Asada Birria Tacos. Huge and delicious

The food is GREAT! The staff is amazing. Portions are generous. We will be back soon

The food was delicious!! I had the enchiladas-style chimichanga with pork and it was so good. Crispy outside with perfectly cooked pork. The rice and beans were also very good. I love that it came with guac and lettuce! The service was great and the restaurant was clean. I went for lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty quiet, but had a steady stream of people. I'd definitely come back!

*Also known as Mayas* My bf and I had a hankering for Mexican food and he immediately recommended Mayas and boy am I glad he did! As an American that was raised in Puebla Mexico- good and authentic hometown food is hard to come by and Mayas brought back nostalgia. I'm surprised the restaurant was more packed because this place is packed with flavor. Immediately upon entering we were warmly greeted and provided drinks. It didn't take long to scan their menu and settle on enchiladas. When the food came out it looked just like my abuela had loaded up my plate and no offense abuelita Bis but the food was a knockout compared to hers and she knew food! The prices are beyond reasonable, the portions are perfect the flavor is on point and the staff are friendly and attentive. I'm not sure if this is family owned and run but that's the feel I got. If you have a hankering for something south of the border- I recommend you stop in and try some feel good food that will feed your soul.

    Very bright and cheerful colors!

This restaurant had very good service considering we were a larger than average group. It was my first time here and quite frankly, didn't know it even existed! It is tucked away in a strip mall off the main touristy area of downtown Prescott (aka Whiskey Row) and unless you know, how would you know??? There was plenty of parking when I arrived at 11:15, but due to several other eateries, the lot is said to fill up quickly during lunch/dinner hours. I was early, so I guess I beat the lunchtime crowd. Frank's is much bigger than it appears from the outside and it is painted in very vivid colors that give off them Mexican vibes upon entry. It is actually quite cheerful! I was meeting up with a large group and was immediately directed to a room that was off to the back part of the restaurant. Menus were brought out as the room filled up and drink orders were taken as soon as we were seated. Chips and salsa were on all tables and though they looked fresh, I'm not too sure that the chips actually were since they weren't warm and tasted a bit stale. Salsa was a lot of tomato with a bit of a bite to it, but it was more like pepper than chile spice. I requested something spicier and the server quickly brought it out to me (in a tiny little metal cup that wasn't big enough to dip chips into). Our server was very pleasant and managed to take all our orders in a very efficient manner. Food came out in average time. I had read reviews prior to showing up and decided I would keep it safe. I ordered the Chorizo breakfast plate (served all day), which includes rice and beans, but I opted to skip the rice and to my surprise I was given hash browns instead! The chorizo was good, beans okay, and the potatoes were super salty! My dish also included tortillas and I chose flour. Everyone else in our group appeared to have ordered one of the lunch specials ($10.99) and the enchiladas looked exactly as other reviewers had posted. The sauce was very red and in my opinion looked like ketchup! The women at my table all said the sauce was okay, but I just couldn't get over the color! Chicken enchiladas were loaded with chicken, but chicken looked like it would've tasted very bland. Just plain pieces of chicken. No melted cheese. No nothing, other than very red sauce poured over the top of them... So glad I did my homework the night before! Individual checks were provided, so that made it easy for all of us to know our exact tab without having to break out the calculators! Two stars are for the service and I would give five, but I was here to review the food too! I can honestly say that I won't be going back to Frank's anytime soon. My search for good Mexican food in the central/northern AZ area continues...

Small location with limited seating that's a bit tight, but we made it work. Stingy with drinks- no free refills, and I think even my iced tea only had one free refill. Menu had many options. I got the Chile rellano and was disappointed with the lack of spiciness. I'm assuming they are not made in house so I can't really blame the restaurant for the spice level. Beans & rice were standard sides- nothing memorable either way. About 20-30 minutes after we got there, it really filled up, and it was very noisy. I had a hard time hearing my companions at times, and part of that was from (I assume) a female owner who was *very* loudly talking with (I assume) a regular. Women's bathroom was icky. Dirty, dark, and served as a storage room for odds & ends.

The best mexican food in town. Try the tri tip, its amazing. The best salsa too. The owner is always working here too.

We came in for breakfast and wow!! The pozole soup was the best we have ever had! We also got the huevos machaca!

Delicious food, very good service. I would definitely recommend. Be sure and ask for the extra hot salsa. Space in back for large groups.

Then I met some friends in Prescott Valley for early dinner about 3:30pm and had the chili relleno & taco combination. Ambiance was nice and service was OK. Missing was a happy hour margarita. Mi Tierra looks beautiful when you walk in, but the experience falls apart fast…read more Our server was kind but overwhelmed. Lukewarm food on scorching plates. Soupy beans. Flavorless rice. The beer I ordered showed up as the meal was basically finished. The real issue was this stupid coupon. It said nothing about needing to be printed. Not one word. Yet after we presented it, we were abandoned for thirty-five minutes with no explanation. Our server disappeared. The manager spent the night taking shots at the bar, yelling with friends, and ignoring the entire dining room. Only when I found the to-go cashier did anyone tell us about this "printing requirement." It was never stated anywhere. The silence felt careless and disrespectful. By the time the forgotten beer was added as a separate bill, I was furious and ready to leave. Mi Tierra is beautiful on the outside, but the leadership is precipitously bad. A place that promises hospitality and delivers disappointment. COMMUNICATION IS FREE!!!!
