Showing our order out in the computer at 7:02 and cashed out at 8:58.

***Update. The owner Ryan contacted me through Yelp and stated "You're just upset that you didn't get as much comped as you wanted when you walked in...." I was hoping he'd call and say "Sorry man that one got away from us, you've been here 15 times and keep supporting us, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we might do better". He's acting that I lied about my wait times. He stated it was impossible for me to go to my vehicle so upset that they ruined my birthday evening that I'd leave a yelp review in the parking lot. He stated that I was aggressive and rude with his staff. Another lie. If that's true. If we were upset that we didn't get free drinks and were aggressive with the staff why did we leave a 25%+ tip? Maybe because we know that it wasn't the servers fault that the restaurant was extremely slow and the owner wasn't paying attention to the front of house!!!! And maybe we don't write these reviews just to complain, we write them hoping the management responds to honest feedback and uses it to improve their service! If you don't believe our order was really two hours you can check the receipt times on our $207 bill. Lastly, read his response. He won't accept anything stated as truth. Like I sat here writing all this out for what???? Check all his responses to negative feedback. They are nasty and lack all accountability. Ryan. No one is trying to hurt you. We're aren't here complaining to drive your business down. Not one negative review was hostile. But your responses are unreasonably mean, and you take every line as if it's an attack. Is it so hard to say you're sorry we waited 2 hours for our food and that you'd like to do better for us next time?.*** I will preface this review by informing everyone I had a very successful career in the restaurant business and know how tough the job is. I was successful by setting the highest standards for myself and for my employees. I hope the owner takes this feedback well and uses it to refine their operations to provide the best standard of service possible. We were sat at 6:40. PLATES ARRIVED AT 8:45, well 2 of the 3 anyway... Waiter was very nice!! But not organized. We waited for 30-45 mins between interactions. Empty water glasses. Empty cocktail glasses. Every time! I believe this is a management and training issue because the young man was trying to do well. But we were his only table on that side of the restaurant... No one gave us the expectation that service would be 2+ hours. When things dragged on we were told it was coming and be patient. 3 times I got up to leave but was told it was on its way...No bread offered. At a steakhouse. No salads brought to table. Restaurants serve bread and appetizer sized salads when they are slow because it costs little and keeps hungry customers happy. The decision not to do this is generally to cut costs and the false impression it will turn tables slower. Why does the Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse do this? Because they'd rather you not realize service is slow and think you're getting a bargain than wait hungry, get madder by the second, wondering when you might get to eat and to deprioritize an otherwise good restaurant because the kitchen is always backed up. Again, a management decision. Just like not informing your guests they will wait 2+ hours before seeing a crumb. I got up to wander around and look for staff. When I saw them they all looked happy and were often having pow-wows with the owner. It was a terrible experience. No apologies from management. THEY DIDNT CARE. When I did get to speak with a manager (20 minutes after asking) it was excuses not apologies. She told me it was my opinion that service was slow. No lady. It is an attempt at honest feedback. We arent offering our time to share our opinions because we are jerks. We offer our feedback because we hope you would learn from it, make some decisions to improve because we want you to succeed. Why managers and owners don't see it like this I'll never understand. I truly want this restaurant to succeed because they are an independent shop. Their food is better than most. But results are at the whim of the staff. When you tell a full table that waited 2+ hours for their food that the parking lot is full and people will keep coming anyway, you're telling them they aren't important and you'll make money regardless. Lastly to anyone still reading. The staff here have it better than any other place in town. All your customers are wonderful, understanding people. I talk to them. They are patient and bend over for you when you have a hiccup. They don't yell, cuss, or get loud when you let them down. They are big tippers! Management should leverage their best asset, their customers, and demand better from their staff, who might just need more management out of the owners. And for the owners, the help is offered if you'd like it.

The Beef Stroganoff at Badger's Den was a great choice. They have an extensive menu so we asked the waitress what she can recommend. My wife had the Chicken Alfredo and it was amazing as well. This is our second time at Badger's Den can't wait to go back again We started trying to eat at different restaurants around Prescott have gone back to a few favorites before moving on to others. If you haven't seen a post about your restaurant, I might not have been there yet. Prescott does have a great food scene, don't miss going to the Badger's Den.

