What a nice place! We stopped there for lunch and I got the Reuben of course. It was a respectable sandwich but a little dry. It was toasted/grilled caraway rye. The meat was real as you can see the muscle fibers in the slices. And about an inch thick. The Swiss cheese was again strong enough to withstand the ingredients. And the kraut had a good sour to it. And it was dry - probably the reason for the whole sandwich. Again 1000 island dressing was missing but also just a great sandwich. The waitress was as friendly as the neighbor next door. And the meal came out fast and fresh. They know how to serve. It's diner do nothing fancy, just good food fast. I recommend anyone coming to Prescott: if you are hungry stop here and have a meal. This place is so cute and the servers are so friendly. They are an establishment in Dewey and serve you so much food that you can eat two more meals off a plate unless you are a Hobbit. If you are looking for a straight forward, no frills breakfast, this is the place! Food was hot, made to order and fast. Waitress was efficient and kept the coffee coming! The place was packed at 8:30 in the morning and it's a seat yourself restaurant, which is kind of nice! No waiting for a hostess to seat you! I love this cute little place. We were looking for somewhere for a quick lunch and the website about the owners story got me to come here, and man it didn't disappoint. The food comes out quickly and it's great! We got the mexi burger and the kids burger. Both were great and the star of the show was the waffle fries. One thing that made me impressed was the fact that my husband and I ordered the mexi burger to spilt. When they brought it out it was split onto two plates with the side spilt as well. There aren't a lot of options in this small town (Dewey). This seems to be a pretty typical diner in a small town. In summary, it's ok. The sandwiches are decent. Only about 6", but reasonably thick with meat. The flavor was nothing special, but it was fine. The chili tastes fresh, but bland. I added some hot sauce (provided on the table), and it helped. The clam chowder was surprisingly good. Probably the best thing we ordered, and it was better than most other places in Arizona. I can recommend it. The fries had no seasoning, not even salt. By the time they were brought to the table, it was too late to salt them. It didn't stick, it just rolled off of them. If I could, I would give them 3.5 stars. Also, service was good. They were busy, but managed to check on us an appropriate amount. read more

This place is great. I really enjoy that I'm close by because their prices are good and the food is great. Biscuits and gravy are very good too! And their sandwiches and seasoned fries. While you're at it, order a delicious shake. The reason now for the 4 stars: I would like to add that you need to pay attention to what they are charging you. I have had two issues now where I got charged $25.50 for a sandwich that was supposed to be $11.99, and then got charged $13.99 for a dinner special that's marked at $12.99. I took photos of their menus when posting this, so unless they changed their prices, they are charging me wrong and/or other customers wrong. Fortunate to find this awesome cafe while visiting Dewey with the fam today! The restaurant has an awesome small town feel, but not outdated at all. It's everything a restaurant in a small town should be. The menu has plenty to choose from too, which is great for groups or families with different preferences. Three types of fries, normal, seasoned (waffle type) and country (thick potato slices - not wedges) - that's variety! Also, gluten free busks available. Between all of us I had all three, but if I had to pick one to recommend I would go with country because I haven't had those elsewhere. The food was great! Tenders were well made and cheeseburgers were both a favorite for the kids. The tuna melt was perfect, not overdressed tuna and crispy/toasty bread. We didn't get our server's name, but she was helpful and even mentioned which fries were gluten free without us asking when a gluten free bun was ordered. If owners read these reviews, it was a lady with glasses. The place has great food and great service, the best small town cafe/dinner I've been to. Will certainly be back. read more

We started with the Blueberry Pie, crust was amazing and Flaky. Then I moved on to the Double Mex Burger with cross fries. Bring your appetite. It was so good with the huge slice of anOrtega chilies. So my family and I were in the area and stumbled across this little cafe. It was absolutely delicious. It's self seating and we sat ourself at a big open table since their was 7 of us. The waitress was amazing she came right up to us after we sat and took our drink order and as soon as we were ready she took our food order. The food came out pretty quickly. It all tasted pretty fresh. I shared a blt with egg and a strawberry waffle with my fiancé which was absolutely yummy. My nephew had gotten biscuits and gravy and dang was that good I tasted a little bit of everyone's food because hey why not we're all family and every single bite I tasted was so good!
