A taste of New York in Arizona! Since moving from New York, I am always on the lookout for pizza that brings back that familiar taste--and Grumpy Sicilian absolutely delivers. If you're craving authentic New York-style pizza, this is the place to go. Delicious, satisfying, and worth the visit. I'm so happy to have found a new favorite pizza spot in Prescott! read more

The dude at the counter with the long hair clearly hates his job and life??? Like have you thought about just quitting instead of being a projecting ash shat??? Weirdo pizza and wings were mid and with that kind of service... horrid and I see people comparing this to New York pizza and it seems like most of ya'll have never had good pizza bc our slices weren't that's great. Maybe the long hair guy spit in it, good if ur into that. read more

We were walking around Prescott and decided to stop in for a slice of pizza. The place was small and had a warm vibe inside. There was a short line ahead of us (about six people), but it moved quickly. They have a great variety of pizza by the slice--which I love, since a lot of places only offer a couple of options. The pizza itself was AMAZING, especially for the price. What really stood out, though, was the service. There were only two guys running the whole place--taking orders, heating slices, keeping things moving--and they did an incredible job. The line moved fast, the pizza came out great, and both of them stayed positive and friendly the entire time. Huge credit to them for handling everything so well. (I don't get their names, but it was at 2:30PM on 8/31). I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Prescott! read more

The Grumpy Sicilian - The angry cashier - Pizza Near Me - Prescott, Arizona

I stopped into this place Saturday afternoon after spending some time hanging out on the square. My mission was to get 2 slices of pizza. When I went in, the place was fairly busy and there was a line of people ordering. The line moved quickly, but I started to notice the staff were not using gloves of any kind. I ordered 2 slices of pizza which the server placed into the oven with a spatula. I then asked if they had Stromboli. He reached under the counter and showed me one. In his hand. No plate, no gloves, just sitting there. I passed. The same hands that handle cash, the credit card machine, cloths and all the other food. I do not want to think any more about that. No one there had gloves. The pizza you can order by the slice is on display so you can easily choose what you want, but it's only partially cooked. Less than 2 minutes later, the pizza slices 'were done' and were put on 2 paper plates. I asked if they had red pepper and he yelled into the general throng of customers 'if you have the red pepper can you bring it up'. No-one blinked and I left without red pepper. Truly apathetic (also grumpy) atmosphere in there. Now of COURSE this is a tourist trap, any local knows Bills is on the other side of the square and way busier for a reason, but I wanted to give them one chance. Both pizza slices were extremely bland, and not cooked enough. My wife's pizza had cold peppers on it, which tells you the oven is not that hot and was not in there long enough. She later had gastric issues related to this tragedy of a pizza. Grumpy Sicilian. Not just a name, an attitude. Ciao fella. read more

I went to place my order and paid. The person taking my order said it declined. I showed where it went through using Apple Cash. It didn't even say pending and where it had deducted the money. They would not budge. We ended up leaving. They are shady. I would never go there again. read more

We had business in town and wanted to grab a bite to eat... but avoiding the fast food, vending-machine garbage. There was a parking spot immediately 8n front of The Grumpy Sicilian so I thought "Why not?" Good choice. None of us wanted a big meal so we risked getting just a slice -- which was delicious! I feared that it might be dried out, but judging from the traffic, the pizza was freshly baked and the town foot traffic made short work of the pie. In other words, it was freshly baked and disappeared fast. Excellent pizza, too. Good vibes, cool place, excellent food... and I like that they kept a parking spot open for our arrival! read more

I've been on the hunt for good chicken parm, did not find it here. So far the best parm I've got was at Rosa's, the parm here is like 3/5 very mediocre. Tried the parm with fries and was unpleasantly surprised to get mouthfuls of dry, flavorless starch from the thick cut soggy fries. There's a reason they use thin cut for stuff like carne asada fries and marinara does not go well with french fries in my opinion. So why the 5 stars? The grumpy slice is some of the best pizza I've ever had. I thought it looked questionable that they seemed to just reheat pizza that was sitting on the display counter, but the taste and texture were perfection. And only $5 for a slice. Only place you'll get cheaper pizza is at a gas station. read more

For a late night quick pizza spot The Grumpy Sicilian really hit the spot! They are open until 2am on the weekends. They have slices, whole pizzas and many more. The slices are super affordable as well! The pizza was outstanding!! The cheese on it was so creamy and decadent. It was perfectly crispy and had amazing flavor. Honestly probably one of the best pizza slices I've ever had. They have a big variety so anyone can find something they like. Service was friendly, the inside is a bit small, but the pizza is incredible! It's great to find good food open late! read more

