Tried this spot after driving past it for quite awhile now for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The inside is small, but it has a chill atmosphere and there's also extra seating outside in the front. My mom ordered up the pulled pork sandwich w/ a side of their crinkle cut wedge fries, they looked so good I had to grab one of them! I ordered the Big H burger, which is a smash style, pepper jack cheese w/ ghost peppers that gave a nice lil kick, fried shoestring onions and pulled pork, along with the mac n cheese for my side... Everything was delicious! I can't remember, but I think there were 5 different bbq sauces on the table that they make. I was putting on their traditional one bite after bite it was so good and the mac n cheese was nice and cheesy, so good. The food was great and our server was awesome. Im glad I made it in and will definitely be going back to try different items off the menu... and getting that Big H again read more

Damn good Q! Juicy Brisket! Great ribs! Excellent pulled pork. BBQ beans were to die for! You won't go wrong supporting this joint read more

Big H BBQ - Sampler platter! - Barbeque Near Me - Dewey Humboldt, Arizona

Food, 2 star. I expressed our concerns to Dailey. She was cute and pleasant, but not sure if she shared my opinion because nothing was done about it. The brisket was as hard and dried out like the bottom of a shoe. Turns out that most of the ribs were too. Don't get me started on what they called cornbread muffin, very dry. could've cut it up and used it for a croutons on a salad.... I did like my green chili, cream, corn, the beans were good and my pork was tasty. Two of three of the barbecue sauces we all liked. But because of the quality of the food, we will not go back. They did have IBC root beer in Sasparilla and bottles, fabulous. I JUST CAN'T read more

Having changed hands a few times this is as good as it gets. Big H bbq is a place where all is good. There sauces are delicious and yes they have beer. I ordered the sample platter which consisted of pulled pork ribs and brisket. Accompanied by sweet potato fries. This bbq is real good. The owners are doing good things there and will hopefully there for a long time.‍ read more

The best experience my family had!! We're new to Az coming from California. And when we looked up best beef ribs (my son's request) this restaurant popped up so we went with the highest expectations and were not disappointed. We will definitely go back and I always recommend them. We also had other BBQ items, but my son had the biggest surprise when he ordered the Brontosaur rib. Just WOW!! Can't wait to go back. read more

Best burgers in town and most unique French fries. I would eat there everyday if I could.

Good food, good service. Friendly staff. Nice touch that the owner came out to say hi and Che led in on us about their service. Will return.

Ummm love this place smells delicious from a far off.. I'm not a BBQ Person but tried it Was so impressed. There sauces are homade. Meat Tender. And I was surprised They BBQ Turkey.. The beautiful young girl I always see is a jewel. I always forget name's. read more

Where there is nothing, there is something and it's a newer BBQ place, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fries and they had 4 different sauces you could choose from ,I liked them all. The decor is ranch, rodeo, western style, doesn't overwhelm you, not cluttered, very clean, or server was very nice she checked on us few times and talked with us, which I thought was nice felt like we had a warm welcome, the only thing I would enhance would be the lighting outside to prevent a trip hazard at night, when trying to find way in or out after dark. read more

This place is lights out barbacue! You can really taste the Texas post oak that he uses on the smoker the ribs and the brisket is so tender. Definitely best barbecue I've had in Arizona and we've eaten at a lot of places. You gotta get the hatch cream, corn and beans are also really good! 5 star BBQ for sure! read more

Big H BBQ - Killer BBQ - Barbeque Near Me - Dewey Humboldt, Arizona

Pricey. Small servings. Service is good. Little ambience. Food is good. Very small.