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PLACE AND EXPERIENCE! We were a group of 6 on our first visit, but it will DEFINITELY not be our last! We made a reservation earlier in the day and were promptly seated when we arrived. We ordered varied dishes and were all WOWed at the flavor and presentation. Michael was an attentive server and Ryan and Pat, the owners, came by to welcome us and ask how our meal was going. So, so hospitable! We will be back and will recommend to EVERYONE!

We had an incredible experience with truly great food and amazing service from the moment we arrived. Our server, Stacy, went above and beyond by sharing the rich history of the place, even telling us how the dance floor has had over 150 years of shoes dancing across it, which made the evening feel even more special. We were there for a business dinner, and the vibe was perfectly fancy and professional, creating the perfect setting for meaningful conversation. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and served with such attention to detail, making the entire evening feel elegant, and memorable from start to finish.

Ask the Community - The Badger's Den

    Do you offer a burger?

We offer a 1/2lb angus burger with multiple options of enhancements served with lettuce, tomato, pickle and red onions on a toasted brioche bun

    Are reservations recommended?

YES! Would suggest doing so, during the week especially if it's around prime dinner time and peak hours on the weekends. They fill up quickly and aren't open late; so highly recommend making reservations.

Do they offer corkage service? If so what is the fee?

We offer a variety of wines and under our liquor license we do not allow outside alcohol

Is lobster always on the menu?

    I really don't know

Colt Grill is located on Whiskey Row and caddy corner from the Courthouse. It is easy to find and street parking is plentiful. Colt Grill has both indoor and outdoor uncovered seating which is so popular with the weather here. Inside it's a counter service restaurant with a bar that serves BBQ. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken platter that comes with slaw and cornbread for $17.50. I added the "meal deal" of 2 sides for $6 more and chose the sweet beans and Texas Toast because I wanted to try those side dishes in addition with what came with the meal. The meal was ready in less than 15 minutes. I immediately realized that I ordered too much food. Along with the 1/2 bird, the slaw and jalapeño cheese cornbread were full size sides. The beans and toast were too but then I did get to try them all so I wasn't complaining. The chicken looked perfect and was juicy and flavorful with a hint of smoke and a lot of taste. The cole slaw was cool and creamy and the big slice of cornbread moist and delicious. The beans had content in them with brisket and onions and looked great but were unfortunately dry. I would have been content to not order the two extra sides and save the $6. All in all the food was good tasting and affordable. I would have given a 4 score except for these negatives: First the dry beans. Second was for the flies buzzing around inside. Third was that they were out of some utensils and I had to use a child's fork to eat with. Evidently the dishwasher wasn't keeping up. Finally they have a sauce bar here with about 8 bbq sauces with descriptions to use which is neat. However, the 2 sauces that I wanted were out at the time. 3 of the 4 negatives were management related issues and may have not been the norm here however that is what I experienced. Colt Grill is a popular restaurant in Prescott that needs a little better organization. However, I would return on a future visit here.

I ordered the Philly with garlic butter fries (because why wouldn't I), and my girl got the smoked turkey club it, did come with a full bottle of mayo in it so maybe ask for light mayo if you order that , but the mac & cheese could bring a grown man to tears. 3/4 slapped harder than expected Now, I did make a rookie mistake at the bar. I Ordered a regular 805 like a chump... $6 for 16oz. Then I see this glorious 22oz mug you can buy for $14--first fill is FREE, and refills are only $7 forever after as long as you bring your mug. You mean I could've had a beer and a souvenir? Say less. I'm now emotionally attached to this mug. The patio is the move--plenty of space, good vibes, and dogs welcome. I'll be back, and next time I'm bringing friends, family, and probably some strangers too.

We heard about this place having great ice cream on TikTok, so my mom and I were on the hunt for that. We finally found it in the very back of the store. There was a young man/teenager working behind the counter and was super friendly, telling us that the Graham Canyon flavor was "grandpa approved." My mom got a scoop of that and the chocolate raspberry truffle while I got a scoop of the oatmeal cream pie and lemon bar. We really liked the Graham Canyon flavor, but found the raspberry in the chocolate raspberry truffle to be close to nonexistent. It was still a nice chocolate ice cream though. I loved both the oatmeal cream pie and lemon flavor, but I liked the oatmeal cream pie just a little bit more since there were larger chunks of the actual cookie in it.
