Asylum Restaurant was chosen by our tour guide as our Jerome lunch stop and we really liked it! The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived on a Friday, and the interior was beautiful. It was located inside a hotel, which used to be a hospital and was rumored to be haunted. I loved the antique lighting fixtures and big gold-framed paintings on the walls. For drinks, I got the Lavender Grove Spritz, which was a little tart but tasty. For food, I ordered the Spicy Chicken Tenderloin Salad. This was so good for lunch - the perfect mix of healthy veggies and crispy buffalo chicken tenderloins. My friends loved their food as well including the Caesar Salad with Shrimp, Salmon Salad, Roasted Turkey Breast Sandwich, Flank Steak Sandwich, and French Fries. There was a bit of a mixup with chicken being left off one of the salads, but our server offered a complimentary dessert to compensate. I shared the Asylum Creme Brulee' for dessert with a friend, and it was amazing! The soft texture of the vanilla bean custard was perfect with crunchy caramelized sugar on top. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great choice for lunch!

We stopped by The Asylum inside the Jerome Grand Hotel for drinks, mostly to check out the location since it used to be a hospital. The decor is awesome and really plays up that old-school, spooky history effectively. We sat at the bar and our bartender was fantastic, but things got weird fast because the manager was incredibly rude, which made the whole atmosphere super awkward. We came for the cocktails, but definitely ended up with an unexpected show thanks to the manager.

We only stopped in for dessert and a drink, but it was such a wonderful experience. The chai was perfectly spiced and comforting, and the crème brûlée cheesecake was absolutely divine -- creamy, rich, and unforgettable. Sitting out on the porch made it even better -- the ambiance was beautiful and relaxing, with views that made the whole evening feel special. Can't wait to come back for a full meal next time!

We come to the Asylum every time we visit Jerome Arizona. The food is always amazing and is always consistent. Love love love!!!! Views are breath taking and the servers are always beautiful and pleasant to deal with. See you again soon!

    Bloody Mary and cannot remember.

We had a couple of drink my wife and I at the bar, I ordered a Bloody Mary and cannot remember what my wife ordered, the bartender very friendly started the Bloody Mary and grab the bacon with his hand and shovel in my drink, then grab a pickle from a jar with is bare hands and lay on the counter of the bar (not on a napkin but on the rubber mat where the drinks can be return), grab a couple of olive and put all together with bare hands, while we were sitting at the bar he made a a few Bloody Mary the same way and never washed is hands, we were at the bar for an hour, very disgusting. We sat at the table for lunch and the food was mediocre, no big deal. I would say the atmosphere was nice but not that great food nor great services, would never go again.

I thought the food was excellent....well the main courses were great. Bravo for a well executed duck dish. The appetizers were pretty meh. Service was nice but at the end our staff helper left crying...for what reason I have no Idea...it was not our party. Cool ambiance and probably the best place to dine in Jeroms. Bar was mediocre and the drinks watered down.

The service excellent from the moment we walked in! They had a way for my mom's wheelchair to get to the restaurant in the coolest elevator ever! The views and the ambiance of the place is just so beautiful and charming! The artichoke was cooked to perfection and my family is just so pleased we came here! Selena has the best service so ask for her!

Dined for lunch . Ordered one of the mock cocktails - cherry. It was a bit tart and had a nice medley of flavors. Ordered the pastrami sandwich. The dark bread was perfectly grilled, the pastrami was sliced a medium thickness, grilled onions completed the meal . Service was appropriately mellow. And the views... are spectacular!

Incredible dining experience, better than the last time I was there 6 years ago. Joseph was our bartender and he was bubbly, funny, and delightful, also very attentive to our needs. The drinks were perfectly satiating and well crafted. The tofu in the squash was actually way more delicious than I anticipated, and the sauce was mouth watering. My boyfriend got the grilled shrimp with brown rice and verde chili sauce and he said the shrimp was grilled perfectly. The size of the shrimp was larger than he'd expected and it was the perfect amount of shrimp to fill him up. Thank you shout out to Joy who booked our reservation and kindly greeted us upon arrival and sat us down promptly. It was a beautiful table she chose us, a scenic view of Sedona in the distance through the window. A perfect ambience, date night was lovelier than we could have ever imagined.

