Salt & Pepper opened for business at the new location, 2970 Park Ave, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314, on July 1st. It's a 2 minute walk from the Harkin's Theater in Prescott Valley. Of course, the same eclectic menu, delectably delectable food quality, artistic presentation of tastebud tempting fare combined with great customer care made the move to the new location which is light, bright, expansive, has covered outdoor seating in addition to indoor dining, a dedicated coffee bar, and thankfully, plenty of free parking. This restaurant is one of our favorites, in particular because they are gluten-free aware and I am celiac. My understanding is the owner is also celiac. It's wonderful to know that when you go to a restaurant, the staff will be aware and considerate of your special need. Love the menu! So diverse, so interesting in its offerings compared to the usual restaurants in Prescott Valley. Definitely a step above the rest! The new location in Prescott Valley is fantastic! Welcoming, tastefully decorated and wonderful ambience. The only thing I would say that could be improved upon, is that the large plates sometimes leave something to be desired with the presentation. I got the three tacos served on a metal stand and the rest of the plate was just EMPTY looking. Looked like it was missing something. A little garnish or even a little bit of pico de gallo, some cabbage and chopped tomato... anything would have made the meal more attractive in its presentation. Same thing with my husband's sandwich. A large white plate with lots of empty space. Small sandwich, & small portion of french fries. Food was very good, but it's kind of a mixed message when you have a plate so large that it makes the food appear as if you're getting small portions. Just something to consider for the owner perhaps. The manager was delightful and came out to ask about my gluten-free needs and educated me about the conditions in the kitchen and so forth. What a fun cute local brunch spot. You can tell it's local as the inside isn't beautifully designed- it looks like it's been there for a while but the food is good. I ordered the egg white scramble but substituted the salmon for chorizo- I think this was a good switch as I'm not sure why there is salmon in an egg scramble. There were a ton of options on the menu (healthy and non-healthy) Most of the dishes were plastic which was a surprise to me given it's a brunch spot. Price point wasn't too crazy and the server was very attentive especially with us being a large party and other people coming over to our table as we ran into some people we knew. Parking is the worst and I would definitely avoid going here in the future although the food was great (no complaints) the restaurant could occupy quite a few people and it has a very small parking lot. There isn't anywhere else to park outside of in front of the restaurant as the businesses around the restaurant state no parking + the business in the back won't even allow you to turn around. read more

The food was ssoooooo good! We had no idea what we would find in Prescott and were honestly amazed at the quality. Breakfast burrito had crispy potatoes and bacon inside and the egg was on top which I love. The sauces on top were also wonderful, the tomatillo (green one) was my favorite. Husband absolutely loved the French toast. We will be back here everytime we are in Prescott. Service was also very friendly. They were busy so they got a little backed up, but the food and friendliness made it worth the wait. Looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu! read more

This is a pretty no-nonsense breakfast and lunch place. Very busy. Not much parking on-site, so you have to find a place where you feel comfortable parking. There may be a designated remote lot, but I wasn't aware of it. I had the huevos rancheros. Really good flavor but the green sauce was a bit tangy for me, so it's tough to eat the entire plate. Found this spot on Yelp when I was looking for a diner to have breakfast at before I headed home on a Sunday. The place was small, but we were seated within 15 minutes, and they send you a text when your table is ready - so that was nice since there wasn't many spots to seat inside while you wait. What we ate: Steak and Eggs: THIS WAS AMAZING!! so much favor and well balanced, 10/10 recommend. Cannoli French Toast: It was exactly what it sounds like, French toast with a Cannoli placed on top. It was good, but nothing that was out of this world. It was sweet enough that I didn't need syrup, I enjoyed it - but I wouldn't order it again. It definitely needed some eggs on the side. Side of regular bacon: You get to choice between maple bacon and regular bacon, we got the regular bacon, but when I saw another table with the maple bacon, it looked so much juicer. When I looked around to everyone else's meals, everything looked tasty and portions are larger. The Staff was pleasant and the turnover of tables was quick. My favorite part - FRESH HOT COFFEE!! I don't know what it is about fresh, hot diner coffee, but it hits so much harder than regular coffee. read more

