Disclaimer: rarely 5 stars...always room for improvement. It's been some time since I've been here since my last review, but I was in the area and lunchtime came around. They have daily specials and I took advantage of today's special. A 16-oz beer and the Robbie cheeseburger for $11. I'm sorry, that's an amazing deal and well worth it. The cheeseburger was juicy and full of flavor (see the pics). I couldn't eat it all and took half home for later. It doesn't come with fries, like the normally priced option, so I ordered the jalapeño cheese curds again. I haven't had them since my first review and these came out hot and spiced just right. NOT greasy at all, which is amazing period. Again, I wish they had a chipotle or spicy ranch option for sauce, but the ranch did its job. The times I've been here I've found the food consistent. Service is always good...one bartender/server runs the day shift and she's good. Rimrock food options are slim, but the menu here is vast and there is something for everyone. I ordered a Cobb salad it appeared as if it was eaten by someone else before it was served to me it was a horrible presentation of a salad totally inedible and the service was lousy terrible and extremely slow and no one came to see how are food was or gave us refills on drinks they only came by to drop off the check and it was to F-ING expensive for that quality of terrible food I'll never ever ever go there again period! Ps waist of time!! Ps there was a drunk woman at the bar crying and complaining about her man leaving which disrespectfully disrupted the whole restaurant and no one told her to leave and she didn't shut up the whole time we were there. If you are ever in Rimrock, you will not find a ton of dining options. I've been driving by Robbie's for years and finally decided to stop here for lunch twice lately. It is a cool place with a big parking lot and a casual country vibe inside. Both visits, I was promptly greeted and told to sit wherever I'd like. My first visit I ordered the Rimrock burger and onion rings. The burger was tasty but unfortunately the onion rings were not even slightly crispy but I still ate them. Next time, I tried the green chile turkey melt and fries. The sandwich was salty but ok. Fries were very good. Service was great. I will probably give it another try. read more

Came here in a Sunday for biscuits and gravy, which were homemade and amazing! Ended up getting a donut to which was great. Came back for dinner and ordered some pizza and wings. The wings were some of the best I've had. The pizza was good, it kind of didn't sit right with me but it is what it is. Tasted great! That night the service was slow, it wasn't busy but we waited about 45 minutes for two pizzas and wings after being told it'll be done in 25-30, oh well. Went in on a Wednesday around noon. Had their fried pickles and they were outstanding--nice and crispy! My friend and I ordered the Rimrock cheeseburger with fries and they were delicious! We live in Cottonwood but will definitely make the drive over to Rimrock again to try other items on the menu. We did not have to wait long for our food and the lady working the restaurant was very friendly. If you are into sports, you can see a large screen TV wherever you are sitting (not sure about on the patio). There is a nice large patio area but it was a little warm out so we sat inside. read more

We ordered Fish & Chips and Shrimp & Chips Plusses, Tartar Sauce very good, Shrimp Sauce was Awesome. Both the fish and shrimp very good. I love a place that will make shrimp sauce that bites you.. Fries were average. Coleslaw was a disaster, pretty much tasteless and IMHO not very fresh. I would be embarrassed to serve it if I were the chef/cook. A good meal with a catch. I will come back, when the BBQ brisket platter comes back. I do not do good with heaps of carbohydrates, and I think most people might improve their health by taking this stance. So when the restaurant now only offers brisket as a sandwich, I do not feel that the owners have considered the well-being of their customers enough. first time in the area and checked the google machine for local places to eat. Robbies came up so we stopped. Staff was super friendly and actually looked like they were rushing to get everyone taken care of. Food was great and the all you can eat fish fry friday was awesome. We came back for breakfast on the way out of town 5 days later and had a differnt experience as the main restuarant is not open for breakfast. was bummed but the ice cream / breakfast side was good too. Wow. On the road between Phoenix and Flagstaff near Camp Verde is this gem of a rural restaurant. Cowboy bar inside, with a nice garden patio outside, and an ice cream shop next door. Great vibe all around and good service. "Foodie" influenced bar food. The brisket sandwich was on toasted ciabatta with a remoulade and caramelized onions. Had with an Arnold Palmer and a side of their delicious elk chili. Of course, got some ice cream after. What a delightful place. Usually on this route I stop for fast food. No more! They're also open for breakfast so will keep that in mind. Definitely would recommend. Not far at all off of I-17, but you have to know it's there! read more

