Hatch Green Chili pulled pork taco
Lori L.

My friend got the classic cheeseburger with Sidewinder fries and I got the Hatch Green Chili pulled pork taco. Both were very good. Things were a bit slow, but there was also only one person working. Will definitely go back to try more things! Moody and dark, very tavern-like. They have Barstool areas in the front but then a bigger dining room in the back.

Stopped in for a cocktail and had the dogs with us. Misha took great care of us out on the patio! Great drinks, great food! Chance and Bo loved their dinners and the fish tacos Jamie and I shared were excellent. Drinks are excellent and we will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Love the vibes here. Pet friendly patio. Live music, good food, and dancing. Perfect place for a cold beverage, delicious salmon tacos, and people watching. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Also, they have a doggie menu.

Giant Tacos! Cajun Citrus Chicken & Green Chili Pulled Pork

We were trying to get in on a Sunday late morning for breakfast next-door, but the hostess was snippy and there was a wait, so we wandered into Whiskey River instead and we're so happy to have found this gem of a restaurant! Being that it was Sunday around 11 AM, the place was practically empty and we were treated like royalty. We Sat outside, Alex was our server - he was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and on it! Two of us ordered 2 tacos each, my Mom had a gorgeous perfectly cooked giant medium rare burger with onion rings, and the table shared a side of tater tots. Everything was fabulous. The tacos are massive, you have to eat half of the toppings out before you're able to even eat the taco - definitely not a complaint! Homemade ranch was delightful, the corn tortillas were extraordinary (didn't fall apart, so good!!) and my vegan boyfriend loved his veggie tacos! I got one of the chicken, and one of the pork, and both were equally delicious. We will definitely be back, as we were leaving before the 1 PM live music started, and more people started coming in. This place has a really cool vibe, and can't wait to check out more of the live music scene, and take a peek upstairs! Love how dog friendly the whole place is!

CHICHARRONES! #bringthemback

We came here with some friends visiting from out of state. My husband always rants and raves about the chicharrones (fried pork rinds) and insisted we have some along with lunch and a couple of drinks. Well to our surprise (and my husband's near death experience!), we learned that the menu has recently changed and that the chicharrones were removed! My husband was immediately feeling like the world was coming to an end and asked our server, Jessica, if she could please ask the chef to find some in the freezer and make them for us. Jessica who was so nice and super friendly said she would talk to the cook, but that she couldn't guarantee that chicharrones were still in stock. The menu had apparently just changed and several regular customers had already felt the same pain when they heard that the pork rinds were gone! WHY do restaurants do this to us??? Anyway, we went ahead and ordered some chips and salsa and a side of guacamole in hopes that this appetizer would satisfy the craving for those famous chicharrones that three of us only ever heard about... We also ordered a couple of Palomas, a PBR, and an 805 from the bar. Our Palomas were very good and the beers, well they're beers! The chips were good, the salsas (red and green) were okay, and the side of guacamole was definitely on the small side, but had an okay taste. Our lunch order consisted of the Pulled Pork Tacos (ordered two), the recommended and new menu item, Grilled Chicken Salad, a Classic Burger, and the new Chicken Wrap served on a spinach wrap. Both the burger and the wrap were served with fries. The burger came with swirly fries and they were amazing! The wrap was served with shoestring fries and they were also very good. The tacos are sold a la carte and come with a lot of meat, shredded cabbage and topped with French onions. My friend said they were very good and because they're not that big, two were the perfect amount. As for my chicken salad, it was okay. There was nothing special about it or anything to rave about. In my opinion they should bring back the old menu and keep it as it was... So, I don't know what Jessica said to the cook, but she scored BIG in our book! The chef was able to make us an order of chicharrones and they were served fresh, hot, and oh so yummy! Apparently, he still had some in the kitchen since the changes were so recent. My husband just about jumped out of his stool when he heard the news and he quickly told Jessica to please tell the chef to store the rest in the freezer and save them for when he returns and requests them again! KUDOS to Jessica who literally made his day!!! This tavern is located on Whiskey Row, but not necessarily on the block where most tourists are seen. I imagine those that come here are more of the locals and/or locals bringing in their visitors. It's got a rustic vibe going on and is much bigger than one would think. A large area that extends off from the bar area has an ample amount of seating and a couple of pool tables. They also have live music, but I'm not sure what the hours are. Staff is always friendly and the establishment is very clean, including the restrooms! I highly recommend trying this place out at least once. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

Always a fun place to go for their unique and delicious tacos or wings, along with drinks and live music. Back in our drinking days, we enjoyed their Old Fashioned cocktails. They have created quite a fun atmosphere for the Prescott scene with multiple areas for music (outdoor patio, Bunkhouse upstairs, and inside), playing pool, watching sports, or just hanging out with friends.

The waitress Sonia and the waiter Caution, yes that is his name, have definitely brought this amazing place back to the amazing vibes that we have come to know expect at this place.

