Lovely cocktails, and most importantly, they are a craft cocktail place with a kitchen. The other two good cocktail places don't serve food, which is a bummer. Their food menu is limited, but it's no slouch for quality. I love stopping in after dinner somewhere else downtown as well. The bartenders are all well skilled and take their craft seriously. On occasion I've asked them for an off menu cocktail, and they're happy to comply. The place has a cool, low light vibe that is easy on the eyes. read more

Love the vibe of the place. You can get old western anywhere in Prescott but for something a little more modern this is it. Drinks were amazing. Bar staff were friendly. Music was amazing and not soml loud you couldn't hear another person talk. And board/card games were a nice feature. Next time in Prescott I'll definitely be back. read more

We heard the music outside and decided to go. The band was fantastic! They played bluegrass, not a genre I generally listen to but it was very enjoyable. We sat on the couch by the fireplace for a few hours. The place is beautifully decorated. Very upscale, classy vibe. Easily the nicest bar I've been to in Prescott. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and the drinks outstanding. I had the bandit and thoroughly enjoyed it. They have a fantastic selection of alcohol. In a word...chic! Fantastic place and great ambiance - still looks very new. Had a tasty blueberry mojito and pretzel bites (more like small loaves of bread), and while the pretzels were a little too salty (yes, I do realize they're pretzels), the drink absolutely hit the spot. Much to admire here, from all the decor, to the back area, to the patio beyond that! Staff was also attentive and friendly, and that made us really settle into the late afternoon; apparently they also have a DJ some nights, so that must be great. We stopped in here for a pre-dinner drink, so I suggest you do the same :-) read more

I was meeting family I hadn't seen in over a decade for a drink while we were both in town. The bartender said that my service dog was only welcome outside on the patio. We complied and went out back. It was a warmer day and there were lots of mosquitoes, but at least it was in the shade. My old fashioned was overly sweet and a very small pour for the price. When we walked through the bar to leave there was a dog inside with NO service dog designation. I can't believe that we were discriminated against and forced to be uncomfortable outside. I will never go here again and recommend that anyone with a service dog find a more hospitable place to grab a drink. read more

This is the second time we visited the Cortez. It is a very nice upscale bar located on Cortez Street in Prescott. The bartenders are excellent and very attentive; drinks are very good. We enjoyed a margarita and an apperol spritz. There are also appetizers. Definitely recommend this bar; a really nice place to visit. read more

Very nice place. Nice vibe and live music but people smoking outside in the smoke free place and management did not seem to care. I personally don't care if people smoke as long as it doesn't bother me but rules don't apply apparently to some. That alone drops my rating to a 2. If you like sitting outside and you don't smoke don't come here Might come back another time. read more