In from out of town looking for a nice dinner. Found it. Big H bbq. great service Rebecca our waitress very nice and patient explaining the menu and giving recommendations. Food was good BUT kind of cold bbq expected to be warm at least. It wasn't this hurt the vibe of enjoying the meal. The other disappointment. It's TEXAS bbq. The played AWFUL music . I asked why. They said they were tired of it. Ok. So much for customer vibe. But wait. Rebecca did suggest the apple cobbler a la mode. It was delicious and saved the dining experience. Ok. I will be back next time In town. But just a few tweaks can make this place a five star destination. read more

Hubby & I visited the Prescott Valley area today & decided to give Big "H" BBQ a try. We were immediately greeted with a smile & "Welcome in" upon entering. As it was our first time there we took time checking out the menu & special board. Hubby loves brisket so that's always a first choice, followed by fries (he's not big on most side dishes due to allergies) I noticed the chili on the special board so we placed our order. The restaurant is busy as it's the end of the lunch time rush. We found a table & started admiring the decor. Cute western themed prints/pictures hung on the wall. I loved that you could actually purchase the pictures there or check out the photographers website with the links provided. Yes, I checked out the link. Our food arrived & the serving size was perfect. Hubby's brisket was good with amazing flavor. The fries had a crazy cut (check the picture) & were hot & delicious. My chili was amazing, with huge chunks of brisket & spicy. The owner/chef came by the table to see how everything was & we mentioned loving the chili & he mentioned it was brand new to the menu he was still working on the recipe. I said my only suggestion would be to make the tomatoes smaller (that's my opinion & I understand some like chunks of tomatoes where I don't) otherwise it was amazing. They have adequate parking with both indoor & outdoor sitting depending on preference/weather. An absolute delight! read more

I came in looking for a quick but good lunch and I was not disappointed. I asked what could be done quickly and the server was very helpful and even went above and beyond asking the cook if what I wanted was able to be done in my time frame. I got the smoked Ruben and creamed corn, it was delicious, fresh and obviously home made with quality meat. Creamed corn had a kick which I liked. I did think it was a little pricey but I understand when you are getting quality it is expensive. Overall good experience and we need more places in the area like this, I'll be back. read more

Stopped in on our way back to Phoenix after some sightseeing. The small staff greeted us on arrival and answered some menu questions. The smoked meats were exceptionally tasty and tender. The assortment of sauces provided were all good, even though prickly pear isn't my favorite. For sides, we had the green chile creamed corn and fries. The corn was homemade, and delicious. The fries were unique. They were an unusual wedge cut, lightly battered, and fried to a perfect crisp. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be back! read more

My spouse and I had dinner for the first time at Big H BBQ, and wish we would have tried it sooner. We had the burnt ends and ribs. Both were tender and flavorful, with just enough *spice heat*. We chose potatoe salad and beans as our sides, and enjoyed both. Two of the owners took time to speak with us at length. We'll definitely return after they get their liquor license, because who doesn't like beer with bbq? read more

The BBQ pizza was packed with flavor from the first bite. The sweet and smoky sauce paired beautifully with the gooey cheese. The crust was thin enough to stay light but sturdy enough to hold the toppings. I liked how the meat pieces were tender and not dry. The service was quick, making it easy for a lunch break meal. I'll be back for another slice. read more

Food was good, everything we ate was real tasty, had the brisket, pulled pork, pork belly lollipop. Beans were also very good

I'm a bit of a BBQ snob and it's rare for me to find a restaurant, west of Kansas City that knows how to make good BBQ. I think it is even more surprising that this place was just outside Prescott. Spoke to the pitmaster and he's been cooking for 40 years...and it shows. I ordered the Smoked Ruben and it was outstanding. My wife ordered the pulled pork and that was amazing as well. I pushed my luck by asking for a small sample of their brisket, which they were happy to provide, and it was very good as well. If you like BBQ, definitely give them a try now. They just opened three months ago so they will soon have long lines and will run out of their brisket early. read more

I never leave reviews, but felt this place definitely deserves a good one. The food was so full of flavor! I got the sampler, all the meats outstanding and falling apart didn't need the BBQ sauce which is amazing. The lady at the counter (friendly as can be) turned me on to the creamed corn which is a must try. Great job all around read more

The food was delicious and the service was very friendly! We went an hour before closing and they were very nice to our party of 4. The pulled pork, burgers, and mac and cheese were all incredible. Their gold BBQ sauce was our favorite. The funnel cake fries were 10/10! Clean restaurant. We will definitely be back. read more

