Well we were in town for 7 days and went here 4 times, so... To be honest it's probably a 4.5 because the beer selection leaves a bit to be desired. But I had to round up because everything else about the place is amazing. If you're there early, or need a pick me up, the coffee shop is perfect. I had an amazing iced chai latte with macadamia milk, very memorable. If you're there for something stronger and not in love with the beer selection, they also have cocktails, wine, kombucha and other random things in the self-serve taps. Something for everyone, to be sure. But the real draw is the outdoor space. We came with kids, we came without kids, no matter what, it felt like the perfect spot for our group of 2, 5, or 8 people, with or without our pups. What a gem! read more

We had a great time today at the the Founding Fathers Collective!! Awesome venders and the beer tasting was yummy as well! We enjoyed the many different options for food and music....the silent dance party was so SOFT!!! It rocked!! Last night we went for the drinks with friends and then today we stopped by for coffee. This place is so chill. At night there was live music inside and plenty of fire pit areas outside to enjoy as well. So many options on tap I was pleasantly surprised to see margaritas and a Paloma. I brought my parents along and my dad who is so picky had a blast and drank more than any of us. This morning I wanted something iced and sweet and the cookie dough latte did not disappoint. This place was awesome, they have a large selection of self serve beer, cocktails and wine to choose from. They had us wear a wristband that we scan when we wanted a beer, then just pour the beverage ourself and they have over 50+ taps to choose from. You pay by the ounce, so that lets you sample a variety of drinks. It had a chill atmosphere, there was a small coffee shop and barber shop sharing the space. Very spacious seating area so you can enjoy your beers. It's not too far from Whiskey Row, if you are looking for quality beers when you're in Prescott, I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

This place was open later than many others and was worth a stop. It's a self serve craft beer bar, so there isn't much service to worry about other than to get you going. They provide different glass wear so you can do small pours or larger ones. No difference in pricing between smaller and larger pours as you are doing that labor yourself. There is also a barber shop and some other buisnesses inside, hence the collective (they were closed while we were there). They had a ton of taps incuding non-beer options. They tell you to pour off about a second of beer before filling your glass to reduce foam etc. I did this but still ended up swallowing a fruit fly which was pretty gross (Figured it out what it was when a second one turned up in my taster glass). With that said, this was a good way to check out some local (To Arizona) beers as well as try many other interesting things. Overall it was a good experience. read more

Very fun place! This is a pour-your-own bar which is always fun! I love getting to take just a taste of the available options before committing. As a gluten free gal, I only got to try the cocktails on tap and I was not disappointed. They had different types of margaritas, Paloma, seltzers, hard lemonade, and kombucha. Various rooms to sit in and a large patio over looking trees and trails. It's a cozy vibe here for coffee, beers, indoor barber shop (in full swing this morning!) and a cigar lounge. They layout wraps thru the different seating areas. It actually has a 2nd patio and maybe a 3rd. Doors to enter and exit on all sides. It looked like art was displayed in one of the back rooms. We stoped in for a coffee and to our surprise we found yet another gem in Prescott. They not only have coffee, but a full beer smorgasbord on tap, cigars and can even grab a haircut. This place is super cool inside and the service was top notch. A lot of self-serve but staff was extremely helpful and attentive. A must visit if you're in the area. The Founding fathers is a great self serve bar concept. The atmosphere is very open and light with loads of outdoor seating and next to the stream is nice while it flows on the spring and monsoons. The service is great Aloha friendly with good knowledge of the beers. They only have a few mixed drinks and several wine selections. But beer selection is great! Bring your own food in. There is a food truck or two but I think your better off buying from a local restaurant and bringing it in. Make sure you get the servers or staff to assist on pulling you own beer. There is a correct method and a wasteful way. You don't want to be wasting beer. read more

There's a very hip barber shop here too that looks promising as well. I have yet to try the coffee, but this is a great concept. So this is unique place with a twist. It's a self serve brewery! At the check-in desk, they run your credit card and sync it to a wristband that you wear. You then go to the different taps, scan your wristband (activates the tap), and pour as much or little as you want. You're charged by the oz which is posted on each tap. Most taps are beer but some are hard seltzer. The system was demo'd for me and I was told that to let them know if I get a foamy pour. Upon which, they retap and the drink will be free! This actually happened with my first choice! There's both inside, covered, and outdoor seating. There's a small stage and a band was playing on my visit. There's also a small putting green and a few fire pits that you can sit at sling the creek (rarely flowing). This is a dog friendly establishment. From what I understand, food trucks provide something to eat (separate business). There's also a barber shop and gym...but neither were open when I was there. Interesting mix of businesses under one roof. The staff here were really cool and I'm not saying that just cause I got a free drink...but it didn't hurt. Really cool place, I've been here probably 20 times or so but it's only been on Yelp for about a month for some reason? Anyways, great concept. Barber shop ( John Hancock, they used be by the Elk's theatre) here and a gym for judo for kids classes. Also a coffee shop. But the main attraction is the cool bracelet and scanning when you pour your drink. I think this concept is in other cities throughout the US also? Good selection and nice place to hang out but.... I agree with another reviewer, no way children should allowed in the alcohol area ( annoying, loud and Chucky Cheese Like) and sometimes they have like events that suck for the average patron. Example, a few weeks ago they had a 10 year college reunion event that pretty much was loud and annoying. Just close it off even for big events? Also, sometimes the people that work there don't monitor and clean at all. Tonight Sunday the guy working there was excellent and on top of everything. Bit other times employees just hanging out while there a bunch of stuff they should w doing IMO. We typically go Sunday nights as it's quiet ( just done poker players) and we'll stocked. It can get crazy busy on fri/sat nights. Ps they have an exclusive underground paíd membership but information on that is scant at best.... read more

