This is a cozy, small eatery serving interesting and flavorful meals with friendly service. Outside…read moreof the colorful interior are sought-after patio tables. I had the Chicken Stir Fry. This innovative dish, for a Mexican place, was based with a yellow rice mixed with the tender chicken, mixed (basic) vegetables, and freshly-cooked green peppers, broccoli, onions and mushrooms. For style and taste, fresh tomatoes and avocado slices were on the edges of the plate. The sauce was mildly salty with a light soy and green chili taste - held together with thick gooey Monterrey cheese. I enjoyed this the richness of this dish. My eating partner had the Polle Mole (pun). This was chicken breast in a dark mole sauce, with the earthiness of chocolate and some sweetness to bring out the flavor. Unexpectedly good eating. Yay!

Walked in and what a pleasant surprise. Colorful interior with plenty of alcoves. Mexican music and a pleasant hello! Family owned restaurant and Jose was my server. In fact he was the server, bartender and cashier for everyone! Menu had many choices and I spotted Chicken Mole Enchiladas Rice & Beans! Big score and it was awesome! More than I could eat. What a great dining experience! I will definetly be back.

The flavor balance was spot on, and the and the sourdough was a total game-changer. Total happy accident finding this place! After missing the breakfast cutoff at Udderly across the street, we gave this spot a try shortly before they closed. We also ordered the cinnamon roll with browned butter icing, which was a total standout. It was huge and so good that we'd polished it off before our sandwiches even hit the table. It's a miracle we didn't order a second one! Even though they were out of a few items since it was late in the day, it didn't matter. This is officially a must-visit whenever I'm back in the area!

The sourdough bread is enough to come in for...and then there are the sandwiches and salads and sweets. There are many varieties of bread, I personally opt for the Artisan. It's sliced which I love, and even homemade it has strong shelf life! The only sandwich I get when I come here is the Chicken Basil Focaccia. It's two meals for me as it is massive. Lots of sliced chicken, lovely fresh basil and an amazing aeoli. Served with either chips or a side salad. The focaccia is out of the world...light and airy and full of flavor! To be honest I've never ordered the pastries or cinnamon rolls but they look absolutely amazing and people rave about them! Hours are funky so check before coming out...I've been disappointed before, lol. Interior seating available and to-go options offered as well. I'm a proponent of supporting small business and this is a great one.