Ok, I'll admit the pizza is delicious , you will not be disappointed there. My son got 3 slices of pepperoni pizza, he was full by 2.5 slices. I finished the rest, super delicious pizza. I got the chicken parm. Fries, do not waste your money on these, all this is fries, unflavored sauce, chicken parm. With mozzarella cheese, it had no salt and definitely lacked flavor. You could tell the owner did not put much thought into making this dish, a waste of money. He's smart for adding the word "GRUMPY" to the title of his business, only means he can get away with it, also, he's ridiculous to charge a $1 for a refill, this guy is sheisty, the cups are not even that big. read more

The Grumpy Sicilian - NASTY A** Chicken Parm. Fries! Yuck! - Pizza Near Me - Prescott, Arizona

The food was delicious, just a little pricey. The chicken parm Stromboli was really good and a nice portion for the price. The buffalo wings were not spicy, decent sized and had a buttery flavor and not very crispy but were good. The wings seem a little pricey for 6 wings for $9. The fried zucchini was VERY good and we even had others in our group try them who are health conscious and picky what they eat and they even loved them. The cheese slice had an oregano flavor to it, maybe it's the sauce. I felt like the individual slices were kind of small in comparison to pizza places like Slices in Tempe and even Costco slices. Other than that, I would go back when in town. read more

While walking downtown, we found this little place tucked behind some much bigger stores and restaurants. This place is small so the only a couple of tables, but they have so many different types of pizzas and other meals to choose from! We really loved the Buffalo chicken fries. They were French in ranch and Buffalo sauce in the best way possible. Every pizza slice we got had good flavor and made us want more. The guys behind the counter were really funny and you could tell they had a good time working there! read more

This is a good pie right on Whiskey Row. Nice light crust, no flop, good quality toppings.

Never had the most terrible experience until today in Prescott until I went to The Grumpy Sicilian, there I had the most ignorant service from a caucasian man with long brown curly hair I went in to get some pizza because some of the other restaurants kitchens were closed we went in he was carrying a pizza to another customer and I let him through to go first in the tight space he came back to take our order I asked for a pepperoni Sicilian and a pepperoni jalapeño slice and he threw both slices in the oven giving me attitude and being absolutely disrespectful while asking about a margarita pizza , they should change the name to The Be an Asshole Sicilian Pizza. read more

Honestly this is my daughter's favorite pizza place in AZ. She loves/lives for "beach style" pizza, like we get in Massachusetts. This hits the spot for her, to get a slice. Low key establishment. Prices are decent, especially if paying cash. (Like most all shops in the square, cash is king. You save over paying with any type of card) The hours are really great. We will always pick this place, when in AZ and visiting grandma. To be honest, the guy behind the counter is also ridiculously good looking. So the view is also on point. Haha read more

I can't believe some of these reviews say this is the "best pizza ever", "best pizza north of Phoenix" etc. These people must have had bad pizza their entire lives. The best part is the marketing. Cool name, cool logo and menu board. Others than that it is middle of the road. Almost mall quality pizza. Not bad, but nothing special either. On the "Godfather" pizza we didn't care for the large chunks of peppers and there was ham on it which The Godfather isn't supposed to come with. Sausage was eh on flavor and we prefer sausage that is broken up not half ass sliced. Looked and tasted like less quality. Not much cheese and the dough was pedestrian. The guy working wasn't very personable at all, not rude, maybe just an Grumpy Sicilian. Lol. Go elsewhere and spend your money. read more

Its called Grumpy Sicilian because you'll definitely leave grumpy when you eat here. The place is small, but we were able to get a table for 3 right away. We were IMMEDIATELY put off by the service though. The short haired kid trying to grow a mustache who was behind the counter was sooooo off putting. He didn't like being interrupted and didn't want to answer any questions. I observed him with everyone else too, and it was like he hated being there. He didn't tell us our beers were ready. I had to tell my boyfriend to retrieve them from the counter, and he did not crack a smile ONCE. We got the meat lovers pizza and the fried zucchini. They weren't terrible considering it was all just reheated. Not the best, not the worst. Listen, I get it. Working sucks. I work 2 jobs and one is where I pick up trash. It is NOT a glamorous job, but guess what? I have a SMILE on my face when I interact with people. For a town that thrives on tourism, any business there needs to do better. read more

Ate there today for lunch with my wife. She had a slice of cheese which she said it was ok and kinda bland. I got the chicken Parmesan over fries, and it was pretty good, but lacked seasoning. The pizza was sitting for a while and didn't look all that appetizing. They don't even keep it in a warmer, which made the cheese look plastic. Once was enough. read more