Wow, the food is really good. Ate here twice in three days. Artichoke dip. Might be the tastiest cheesiest dip I have ever tried. It's more of a meal than an appetizer. Crab shrimp Mac and cheese. I have never seen a larger serving of Mac and cheese. Could feed a small family. I am assuming at least an entire brick of cheese went into that. The person who ordered was starving and ate 2/3. Which is an obscene amount of food in the gut. But he said it was awesome. Meatloaf. I don't think it is for everyone, but I am a sucker for meatloaf. This was slightly above average meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and Mexican style corn. But I loved it. It was so filling I could only eat half. Took the leftovers and they were just as good. Robbie's has a John Wayne motif in the small deadbeat town of Rimrock AZ off I-17. I was there on a 108° summer Wednesday afternoon and had a few patrons, mostly men in quasi-cowboy attire who are probably East Coast expats as many aging Arizona retirees are. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries combo to-go because there's nothing special about Robbie's to keep me in the venue among artificial buckaroo snowbirds. The patty could have been fried more, but it was not totally red, especially after I put it in a crockpot for an hour. The crinkle cut french fries were tasty with ketchup but not much different than any other frozen fry cooked in a vat of grease. The combo was quite large, so I saved half for the next day. Arizona, other than Native fry bread, doesn't have specialty cuisine. The state overall offers American entrees which many consider heavy foods. Robbie's is an eatery that indeed can be classified as a greasy spoon. read more

We passed by it every day we drove in & out and it was finally time to check it out. I was shocked to see the wide range of choices on the menu - pasta to salads, pizza and chicken wings. Burger and my black bean burger was awesome. Fries were awesome. It is a bar restaurant with a large bar in the middle, but we didn't drink - it was 11 am after all. Being a weekday lunch the place was empty but I could just imagine it as an all filled up honky-tonk bar to match its wonderfully decorated environment. read more

Let me tell y'all something, I knew something had to be good by the review I read. But let me tell you this, the shrimp and crab Mac and cheese, will have you having food-porn dreams and drooling like a baby. Props to the person making the food. Y'all, they have pie....! Peach Cobbler too. Yep, I know what your saying, "No, he didn't?". Yeah, they did!!! The ambiance, this place looks and sounds like it would be a lot of fun. We had our meals to-go, but we should have hung out a bit. It was karaoke night and they were having fun. The country music playing was even some that I listen too. I would have had to get up there and sang some Walker Hayes, "Fancy Like" to get the crowd laughing and singing along. Overall, this place is a hidden gem. We like this place, but my teen wasn't crazy about his hamburger. My hubby and I really liked our food!! We have eaten here before and we will most definitely eat here again!! The kid might order something besides a hamburger (cheeseburger) next time. I think the big "problem" is that it didn't have cheese on it, so the server brought a piece of cold cheese to put on it. Maybe the server will ask next time if someone wants CHEESE on their burger?? This place is super clean, and I like the local vibe!! We stayed at a nearby hotel(Beaver Creek Inn) which had menus of nearby restaurants. This little gem was one of them, and home to one of the best breakfast sandwiches that I've ever tried! I don't recall the name, but it was a play on eggs Benedict with spinach. The service was friendly and quick, so no complaints to be had. 5 stars! read more

DON'T DO IT! We waited so long to even be acknowledged and seated, the restaurant was not that busy. I still felt like maybe the 2 to-go orders and rowdy crowd at the bar were just a little bit heavy on the staff at that moment. We decided to stick around give them a shot, they have good review , food looked decent, our hotel recommended them so why not (right?). Let me give credit where it's due, our server was so cool, sweetheart really! My friends wanted to stop here to rest and have a quick appetizer on the road, and I'm so glad we did! It was three moms and three boys under three. And the server was so kind and accommodating--anticipating our needs and wants. Live music was playing; some country gentlemen who kindly tried to interact with my baby who was interested in their instruments. Then the food came and WOW! Portions were so generous, and everything was top notch. One of the burgers with bacon and cream cheese, the bbq pork Mac and cheese, the fish and chips, The kids pizza (made with any topping we wanted--we chose pineapple), the kids quesadilla, and the spinach and artichoke dip with fry bread! My wife and kids and I absolutely love Robbie's. Full disclosure we are regulars, but because we are regulars we know that Robbie trained under some of the best chefs in Sedona, and he brought that type of classical training and from-scratch mentality into his own restaurant. The au jus is made from scratch, the alfredo is proper 4-ingredient Alfredo, the pizzas are hand tossed with a delicious crust and high quality ingredients, and the burgers really are to die for. On top of that they have some excellent specialty cocktails, very high quality beers on tap including local ones, and the atmosphere is much bigger and more comfortable than you would expect from such a small town. Lots of parking, tons of seating indoors and out, tons of TVs, there's even video games for the kids. Not to mention you get a personal hello by the time you've made a second visit. The service was lousy, the food ice cold, and the owners attitude was terrible! We are local and I was treating my 81 year old mother. 15 minutes turned into more then 30 and I had to go ask for my food or a refund because my mother became nauseous and was waiting in the car, sick. I was snottily told I wasn't getting a refund and what we got was ice cold food and warm salad! It had been sitting there probably for half the time, seriously it was awful!
