Visiting relatives in Prescott Valley. Wanted a good burger and to relax. Found a GREAT burger and a cool place to hang out. Loved the "Build your own burger ". Concept. Very family friendly. Kid area to enjoy. A local soccer team came in with parents and siblings. Great vibe. Liked the atmosphere. The wife loved the burger , she built. Just like she wanted. Try it. Well Dads has a new burger to add to the already great burger selections. The pub burger! Yes it's a burger with all the things that make u want more. Just to let you people know the pub burger is as messy as it is delicious! So make sure your napkin's are handy. The delicious cheese sauce permeates the whole burger is as messy as it gets. read more

The ordering process needs some improvement. Having to wait for a large table of 14 (or multiple tables) to fully make up their minds before I can place my order is frustrating and inefficient. If I already know what I want, it shouldn't turn into a waiting game. Suggestion: Allowing customers to place their food orders at the host stand or before being seated would make things much smoother. Then drinks and the rest of the experience can happen afterwards. read more

Just know that I'm extremely critical when it comes to restaurants of any kind. That being said, this little joint is a hidden gem!! The burgers are amazing, all cooked to order & topping choices are just about endless. I rated it 4 stars only because we usually order & pickup. We've not dined inside so I can't rate the dine in service. They're consistently superb! Just fyi, when you order online they don't offer mustard or regular ketchup as a topping. You can request it in the (special request) but it may come in packets. Also, Dad's Ketchup is their own recipe & is different than regular ketchup. At 1st I wasn't sure about it but it's actually really good. You can also request your toppings on the side, which is a huge plus. Orders are always ready when estimated. Lastly, the portions are well worth the money spent & they have great offers when you sign up with your email!! read more

So here's another review of a great burger joint. I've been meaning to come by this place for a while and finally I did. The inside is very cute with picnic tables and artificial grass on the floor I went with a coworker, and I ordered the 7 ounce Wagyu burger and pick my own toppings. My buddy ordered the all-American burger, and we waited and enjoyed the atmosphere. When the food came, it was very good. Not the best burger I've had in my life, but no complaints. My buddies burger was good.. it said on the menu that It was a 3 ounce patty which I kind of don't believe because it looked bigger than that. The fries were very good. Service was great. I will definitely come back. read more

Does not serve alcohol - looks like a little food / bar and would be ideal for that. They need to get their liquor license and pay a little extra to get more. Just the way it is. read more

I found this restaurant when I arrived to town late. It really seems like an amazing restaurant if you have kids and you wanna hang out as a family they have a lot of large games and a play area for children. The Reuben sandwich I had was okay. It seemed to have too much sauce, but it was tasty. The service was great and the weight staff was on it. read more

This is probably a good place for families with children, although we found it a bit expensive for a burger place. The seating is picnic tables and it's just one large room. We won't be going back. read more

What a sweet little find on our drive through the area! Food was delicious and staff is on point. Our server was excellent at checking in on us often enough that we got everything we needed, but not too often to interrupt us being able to enjoy time together. It's got a cool vibe and definitely feels like you're hanging out in somebody's backyard. read more

My first visit was a little off but gave this place a second try this time with grandkids and they enjoyed it i went before we went to the pool and ordered food to go ordered the cheese curds and mini tacos appetizers and kids cheese burgers and fries and myself the buy 2 burgers for 12 but didn't realize they didn't come with fries , but all taste great kids had fun and service was great and this is a good place if your with kid's they have games and activities and clean fun picnic style atmosphere that kept them happy, if I have the grandkids or if I'm out with families with kid's and will recommend to others with their kid's. I will be back with the kids. read more

Took my husband here for his birthday. The young man who greeted us was very courteous & friendly. The ambiance & decor was like you were in a backyard with picnic tables and artificial grass. We sat down & the young man answered our menu questions and gave us time to decide what we would order. Great customer service! Hubby ordered a Philly Cheesesteak with everything on it & I ordered the Waygu burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato & onions and onion rings. As a first impression, we excited to try their food. At first bite, the meat was nice and hot but seemed like the buns were refrigerated because they were cold. This made the cheesesteak sandwich & the burger unappetizing. Is it so hard to warm up the buns prior to placing the meat & toppings on it? The burger was more disappointing because had their special sauce when I specifically asked for mayo only & didn't come with the onions I requested. However I will give them credit for putting the lettuce & tomato in the burger requested. I don't know if this was an isolated incident but they were not extremely busy that night and I just felt like the people in the kitchen didn't care and just went through the motions of cooking the food. I hope this constructive criticism encourages the restaurant to up their game & quality of how they serve their food. Needless to say the birthday celebration was not quite as happy as it could have been. read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Best burger we have had in A LONG TIME!! (Cowboy BBQ burger) The chili cheese fries were incredible & the smokiness of the pulled pork sandwich was fantastic! Eh. Burgers weren't anything special. We started with a pretzel which was hot and delicious. Fries were hot and crunchy but needed salt. I wouldn't go back for the same burger I had, but I'd consider trying something else on the menu. There are tons of burger choices. It is kind of expensive for burgers and fries. read more

