mining history while also entertaining the guests! They have good food (we got breakfast!) and REALLY GOOD COFFEE in some of the coolest diner style mugs (so I had to get one)! Their coffee is sourced locally and is perfectly smooth and not bitter but packs that usual diner style coffee punch! They even sell it by the bag. Their breakfasts were really good - my bacon and eggs were done to my liking, the and the coffee kept flowing by our friendly waitress. The Monte Cristo was also very good...and i loved the Bee's Knees - buttered homemade biscuits drizzled with locally sourced honey! Definitely coming back on my next visit to Jerome!

Delighted to find The Miners Cafe is open early! I had a class and stopped to get coffee and was pleasantly surprised to find out there is also gluten free bread to have with your meal! Great cheerful service!

The is a fun and super friendly spot with great service and good food. Unfortunately when we stopped in I wasn't very hungry so I only ordered the avocado toast - the Ghost Town Toast. It was a nice small bite on what looked like healthy whole grain toast. You can add an egg for extra but the don't do hard boiled egg, so I added egg whites. I enjoyed the toast, but if I was hungrier I probably would have gone with the breakfast sandwich or a burrito. Those looked good too. They also had TVs that were showing Saturday morning sports, which was a bonus

If you're wandering around Jerome and need a morning pick-me-up, definitely stop by Miner's Cafe. It is such a cute little spot for breakfast or brunch with a really welcoming vibe. The staff were super friendly and got our food out surprisingly fast, which is always a plus when you're hungry. I had the avocado toast and it honestly hit the spot. They use really good, quality bread that held up perfectly, and the flavor was fresh and delicious. It's a great, no-fuss place to fuel up before exploring the town.

I noticed this cool cafe located under stairs.... when I see people walking down the stairs. Then I saw the signs of the cafe. How cool! I made a note to try it on my way back. I did stop in, I forgot to order the green chili quiche on the sign because I was thirsty for ice tea. I got a tea, cookie and a cake slice that looked coco nutty. All very good. I was glad to stop in such a cute spot, with cute art, cute seating and a cute little side patio w a mural. It was a nice quiet hideaway secret spot that prob many locals adore. And a lucky few like myself get to stop in!

While strolling through jerome on a very hot day, we googled coffee shops and to our delight, we found a very clean and fun coffee shop called Miners a cafe! The two very inviting greeters, Raven and Savannah, were behind the bar making coffees when we walked in and were super helpful picking latte flavors for me and very friendly and fast. I got the caramel vanilla latte with oat milk iced and boyfriend hot vanilla late with whole milk iced and extra espresso shot. We were so thankful to them as we strolled around in the heat drinking the coffees exploring town. The tee shirts were really cool and we didn't walk out without buying a smoking nun shirt, that would be impossible. Too cool and very fun place.

Found this little gem in Jerome. Fantastic family welcome and the best breakfast I've ever had. And it was just the avo toast! Are you kidding me? It was unbelievably scrumptious. Momma of owner was bringing in her home made pastries and welcomed us in with our 2 dachshunds. To say the least, I was pleasantly surprised. And still think about it months later.

The good: Cool atmosphere and decorations, good music, and I honestly thought the food was really good! I got the yogurt parfait and it was tasty- vanilla yogurt, fresh berries, and good granola. The bad: wow, really slow service. From seating to leaving was almost an hour and a half. It took 40 minutes to get food. It took almost 20 minutes to get a drip coffee that was brewed WAY to strong, and I love a good coffee. I could tell pretty much all the tables were bored and waiting to either order or for any service at all. Not sure if it was a good value- $10 for a yogurt, and $15 for a two egg breakfast seems steep. Overall: I would go back if I wasn't in any sort of rush and try something new.

Traveling back to Arizona, we knew we had to return, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. The filet mignon is simply out of this world--served sizzling in a cast iron skillet with clarified butter, it's incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It's the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff consistently go above and beyond, creating an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. And Michael, the manager, is exceptional--so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel taken care of. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of quality and consistency twice, let alone make you want to keep coming back. Without a doubt, one of the greatest dining experiences in the USA. We'll absolutely be back again.

My cousin and I were lucky enough to swoop right in before the kitchen closed. We shared a grilled and cheese sandwich ($10.75) + ($4.50 for the ham). To be honest, I felt a little impatient waiting for our sandwich because given the space and kitchen, I just expected a simple grilled ham & cheese situation. Instead, out came the most glorious grilled ham and cheese I have ever encountered. It was beautifully crafted - 2 types of melty cheese (cheddar + havarti), a thick slice of honey ham, topped with fresh spinach all sandwiched between two toasted slices of garlic butter-ed whole grain bread. It was unexpectedly gourmet and a perfect treat after trekking up and down the hills of Jerome. I'm pretty sure I met Chad during our quick meal. He's nice. And Flatiron is the perfect pit stop.

We popped in on a Monday morning hoping to score some great grub and we certainly found some! Cubano ($20.95) - Starting with the bread - it's really fluffy, not toasted or pressed as with usual cubanos. Unfortunately, it's probably a little too light for the sandwich because some parts get mushy from being soaked in all the dijonnaise. The dijonnaise is very sweet, creamy with a mustardy zing. I think they add a bit too much, making the sandwich more fatty and messy to eat than I like (not to mention what I stated before about it soaking into the bread). The meat is fantastic. Both porchetta and ham are griddled on the flat top, giving them a developed and concentrated edge. The ham is to the point of being like country ham, while the porchetta still has great seasoned porky flavor. I believe they griddle the swiss cheese alongside the meat. It melts and crisps up into a cheese skirt, adding a fantastic texture to the sandwich. There's a lot of crinkle cut pickles underneath the meat, but it's not enough acid to cut through all that fat. Sandwiches come with a side of house chips. They are fried until a darker golden brown color, but aren't burnt. This gives a great kettle chip-like crunch. Even with different sized chips, they are very evenly fried with all chips being the same texture. They are salted the perfect amount. (4/5) Aleppo Pepper Pastrami sub Tomato Soup ($22.75) - This place is famous for their pastrami, and I can tell the quality. It's cooked on the griddle until it develops crisp edges. It's fatty, but the fat is rendered so there are no chewy and leathery parts. The meat is extremely tender and thinly sliced. It's honestly almost like bacon in texture, but the taste is completely different, with the exterior spices and pepper making a huge impact along with the rich concentrated meatiness inside. The bread is a nice toasted sourdough, not strongly sour in flavor, but definitely noticeable. The bottom slice is slathered with plenty of nopales studded cream cheese. It's added in a large amount and is an extremely creamy and fatty substance yet somehow doesn't overwhelm the sandwich. It's warm but not melty. The nopales are clearly there but I didn't find it to contribute much. The pastrami is layered on top of that followed by a ton of sweet brown caramelized onions that are very tender. An entire green chile, roasted and super smoky, is above that. Finally, aleppo mustard is spread on the top slice of bread. Between the green chile and the aleppo, there's a slight warmth that tinges the sandwich. It's nothing too spicy. Instead of chips, we opted to sub the Tomato Soup (no fee). It's very homestyle, full of tomato richness in a thick blend. It has a strong tangy tomato essence. There's basil oil drizzled on top for a boost of freshness. The soup is unfortunately quite a bit too acidic for my tastes, but that's only by itself! While very acidic, the soup is actually great as a balance to the sandwich (along with the pickle of course) since there's so much richness and fat coming in between the bread. (5/5) Proper Meats + Provisions definitely serves some great sandwiches. We were considering visiting again for our 2 full days in Flagstaff, but weren't able to make it because they close so early at 6!