Wow! I'm from CA and my sister brought me here for their soft opening for their new location in PV. I am not a breakfast fan but this place is AMAZING! I had their churro french toast and biscuits and gravy. The churro french toast is to die for, I am definitely a texture person and it has just the perfect amount of crunch. The biscuits and gravy are like something I've never had before. The biscuits are buttered and maybe pan toasted and the gravy was so delicious! And the maple sriracha bacon OMG you must get it! I can't wait to come back and visit and eat here again! It is beautifully decorated and has music playing, definitely relaxing breakfast vibes. 5 STAR PLUS! I had breakfast with friends today, and everything was Yummy/ amazing. I had the poblano omelet, the flavors danced in my mouth. We shared the biscuit & gravey, by far the best in town. This place was our last stop on our way out of Prescott, and we loved it! We were looking for some quick diner-like food that was local and yummy. This was it! We had the prosciutto Benedict which hit the spot. I had the omelette and it was the perfect size. We also split one pancake as a sweet treat, and the pancake was fantastic. This place really does give a diner feel and we loved it. Super small and quaint with very friendly staff. We sat at the bar and watched everyone work, and they work hard! Great place for breakfast or brunch, but please come with lots of patience as they are still trying to settle in at their new location and the wait time maybe 15 to 30 minutes. Their checking-in system needs improvement, too many people in their small lobby just waiting to be seated so you walk in not knowing whether they are in line or just hanging out. Regarding their food, their Nutella waffle was amazing, will definitely be ordering it again. Their montecristo sandwich was good but something was different about it, it may have been the sweet and spicy sauce that is served on the side, it was too watery not the same as when I first tried it at their previous location which made me fall in love with this sandwich. I may order it again but not sure. Last but not least their chilaquiles were not the best, not only were the tortillas chips just soggy but their red salsa was super salty, the only good part of that dish were the black refried beans. I will not be ordering the chilaquiles again. Overall a good spot. read more

We went to Salt and Pepper today for a late breakfast. The food was great, pictured is the BLT sandwich but unfortunately I took the picture after half the sandwich as eaten. I had a couple of eggs over medium with hash browns. The eggs were cooked correctly and although it was just sides I ordered, the plate looked great. Service was really good and the restaurant I'd clean. The staff does a great job. The parking can be a little bit a challenge when it's busy but it is well worth it. read more

We came here for breakfast while in town for the holiday parade. My gluten sensitive companion was so excited to see such a diverse options. She had the taco pancakes which were so cute and so delicious she couldn't believe they're gluten-free. I had a more basic breakfast with sausage, eggs and hash browns. The server was efficient and kind. It's a cute spot. Reviews talked about difficulty parking and lines but we did not experience that at all. We'll be back next time we are in Prescott. read more

Walked into the new location and was greeted by a young man who asked us if a high top table would be ok? I said yes then the I believe the owner comes up and says that I can't handle a high top table, that it would be an hour wait for a table. I then replied that you have all of these open tables why an hour? He responded by saying that the AC is out on that side. There was nobody around waiting for a table, so we were perplexed on the 1 hour wait? Also to say that I can't handle a high top table was wrong! I carry a portable Oxygen concentrator, because I had lung Cancer and only have half a lung left, is that why? As we walked out, I said oh well it is your loss, and I heard him mutter something under his breath. I will NEVER step foot into that place again! read more

Don't let the line out the door scare you away-- this breakfast joint can be understandably crowded, and it's because the food and service is genuinely excellent. Go early! If you enjoy a sweet start to your day, you'll be in heaven. Their sweet treats, (like the Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes and the Lemon Ricotta options) are fun & yum. However, if you prefer savory breakfast foods, you absolutely can't go wrong with the Eggs Benedict or one of their hashes. They also deserve credit for offering good gluten-free options, including a gluten free toast. The service is warm, fast, and top-notch, and the food quality is consistently great. The only slight drawback is the state of the facilities; the restrooms were a bit concerning and could use more attention to cleanliness. Despite that one issue, I think this spot is a must-try for a fantastic breakfast. read more