1st timer, went for a late lunch. Awesome burger (wanted medium well and it was spot on). Solid four star burger (I had the Southwest Burger). Service was 5 stars - Jennifer was very attentive even though she was very busy - tried the "Verbena Margarita" - super yum but 20 ice cubes slammed in the glass made it four gulps and it was gone!!! Flavor four stars - value two stars. 3:00 pm (late lunch, no music - 3 people here's the bill). Over all 4 Star first visit - lots of complaints about music here on Yelp. Suggestion: Hire a good DJ once a week and take requests - see what happens!!!

This place has changed names owners numerous times over the years. But the new staff are doing an outstanding job with service and Aloha care. Very appreciated. Came in with a friend and had their chicken wings to share and a taco salad. In addition to lots of beer! The food was great. The taco salad was very tasty with a south of the border heat. I had their chiptole sauce which is great. I'm sure their avocado sauce would be great as well for those with British palates. The wings we had with traditional Buffalo sauce and their wonderful blue cheese. Excellent. The wings are not breaded. Which is the way I make them at home. These are great. And properly cooked. The ambiance is great and not a big change from before a new copper bar top. Agreat place to go. Parking is easy in the big parking garage so even on big weekends it's not impossible. Some street parking available.

First of all, it's always fantastic to take a trip to Prescott and escape the summer heat in the Valley. Generally, we always hit our favorite Italian spot while visiting but this time we wanted to try something new! As we were out about town, we ran into a couple that were walking their two pugs and we were also! Engaged in conversation a bit and they spoke very highly of this place, so we decided to give it a go! The atmosphere was that of an old style saloon. Such a cool vibe inside with a bar area, pool tables and tables indoors for dining. We decided to make our way outdoors to the patio where there was additional seating, another bar and a band was getting ready to perform. Live music, the pups, and a meal? Checked all the boxes for us! Started with a fresh beer from the bar which hit the spot with the atmosphere, weather and tunes. We ordered their wings, selected the dry rub with hot buffalo sauce and glazed honey balsamic on the side. Additionally, had a prickly pear cocktail too! Probably the most standout option on their menu was the pup patty & 3 fresh maple bacon begg'in strips. $5 bucks each to feed your furry friends! . *More places NEED TO DO THIS!! We hung out for a few hours, met some great people from other parts of the Valley that were there for the day as well. The band was good. You would have never of guessed it was their "first time" playing together live if they hadn't mentioned it! Danced with the dogs, that was an attraction in itself.. LOL Service and staff were great! **Check out the deals they do during the week for happy hour and late night!** Weather was great about 85 degrees that day. Always a relaxing time and do check out when they have their flee market with local vendors which that's always fun to explore too!

Great burgers and drinks! We had the Southwest burger and it is one of our new favorites. The drinks were also delicious and well-portioned (Western Skies and Whiskey Sour). The vibe is great for a mountain town tavern, and we had great service from Jessica. We will be back again when we are in town!

Before my first visit, it had probably been ten years since I'd had meatloaf. Now this sandwich has changed the rules. It will knock your socks off. The bread is excellent, the flavors are rich and satisfying, and the whole thing tastes like comfort food done right. Great food, great beer, and my only complaint is that I wish they had a growler refill service. Good eating, nice friendly place.

Its located in what was a industrial/quieter section of Prescott, 5 min south of the courthouse. Small attached parking lot, but good chance that you will need to find neighborhood on street parking. I was there at prime hour Friday eve. Reservations are probably a good idea. It was just myself and a buddy, so we waited about an hour after we wait-listed our names at the door. Very busy for good reason. They have an outdoor bar and waiting area. Dogs are permitted on leash there, yay, but so is disgusting SMOKING. So be aware of that toxicity. Lots of cigars and cigarettes. Hard to avoid. Their servers are very cool and friendly. Dave took our order, offered advice, and also was able to light the outdoor tower heater next to our table. Brews and ciders were tasty. Chicken wings rock! Friend had a chicken sandwich that was stacked this high !!! Highly recommend this pub. Great overall feel...though they really need a designated smoking area...c'mon guys...its 2026. 2nd hand smoke kills and stinks. For this major drawback, it did not get 5 stars...

We found it's better to make a reservation if you want a table or if it's a night where there is something going on at the Elks, which will mean they will likely be busy. I had the halibut which was perfectly cooked. I asked for the sauce on the side, which I always do, and they complied. I found the taste of the sauce to be very good, but it was really gloppy -- not what I'd consider a sauce, so I was happy it wasn't on my fish. But that was a not enough to make a difference in how I rated the meal; just perhaps something for the Chef to consider. We were a group of four and everybody's food was excellent. It's kind of our go-to place when we're going to go to an event at the Elks because it's so convenient. FYI -- Our Elks event started at 7 PM, and our reservation was at 5:30 PM, and we finished with about 10 minutes to walk over across the street and get seated. A reservation any later than 5:30 PM would not have allowed enough time for us to comfortably eat and get to our 7 PM event. We also did inform our server right away that we had an Elks event.