This is fantastic Texas BBQ! The four of us ate ribs, brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, onion tangles, hatch Chile creamed corn, sweet potato fries, and peach cobbler with ice cream and it was all SPECTACULAR! Like every good BBQ joint, you order your food at the counter and it's brought to you on a sheet pan with brown paper. Their 4 sauces are also delicious. Not to mention wonderful people working there! I will be making the 45 minute drive from Cornville with no complaints. read more

My wife and I visited Prescott Valley, AZ for the day and I will NEVER go back. It has become a cesspool for rude people. On our way out of town, we stopped at Hassayampa Smokehouse on the North side of the road. We had the brisket sandwich and tried each of their three BBQ sauces . Let me tell you!! They were all great. The brisket was great, the sauces were great! The people were great! I even talked to the owner and got some history of the name and the restaurant. I wish I had asked his name but he seemed very happy to talk with us and share his story. WOW! Stop by and try it out. I will go out of my way to visit them again. The visit to Hassayampa put a smile back on my face. If you visit, go no farther. Prescott Valley will ruin your day. read more

What an amazing place. The Brisket is incredible. Melt in your mouth type. Get the Half pound brisket dinner with the very unusual fries. Can't go wrong. This is a BBQ joint that was reborn from a previous BBQ joint and the difference is day and night. GO HERE!!! read more

Food was just awful. Brisket was dry so dry and the pulled pork also dry. I called to let them know. What I was told was to "have a nice day" by the 20 year old answering the phone. The food is expensive, therefore i thought better to say something than watch another food place close. After interaction with the 20 yr old, I figured well, another place gone under. I just hope the owner/owners read this. Good Luck!!! read more

Had been thinking about stopping and giving it a try. So the wife and I went there for lunch today. All I can say is,The service was good, the servers were great! The food was below average at best. Why because it was cold and I didn't care for cold food when I go to a restaurant and pay good money for something to eat I expect my food to be hot! I don't think that's too much to ask. read more

We stopped in for the 1st time on our way back from Scottsdale about 2 weeks ago. Ordered ribs and beans to -go for that night's dinner. The ribs were obviously not smoked or cooked long enough as they didn't have a smoky flavor, & the fat along the bone was still there, as well as being tough to chew. I emailed their "contact us" on their website the next day to let them know in hopes that they could use our experience to improve on their product, but they never even responded. We won't be back, especially since we found great BBQ since at JBK BBQ. read more

This place is an absolute gem and I really hope they get more and more business and eventually expand. I had the brisket burnt ends the other day and this is what barbecue should be all about. The bark on the brisket is fantastic and the brisket is moist and rich with fat. I judge all BBQ places by their brisket and this one is now my favorite place to go. I've only done carryout, but the service I received on my call in order was great. She offered to throw in all the different bbq sauces to try and was very pleasant when I picked up. The place is quaint and looking forward to dining in one day. The BBQ beans were really good and their cornbread is just how I like it. I did have the green chili creamed corn and it was pretty good, just a little too vinegary for my liking but good nonetheless. The Mac n cheese was standard no frills. I would recommend that they smoke the Mac n cheese and that would elevate it 100%. I can't wait to try the other items in their menu since they get a perfect score from me on their brisket and burnt ends. read more

We stopped here on our way back home from upstate Arizona. Absolutely excellent. Best BBQ I've had in the state. We got two "mixed plates" (ribs, brisket, pulled pork, two small sides) plus brisket mac n cheese for our family of four, and it was plenty of food. Interesting BBQ sauce selection, but the flavor was so good - especially the smoky rub - that you don't even need it. We met the owner too, and he was super cool. Highly recommend this place if you're passing through! read more

Food was not served at right temperature, dried out, and was just horrible. Certainly not "fresh" BBQ like you get in lots of other places around the Prescott area. Also, the driveway getting to the place was full of massive rocks and not pleasing when you arrive. Will not be going to this place to eat anymore. read more