Had been here once for takeout on a Sunday afternoon and was a relaxed setting. Unfortunately, went back on a Saturday at noon and it was packed. Waited for two table to open up side by side since we had a large group of about 10 people. Waited for someone to take our order. Decided to go to the counter twice to order our food since we all had our menus filled out. The first time they told us to wait at our table and someone would come by to take our order. But once we saw new groups arrive and had their orders taken before anybody approached us, decided to go to the counter a second time for a friendly reminder and that we had our menus filled out to order at once. The girl told us she was taking an order at the counter and she would help us once she was done. 10 minutes later I noticed she left the counter and walked outside towards the parking lot. After seeing that and 5 minutes later no one came to greet us while all the new guests were being served, we decided to leave. I was really hoping to try something new from their menu, but left with a bad taste in my mouth. Thankfully our next option of restaurant helped us immediately and food came out quick. read more

The Good... service was excellent. The Bad... Ambiance? What ambiance? Picnic tables? Made it difficult for our party of 8 to have a conversation that included everyone. The Ugly... getting the check. I ordered a Brisket burger w/fries and a soda. Brisket was devoid of any flavor, the handful of fries were delish, best part of my meal. The check--Yikes! $37.00 including tip. Price was outrageous for a brisket burger, a couple of fries and a Dr Pepper. Won't be going back. read more

I've been here twice - both times I've ordered their "special" of the day and BOTH were exceptional!!! Today (Easter Sunday) tried their Easter Special "Birria Burger" just the right amount of heat, value, and flavor!!! Thanks The fresh grilled jalapeño slices added the right amount of heat. Patty was cooked to perfection (medium well) and the battered fries were crispy and close in size to steak fries. First special was a 4 1/2 star - this one was 5 FULL STARS !!! One word review: Awesome!!! Service was exceptional also!!! Will be back! read more

Always great to eat here. A fun backyard inspired dining room, super friendly people, and the food is delicious. We had the best meal tonite at Dad's Backyard Grill! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles-it felt so welcoming! The setup is super cute and inviting with picnic tables, and a fun relaxed vibe that makes you want to hang out for a while. Our food came out exactly as we ordered it, and it was absolutely delicious! The hamburger was juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection. You can tell they put care into every detail. The food was delicious, the service was spot on and they were happy to see us, and the kids got to play and enjoy themselves instead of sitting still in their seats. Yes, children can play here, in the designated area! No, they weren't running around screaming and being disruptive to customers. It's not silent and it's not fancy but it was fun for all and the food was a hit all around. read more

Great food, slow service. Burger was solid, well-seasoned beef. Staff was a bit slow when busy. Clean and cozy spot.

WOW! After reading reviews in the local "foodie" group, and needing somewhere to hang out during a tire change, we decided to try Dad's. What a cute surprise! I've seen a few people complain about certain thematic elements, like the picnic tables, but what I saw was a charmingly executed theme with so much character! I love the simplicity of the ordering, but I may just be a sucker for "interactive" things. I got the fish n' chips and my boyfriend got the philly cheesesteak. Both were insane. As a transplant from Washington State, I'm always super wary of fish here. But that Pollock?! Stop right now. Amazing. 100/10. The philly cheesesteak was ALSO so good! I got a small taste but my boyfriend was reticent to share more. To top it all off was the french fries, truthfully I think the best in town. Perfectly seasoned and we suspect double fried for the perfect crisp fry. My one note is that the service was VERY slow at a time when the dining room was not full. Servers didn't touch tables after dropping food, our only drink refill came before our food did, and it took 4 or 5 minutes to get menus. It does feel that menus could be on the table at a place like Dad's, which I think would help service flow. Also, tables took a long time to be bussed so when we walked in, there were 2-3 empty tables but we could only sit at one. It felt a lot like they have family members with no food service experience helping out. Friendliest people ever, just need more training. To sum it all up? Phenomenal food, but service needs a lot of work! I can't wait to see how this local business develops. read more

Well, we went there because we thought, based on pictures on yelp, that they were dog friendly. Unfortunately they have posted Service animals only on entrance to their out door patio. I guess we'll never try their food. Too bad it sounded like they might be good. read more

We loved this place. Decor was fun, games available to play while waiting. Service was impeccable (they need to post the credit card service charge - or at the very least notify the customer when they bring the bill). We had the Brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich - excellent - with lots of meat. Would have been nice to have bbq on the table instead of asking for it tho. OK, first there was the rude service. We were not made to feel welcome at all, in any way. Second was the food. This was mediocre at best. I went with two others and all three orders were just so-so. I may go back, but it will be a while. read more

Kid friendly dining spot! Food was delicious, fresh, and generously portioned. The atmosphere makes it a great place for kids.
