Delicious food, fresh and plentiful. Friendly, attentive service. Reasonable prices. The carnitas were well prepared, lean, tender; just needed green salsa which they don't have. Quesobirria tacos were amazing! Lots of juicy shredded beef. So glad we came!

The food was delicious!! I had the enchiladas-style chimichanga with pork and it was so good. Crispy outside with perfectly cooked pork. The rice and beans were also very good. I love that it came with guac and lettuce! The service was great and the restaurant was clean. I went for lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty quiet, but had a steady stream of people. I'd definitely come back!

*Also known as Mayas* My bf and I had a hankering for Mexican food and he immediately recommended Mayas and boy am I glad he did! As an American that was raised in Puebla Mexico- good and authentic hometown food is hard to come by and Mayas brought back nostalgia. I'm surprised the restaurant was more packed because this place is packed with flavor. Immediately upon entering we were warmly greeted and provided drinks. It didn't take long to scan their menu and settle on enchiladas. When the food came out it looked just like my abuela had loaded up my plate and no offense abuelita Bis but the food was a knockout compared to hers and she knew food! The prices are beyond reasonable, the portions are perfect the flavor is on point and the staff are friendly and attentive. I'm not sure if this is family owned and run but that's the feel I got. If you have a hankering for something south of the border- I recommend you stop in and try some feel good food that will feed your soul.

    Very bright and cheerful colors!

This restaurant had very good service considering we were a larger than average group. It was my first time here and quite frankly, didn't know it even existed! It is tucked away in a strip mall off the main touristy area of downtown Prescott (aka Whiskey Row) and unless you know, how would you know??? There was plenty of parking when I arrived at 11:15, but due to several other eateries, the lot is said to fill up quickly during lunch/dinner hours. I was early, so I guess I beat the lunchtime crowd. Frank's is much bigger than it appears from the outside and it is painted in very vivid colors that give off them Mexican vibes upon entry. It is actually quite cheerful! I was meeting up with a large group and was immediately directed to a room that was off to the back part of the restaurant. Menus were brought out as the room filled up and drink orders were taken as soon as we were seated. Chips and salsa were on all tables and though they looked fresh, I'm not too sure that the chips actually were since they weren't warm and tasted a bit stale. Salsa was a lot of tomato with a bit of a bite to it, but it was more like pepper than chile spice. I requested something spicier and the server quickly brought it out to me (in a tiny little metal cup that wasn't big enough to dip chips into). Our server was very pleasant and managed to take all our orders in a very efficient manner. Food came out in average time. I had read reviews prior to showing up and decided I would keep it safe. I ordered the Chorizo breakfast plate (served all day), which includes rice and beans, but I opted to skip the rice and to my surprise I was given hash browns instead! The chorizo was good, beans okay, and the potatoes were super salty! My dish also included tortillas and I chose flour. Everyone else in our group appeared to have ordered one of the lunch specials ($10.99) and the enchiladas looked exactly as other reviewers had posted. The sauce was very red and in my opinion looked like ketchup! The women at my table all said the sauce was okay, but I just couldn't get over the color! Chicken enchiladas were loaded with chicken, but chicken looked like it would've tasted very bland. Just plain pieces of chicken. No melted cheese. No nothing, other than very red sauce poured over the top of them... So glad I did my homework the night before! Individual checks were provided, so that made it easy for all of us to know our exact tab without having to break out the calculators! Two stars are for the service and I would give five, but I was here to review the food too! I can honestly say that I won't be going back to Frank's anytime soon. My search for good Mexican food in the central/northern AZ area continues...

Excellent Food Service is top-notch. You can gauge a Mexican restaurant's quality by its tacos, and theirs are excellent.

Chips and salsa are served to start and the salsa was borderline sweet and fruity. We had the cheese crisp as an appetizer and it is a good portion. Plenty for at least 3. Next we had cheese enchiladas with green sauce which was unique. A been tostada, veggie burrito which comes enchilada style unless you ask them not to (I forgot), beans and rice and a steak taco. All are solid and the beans are great. Solid restaurant with a large menu.

I moved here from a place that had very authentic Mexican food, my first choice was to try the Chile Verde here..... I make my own chili verde and tomatillo's are a main ingredient. The meal that I got was oily and overly spiced with Mexican oregano. I couldn't taste anything but oregano, which I thought was so odd. I could not detect any other spice and wondered if there are tomatillos in their recipe. I'm giving a 3-star review because the people were very nice. It's a very nice establishment and maybe I'll go back and try the enchiladas and get simpler with my order. Just my opinion, but the verde just did not hit the mark with me.

First and damn we didn't get servers name -she was great. We ordered chips and salsa which looked to tomato based but it was still delicious. We also ordered the mussels w Parmesan (rich and delicious), the salmon tacos -large, the Beef and garlic, and the shisito peppers. The shishito peppers were unusual, slightly sweet and had other vegetables. The salmon tacos were a generous portion, the beef and garlic contained large pieces of garlic amongst the sauce for the chunked beef. The Parmesan mussels are quite rich and delicious. We will definitely be back.

We had a reservation and were excited to finally try it! I ordered the Chorizo Hash and it came out as a plate of ground chorizo with a very small amount of diced potatoes. I assume what happened was they batched it with other orders and mine was the end of the pan. It happens. No big deal. I asked the waiter for some additional potatoes as it was unbalanced and he started counting potatoes in my dish!!! He got up to 5 and then looked at me like I was the idiot... this is after we sat there for 20 minutes before he even took our order. We wanted to have a drink or two first, but felt compelled to order as service was slow already. We made the right call... food took a while to come. We also had Brisket Tacos, which were decent but not warm. The margarita had soda in it... a travesty. All in all the food was average but the attitude of the waiter ruined the experience. I had high expectations. We will give it a whirl again at some point and if that is pleasant, I will update this review. I just couldn't let this service slide... he was TERRIBLE.