Stopped here today as it's a must while in Sedona, the service was great! I had the cheeseburger and fries, and that was good.

The dessert is AMAZING!!!! I came here with my mom and dad and we came for drinks and dessert. We shared the chocolate mousse and pecan pie! The Chocolate Mousee was delicious and the Pecan Pie was amazing!!!!! I also enjoyed the cherry lime bliss mocktail!! And our waitress wearing a sparkly 80s dress and glasses was amazing!! Definitely love to come again when I visit Jerome again!

A great place to stop in Jerome for a drink and to take in the view! They make a surprisingly incredible Bloody Mary with all the fixings! The service here was so friendly and fun. Ask them about all the random shenanigans that the hotel encounters!

We loved grabbing a quick afternoon bite here. The menu was creative with fun named drinks and the food was delicious. The tables all had paper on them and crayons to keep you busy while you waited for your food. Our waiter was friendly and told us stories of the Asylum. Great place to stop in. Also, you can drive up to the restaurant if you don't want to walk up the hill, the walk is manageable.

2 of us want to stop in for lunch T-F do we need a rez?

No you don't except for dinner but HIGHLY recommend you go elsewhere. The menu is dated, food not seasoned or cooked well and was overall very disappointing. Way overpriced for the quality.

    Dress code? Reservations?

Casual. I suggest just walking in.

Traveling back to Arizona, we knew we had to return, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. The filet mignon is simply out of this world--served sizzling in a cast iron skillet with clarified butter, it's incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It's the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff consistently go above and beyond, creating an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. And Michael, the manager, is exceptional--so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel taken care of. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of quality and consistency twice, let alone make you want to keep coming back. Without a doubt, one of the greatest dining experiences in the USA. We'll absolutely be back again.

The space has a bit of a warehouse vibe--casual, open, nothing fussy--but the service was friendly, quick, and really welcoming. We stopped in for a beer after a long day of hiking and thank goodness the beer here is icy cold. It was so refreshing! There were plenty of choices of beer on the menu for the day and we were able to taste a few options before getting a full pour. Our server was very nice and helpful. I ended up having 2 pints of the gold buckle honey lager. All the beers I tasted were fairly light flavored, which was great. Super cold and refreshing. The beers, I definitely enjoyed. We also decided to try some food as well. I noticed their kitchen is a place where they just prep and reheat items, and most things seemed microwaved. I'm sure the food was cooked somewhere but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Other reviewers seem to enjoy, but everything just tasted okay, a little bland, but we ate everything, it just wasn't my favorite. And next time when coming here I would just enjoy some beers because that was great! And staff were friendly.

Disclaimer: few 5 stars...always room for improvement…read more.. So I've lived in VV coming on 4 years and have read numerous reviews on all the restaurants at in the area. I knew this to be a breakfast place, of which there are many, but someone mentioned on another board about where to get Greek food and Georgie's came up again. Greek/Med is few and far between and a really good place just closed in PV. That said, I went in today. Specifically for the Greek menu. Gotta say. It was really good and will satisfy your gyro need. I ordered the spanakopita and a beef gyro. I expected phyllo triangles but was met with a mountainous portion baked amazingly. My first thought was please don't be cold...it wasn't. It was nicely warmed and so full of feta and spinach it was ridiculous. While the phyllo topping came off, it was rich and buttery and flaky and messy. This was enough for 2-4 people. Presentation was blah but taste is what mattered. The beef gyro came in a nice hearty pita that stayed together. The meat portion was generous. There was a bit more lettuce than I'd prefer but it was fresh. I'd opt for additional red onion next time and the cucumber sauce was creamy and just really good. No overpowering flavors. I wish they had tabouli and hummus and I'd eat there daily, lol! Service was lovely, clearly so many regulars. Servers are wonderful and friendly. Decor needs updating but you're not going for ambiance, you're going for good, down home food. I will be back!