Founding Fathers Collective is what you get when a bunch of libertarians band together and form a hippy-style commune. Or at least that's the impression I got from spending a lovely morning enjoying coffee and people-watching from the patio. There's a creek for kids to splash around while parents enjoy a mocha or beer, and plenty of outdoor seating. We even had excellent live music. Founding Fathers has an extremely laid-back atmosphere, and you can do everything from getting a haircut to purchasing American flag hunting knives. Rumor has it that there's a membership-only speakeasy in the basement. Not sure if it's true or not, but some local Prescott folk mentioned that there's a hunting trip with the owner at the highest level of membership. For those of you just in town for a few days, there's an evening poker tournament. Entry is the purchase of a few beers. Can't wait to come back. read more

We were bummed, but not the end of the world. However, your employee Danielle had the most amazing attitude and took it upon herself to create trivia for us. Stopped by on a Saturday evening. They had a private party mixed n with the operation but it was seamless and well done. I like the relaxed nice atmosphere with live music. Wide selection of Beer & Wine on tap (interesting but done classy). There is also a barber shop ( looks nice) and coffee bar. There is also a Speak Easy hidden in the back, privilege exclusive and the monthly is quite $$$. This isn't your typical bar instead, they have taps with digital identifiers for 20 or so beers and a couple of ciders and sours. I found a prickly pear cider that I was excited to try, but it was barely noon, so I ordered two crowlers to go. The bartender was very helpful and even let us have a taste. Besides the taproom, there are several other businesses in this large revamped warehouse, including a barbershop coffee shop and judo studio. First off the hours for this place are completely wrong. It's open way later and has happy hour until 6pm. This is a super cool combination that has "you pour" style drinks that include beer , cider, mead and mixed drinks all available on a tap wall.... You pay by the ounce and can taste and try until your hearts content. There are food truck options in the parking lot for those munchy moments. We came in and got a "taster board" which was a platter of four different small pours before settling in to pint glasses mixed with the occasional sip here and there of mead. A live country band came on and it was a great atmosphere. Kids were outside by fire pits while families were enjoying the overall vibe. There was a super cute coffee shop here as well in case you don't want the tap wall (what?!? Lol) We were greeted by a wonderful staff member named Heather , who explained how everything worked and give us a demonstration. She made sure we knew where everything was and where all the different glass sizes were located. read more

I like the concept of picking out what beers I want to try and how much of each beer I want to drink. There are two different food trucks but I've only seen them both open at the same time once, so check before you go. They allow you to bring in food from other restaurants, so that is an option. The thing that disappoints me most is the cigar smoking outside. I'm not a fan and each time we have been there at least one person is outside smoking. There doesn't appear to be a place outside to get away from the smoking. read more

I love this concept! Tap your own beer with a very large selections of brews ranging from ciders to stouts. The employees are always super friendly and helpful to get you set up with the wristband which allows you to pull your own tap. They also have games to play while you sip. The seating area has inside and outside options and is very large. I would love to come back and sit outside at dusk near the fire pits. Definitely a must try! read more

Love to stop by when visiting my dad and there's always a great selection of beers on tap. Service is always super nice, music is always great, prices aren't too bad, but the last two times we've been, we've been kicked off our table due to people having "reservations". I understand they made reservations and you have to at some point clear a space, but during our last visit, the party was outside for their current reservation that had already been going on. Well it started to rain so they wanted to move inside (understandably so, but it also was raining on and off all day), so yet again we were kicked off our table with 6 of us and all having had little tasters (kinda hard to stand and hold all of the taster cups). THANKFULLY we were basically done, but I mean they chose to reserve outside and people who are also already paying are now forced off the table because another party made a bad choice? The other two tables next to us were removed as well and they were playing board games and had more people so I feel even worse for them. TLDR; Make a reservation and you'll get priority seating no matter what lol, twice in a row is too many times to be booted as a paying customer. Will probably skip visiting here next time. read more
