10-27-2026 Ate dinner here with my daughter at ~5pm & had NO issues getting a table. We had called earlier & were told they only take reservations on the weekends (guessing less busy season). We asked our waiter about sharing a cup of mushroom bisque soup but he said it was so small we shouldn't. So we each ordered a cup. The Soup is VERY heavy & herbal (think heavy thyme) - we should have shared it. I also got a chai latte that was just OK, & I wouldn't order it again. Daughter enjoyed her Steak Frites but thinks the Bangers & Mash she had here last year was better. I ordered the shrimp gnocchi with NO tomatoes. However, i thimk the sauce is tomatoe based & has light cajun spices. The Gnocci was light & delicious tho. Next time we eat here I'm going to try the mushroom version & ask if they can add shrimp to that. Know that the Restaurant is small with 2 indoor seating areas & 1 unisex bathroom (to left after enter front door) with NO changing station. IMO it's the cutest restaurant in town but the ambiance is better than their food. This was my 2nd dinner visit. I've never eaten any other meal here. I'd like to try lunch next time. read more

food was good hospitality not so much. I was looking forward to trying this particular spot as it was recommended by a friend. After we were seated, I asked if we can enjoy a couple drinks and wait for the lunch menu to start which would begin in about 12 minutes. We were told we would have to get up as there were other clients waiting to be served breakfast. After we got up, I noticed another couple being seated and being told that they're currently serving breakfast. Did they want lunch or breakfast? After they chose lunch, they were still seated after we were told to get up and wait. I ordered an Irish coffee. It was too sweet and strong, and I asked for it to be diluted with coffee., the owner told me she charges extra for that. I didn't care about the price, why would he say that ? We had ordered des which was never brought to us nor the additional coffee I asked for, in fact they brought the check without even asking how everything was or if we wanted anything else . It felt like they couldn't wait to get rid of us. it felt like a turn and burn place instead of something special I thought it would've been. Sadly, a very disappointing experience. read more

Poor business decision on your part - there are plenty of hard working families looking for breakfast on a Sunday morning or early afternoon. You lost more than one customer by your condescending response - we have lots of friends and family here and plenty of visitors stay with us and are treated to "our favorites" while they are here in town. 10/15/26: My point exactly - if you want breakfast on Sunday "there are plenty of other options" in town that serve it. When I "Yelped" this place it said nothing about NOT serving breakfast on Sundays. The yelp listing should be updated to state that to help people searching for breakfast on Sundays - it really is that simple. I went for an early morning coffee with friends and had the Jane Austen rose and lavender latte. It was yummy. They also have a decent selection of gluten-free items, including scones with clotted cream which were really good and their gluten-free bread is also very good which I have had on two occasions: in the Clive's Staple which is baked beans on toast with a poached egg; and the Forager, an avocado toast with greens, olive oil and a pinch of honey. read more

My husband wanted to try the breakfast here and I only had lunch here, so I agreed. The young male server was absolutely terrible. No personality at all. We were seated, he gave us water and said he would be back, not asking if we would like anything else to drink. He took our order, brought our lukewarm food and never came back to see if we needed anything else. I ordered the tiny French omelette and it came with the potato galettes. Omelette was lukewarm, bland and watery but the galettes were good. My husband ordered the gravy, scones, and poached egg, which he did not like either. His was also lukewarm with no flavor. Was going to ask for salt and pepper but our server never checked on us. Was it worth 40 dollars? In our opinion no! We left hungry and neither of us are big people with big appetites. I took my date here. First time for both of us. I'll give you my first piece of advice, compassionately: please, please, please change those blue, hideous chairs in the backroom. They are so uncomfortable and it's the first thing I noticed. The food made up for it but getting seating down is really important, and I promise you can make the place still look eclectic and unique by replacing them rather than put your paying customers through pain while eating (I couldn't get pain out my head while eating and my date and I fought over who got the real seat with a straight back). The couches can stay but those chairs suck. The place is fun, different, English -- definitely, and kinda weird, which I actually like. But those chairs man......... how can someone eat and not have back pain in them? I'm very open and honest so I hope you take this with feedback well. I'll try again once those are fixed -- promise! Everything else is cool. I love the books, the fish n chips weren't bad , but your portions are small. I think your prices were a bit expensive and expensive for what you get. Small and cozy seating and a nice outdoor seating area - dog friendly I went for breakfast and wanted to try a few items but wasn't too hungry so settled on the soft scramble. My plate arrived super fast - maybe 10 minutes - and had enough food for myself, the patron next to me, AND a doggy bag! My server was Kirsten and she was wonderful - actually all the staff were great! I wish I lived in the area to have time try their lunch and happy hour. Absolutely amazing! When we walked in I was immediately stunned by all the care and love they've put into the atmosphere. We stopped in initially just wanting some fries and a drink but couldn't resist the Swedish meatball special. So reasonably priced; most delicious meatballs, mash, and gravy I've ever had! Bear & Dragon is the cutest restaurant I've been to and we were so lucky to stumble inside on our mini trip to Prescott. I'd come to Prescott again just for this adorable place because I know I'll get a great meal and fantastic service. This cute little library-themed restaurant may be our new favorite breakfast place when we come to Prescott. We asked to sit on the patio and they said they could provide shade for every table out there. The patio was pet-friendly. Our food was delicious--the French Omelette and Tolkien's Breakfast (a big English breakfast that brought back good memories for us!). I also ordered a sugar-free vanilla decaf latte which was delightful. Our server was friendly and efficient and our food came to us quickly. Loved this quaint cafe! We had lunch there on a busy Saturday. We were seated in the hobbit room & immediately approached by our delightful waitress. She made recommendations. I had the Merlin salad with additional chicken and daughter tried the Samwise potato soup. Everything was delicious & service was excellent . Owner stopped by and chatted which was very nice. We splurged and had dessert too - strawberry shortcake ( to die for ) and an affogato. The cafe is all literary themed with book lined walls and cool artwork. We tried their London fog latte, and also their pecan pie latte, which were both very delicious, the pecan pie was pretty sweet and the London fog had a perfect creamy texture to it. The English breakfast was more of an Irish breakfast, but was still delicious nevertheless. We did have a slight issue with some egg shells cracked into our eggs, but the owner checked on us and offered to have the dish remade so all is well, accidents in the kitchen happen. I didn't ruin the meal for us so all is well.
