Pretty descent pizza for a walk-in sort of place. It smells amazing when you walk in and it's pretty clean inside. There were two guys working there today that seemed like "don't mess with me New Yorker type of guys," so they weren't exactly people friendly, but good enough to hear you up a slice of pizza. For a small pizza parlor, they had a lot of options of pizza toppings. We ordered 4 slices in total: pepperoni, buffalo chicken, margarita, and the house favorite: the Grumpy Sicilian. The crust is good, but the sauce lacks flavor. The specialty pizzas were actually really good, especially the Grumpy Sicilian. Super good. We also had a caprese salad, which was tasty, and the Grumpy salad, but I thought it was too sweet with the raspberry dressing they put on it. read more

Great pizza, and sold by the slice, which is rare in AZ! Fairly close to NY pizza, which is also rare in AZ outside of Phoenix. Buffalo chicken slice was great. Regular cheese was good, although the sauce is a bit too sweet for my taste. They did also have Sicilian-style. I didn't try it, but it looked good. I'll be back when in Prescott. read more

There wasn't a lot of options for a late dinner when my boyfriend and I arrived in Prescott around 9 PM. This spot was right down the block from our hotel so it won by default. I'm not usually a big fan of reheated pizza slices and this pizza was what I expected. Decent for what it is but I'm sure their full fresh pizzas are better. We each got a couple of slices and took our pizza back to our room. read more

I left NY a few years ago. Went down the east coast and ended up in the Phoenix, AZ, area. Grumpy Sicilian is the ABSOLUTELY BEST pizza outside of NY. I bit into my first Sicilian corner in the past 10 years. Don's skip out on the fried zucchini...delish! Great food and good value. Don't miss out. read more

I honestly don't know why the reviews for this place are bad. This is one of my favorite places to eat for relativity cheap, and I think the fact they're open till 2 Friday and Saturday make up for closing at 7 other days. Not to mention the variety of stuff they have a really good. Overall just a good pizza place. read more

Good service. Food was awful. Fried zucchini was rancid and not sure what was up with the beer but blah! Pizza was reheated bottom burnt and top was luke warm. Would not go there again unless hammered and even then maybe I would pass. read more

It's not just a name, one grumpy dwarf himself. Was so grumpy and miserable questioned why he was working there. They have several pizzas on display. They are not fresh. They take a slice of what you want and reheat it in their oven. It was gross. Do not go here. Even papa johns is better. read more

Hmmmm Walked in to order a pizza to take home and saw they had french fries with gravy Yum yum I ordered the pizza and than asked the person what kind of French fries do you have ? Looked at me and said something passive aggressive ..like the long kind I said ...Are they crinkle cuts ? Are they like Mc Donalds? Are the real potatoes that you cut yourself ? Mr smart ass said they are the kind from France ...as I left I told him there was no need to be a smart ass . I will never go back there ever again. Went in last night and got a couple slices to go and some fried zucchini per the recommendation of an employee. The slices were barely heated up before putting in the to-go box. The zucchini was bland and without flavour and the slices were ok, but nothing special. Totally understand the business thrives on late night, drunk patrons. read more

The grumpy Sicilian saved our night after waiting over an hour for a seat at another place and never even being seated. We decided to bail and see what else we could find, and we are glad we did because otherwise we wouldn't have tried the grumpy Sicilian. It was quick and convenient which was awesome, and the prices were outstanding since they serve by the slice. We were pleasantly surprised by the pizza too, it was really great! They have lots of different topping options which is awesome. The staff is awesome too. Overall we're glad we tried it and will be back soon! read more

First time visiting from Southern California, we were greeted with a smile from the young man behind the counter. I could tell who was the Grumpy Sicilian, the cook. Lol he looked grumpy as hell. But don't let that fool you , he can make a delicious pizza. We ordered a Veggie pizza and a salad . Both delicious. I wish I lived closer. We will definitely be coming back on our next visit. I saw the review of some ridiculous person who said the pizza was not good here. They must have an ulterior motive because the pizza is the BEST bar none in town. Have lived in NY, NJ, and many places and this pizza rocks! Maybe they went during short staff during Covid or when others just up and quit their jobs like everywhere else now. The owner is hard working, he is indeed grumpy, but the best pizza maker in town. read more

My boyfriend and I went around the downtown square ranking the pizzas because we had time to kill and out of the six stops we had, The Grumpy Sicilian was our favorite. They were very polite and the ambiance was quiet but comfortable. Since then we've visited a few times now and it never fails to amaze us with how good it is. 100% recommended for a quiet day out or if just looking for a slice of pizza! read more

It was full of patrons for dinner and we were seated right away in a cozy booth. Strangely the table was far short of the seating. The menu is broad with all the typical Italian selections. We put in our drink order and I had a Argentine Malbec. It was rich and delicious. We started with an appetizer of Arancini. These traditional fried rice balls were huge, two of them. Mixed with peas and other tasty ingredients, the exterior were nice and crunchy. Cooked perfectly they were delicious with a cup of Marinara to pour over them. The pizza we ordered was the 18" Mediteraneo with grilled chicken, ricotta and mozzarella cheese and a pesto sauce. The 18" was very adequate sized for four hungry people with some left over. The pizza was good yet a bit off in that the cheese overpowered everything else. I do not recall eating any chicken or tasting the pesto. The ricotta seemed to be a unique ingredient yet it doesn't seem to set properly as if it was applied frozen (?) The service was extroadinary, so friendly and accommodating. The only mistep which is probably a kitchen problem is we waited and waited for the appetizer. When it finally arrived the pizza arrived literally right on top of it with not enough room on the table. I'd return to try some of their other Italian offerings.

She did not speak to me and simply gestured "I don't know" with her arms raised up. I was super confused about what was going on at this point. Suddenly, as I am still standing in my walkway, in front of my gate that has my address on it, looking around confused wondering where the food is and why this truck is here if it's not for food delivery, a man started walking very rapidly towards me from down the street hollering "Mind your own business, lady" and "Step back, lady" over and over and over again, gesturing aggressively at me. I attempted to interrupt his tirade to ask, "are you here for food delivery?" Finally, he stopped hollering at me and said "Yeah, it's all done" as my boyfriend stepped out through the gate asking the same questions. I was still confused as we still did not have any food. The delivery driver finally informed us, "yeah, it's at the front door." My boyfriend then confirmed again with the driver that he did deliver our food to another door. I then said to the delivery driver, "See, it is my business." The delivery driver replied, "Right back at ya" and smirked. Very weird, strange encounter. The female passenger seemed oblivious as to what was going on, and the man appeared to be under the influence of something based on his aggressiveness. He was extremely rude, unprofessional, threatening and dismissive. This driver is an individual who should NOT be involved in customer service. After that experience I had bad taste in my mouth and was no longer hungry. My boyfriend informed me the calzone was good but only ate half. He tried my pizza and said it was bad. We threw the rest away.