We ordered 2 Salmon Benedict and 1 Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict. The eggs were over cooked on all orders. The muffin was so hard, you couldn't even cut into them. 2 people ordered their hash browns well done and they were not cooked done. Replaced 1 potatoes with fruit. Had to pay $2 for fruit in small bowl and could not eat the fruit in the bottom because it was green. I do not mind paying any amount for a delicious meal but this is the 2nd time we have been there and it is not improving. The place is beautiful and bright and we need a good breakfast spot in PV but this is not the place I will be taking people again. read more

I'm not sure how the food is, because we never made it inside to try it! Online it says Pets Allowed. On Yelp, google, and on their website it says no where that only service dogs are allowed. We waited for a table for about 45 minutes to be seated in the patio area. When we were told there was a table, we were informed that only service dogs were allowed! We ordered take out from here because even though we are visiting in town we are both working today. The menu caught our eye. We had a variety of plates. I had the carnitas hash - full of carnitas, potatoes and tons of flavor! The green chili was not hot but the flavor was so delicious. Everything was so flavorful! Where the pain points come in - the parking. Now even though I went to pick up a call ahead order I didn't expect to not be able to find parking to go in and grab my order. The restaurant is next door to a few business that make it very clear "NO RESTAURANT PARKING!!" So I did call the restaurant to let them know I couldn't find parking and the person I talked to said they would just bring my order out and take care of the bill outside. I figured it was able to be rung up outside so I told her fine and waited...and waited...then someone came out of the restaurant to leave. I backed up so they could get out of the parking lot but the space was too tiny for my large truck, so I continued to wait. After a while, I just took the chance parked behind all the other cars to run in and grab my food. That's probably the only issue I had. Overall Parking is horrible, but they did seem pretty busy. The food more than made up for it! If coming here I would say pack some patience for parking or take a Uber. Ambiance, diner type vibe. Pretty standard for Prescott. read more

The kids French toast was great. Two of us ordered breakfast with biscuits and gravy. The gravy, eggs and hash browns were as expected. The biscuits were much less. I could not even begin to describe the biscuits. They didn't look, smell, feel, or taste like biscuits. I would not have ordered them but after asking the waitress and she said "I like them" only to find out later she had never tried them. I just want someone to tell me what that biscuit was supposed to be. If I go back, I know what not to order. read more

You know when you go out to eat, and the food is so good that it just makes an impression and before you're done eating, you're planning your next trip there already?! That is what we were thinking. All dishes were incredibly delicious. The burrito was huge, with all the staples you expect for breakfast! The pancakes were light, sweet, packed full of flavor in every bite. The monte cristo was ridiculously great. I had never had one, and it will not be the last! It had the perfect combination of savory and sweet. The service was good. It was extremely loud, but the place was packed, and the food was so good, we didn't really pay attention. Food and service are great at this little place. I don't mind paying cash for myself and wife, but I'd like some place to bring groups of 3-5. Unfortunately, the menu says there's a 5% upcharge (cash discount) for credit, PLUS a 3% credit processing fee. 8% total penalty for using a card is a not a customer-friendly deal to me for bringing in a small group on a regular basis. They have moved to Prescott Valley since most of these reviews were posted. There is plenty of parking, a huge shared parking lot. The inside is modern and bright with yellow and white. Nice patio. The new location is a huge upgrade. More room to park and the dining area is bigger with better ambiance. The staff have always been friendly and helpful to answer questions. The best part is the quality and taste of food. There are numerous gluten free options for gluten free people and a wide variety of other choices. This looked good on Yelp, so thought I would stop. Be aware... parking is a nightmare. They only have about six spaces & its surrounded by businesses with high traffic in & out. That said, once inside, both the wait staff & the restaurant were delightful. Turnover seems to be pretty fast & there was a steady stream of hungry folks walking in. I sat at the counter, as I often do, so I could watch everything. Food was coming out fast & the waitstaff were on it getting it out there quickly. My Prosciutto Benedict came out fast & it was delicious. Just the right amount of everything. When finished, I got an iced tea to go. Very bad experience at this place. Owner was very nasty towards my gay teammates, when we came into the restaurant. His excuse was, it was to many of us. Can't sit more than 8 a table.
